If it makes you feel better, my class was forced to use "'93 ... Way to be!" as our senior motto. It doesn't even make sense. No wonder I was a drug addict.

The fact that MTV had the audacity to say that "Cobain was the Jimi Hendrix of this generation" is reason enough for me to hate him. The fact that I thought his music sucked and he was overrated are just coincidence.

Since I'm sure that everyone has been waiting with baited breath, I'll do my Western Conference picks now ... 1. Detroit vs. 8. Nashville - even though the Wings goaltending situation is shaky, I just can't see the Preds winning a game in this series, let alone the entire series. Detroit in 4. 2. San Jose vs. 7 St. Louis - the Blues just don't have enough firepower to match up with the Sharks this year ... at least they kept the streak alive, though. San Jose in 6. 3. Vancouver vs. 6. Calgary - much like the other all-Canadian matchup, I think that this one comes down to the goaltending. And as much as I like Vancouver, I just don't think that they'll win the goaltending match-up, and will probably miss Bertuzzi more in the postseason than they did to end the regular season. Flames in 7. 4. Colorado vs. 5. Dallas - the Avs have too many players with great post-season histories to be a 1st round knockout this year. I don't think that they'll win it all, or even win the West, but they will escape past Dallas in round 1. Colorado in 7.

I'm going to skip the obvious choices that speak for themselves (Gunn, Holly, A-Train) ... they've all evolved past least favorite personality to a point where I'm just apathetic about them. Same with Austin, I don't care enough about him to hate him. My choices are as follows: SD male: Undertaker. Other than the first few months of his gimmick back in the early 90s, I've never been a fan of his. The whole 'dead man' shtick played itself out so long ago, it became a joke, almost like self-parody. The Undertaker can't go away soon enough for me. Raw male: Shawn Michaels. Yes, I'll recognize that he had great matches, and carried a lot of stiffs to good matches. But I couldn't ever find myself rooting against him as a heel or rooting for him as a face. I wish he stayed retired. SD female: Sable. Didn't find her hot years ago when she was younger and hotter. Don't find her hot now. Just go away. Raw female: Molly. A lot of it is because how much love she gets on this board. But I don't find her moveset to be as amazing as so many other people do (it's not much better than Victoria) and I find her to be unattractive. Petty reasons, yes, but it's enough to push her from "I don't care" to "I don't like".

I'm far from being a Batman fanboy, but that's really because I haven't liked anyone that's played the role. Bale, though, does a really good job of making me believe him as a character, so this might be the one that pushes me to fandom. Fingers crossed that it's a good movie.

1. The Stun Gun ... b/c his nickname was Stunning Steve, and the common name was the Hot Shot (a la Hot Stuff Eddie Gilbert) 4. Abdullah the Butcher (I think) 10. Snuka & Steamboat (I think)

My only question is when she crossed the line back to 'sane'. Her lawyer argued that she showed no emotion when killing her kids (which proved that was crazy, I guess). But it seems like she shows emotions just fine now: So, I guess the excuse is that she was crazy, but managed to regain her sanity while on trial for killing her kids. Phew, good thing that case of the crazies managed to go away. And why exactly would God be looking to divinely choose a mother to off her kids on Mother's Day?

This is the only board that I still actively post on. I've joined some other ones but for some reason never stuck with them too much. I lurk at a few hockey boards (the Bruins board, the hockey fights board) and a few 'adult' boards.

Ummm, Raycroft has been the Bruins clear cut #1 since about December. He only played 10 less games than Theodore, and has played about 80% of the Bruins games in the last half of the year. And he had better #s than Theodore (better GAA and save percentage, at least. Theodore had more shutouts, but playing more games would normally mean more opportunities for a shutout). While I wouldn't be surprised to see Theodore steal a game in this series, to say that he's the reason to pick Montreal doesn't make sense.

Being the lazy sod that I am, I'm just going to copy & paste my selections from the OAO NHL thread ... 1. Tampa vs. 8. NYI - the Isles played the Bolts tough this year, but I just can't see Tampa lose in the first round after playing so well all season. Tampa in 5 2. Boston vs. 7. Montreal - Yes, I will fully admit that I'm biased ... but if Thornton is healthy and Raycroft plays as well as he did all season, there's no way the Habs upset the B's again. Boston in 5 3. Philly vs. 6. New Jersey - Philly's annual goaltending problems cause them to lose to the Devils. Jersey in 6. 4. Toronto vs 5. Ottawa - Easily the hardest one for me to call. It all depends on which goalie is the healthiest; if Lalime isn't 100% or if Belfour has any back issues, their team is sunk. My only prediction is that this goes 7 games and the winning team is too spent to muster much in the second round. I can't choose a winner yet. I'll do the Western Conf tomorrow or Tuesday.

Truthfully, someone that looks like Torrie is more likely to get the average horny, 12-year old non-wrestling fan to buy the magazine than someone that looks like Victoria or Gail. Not that she's better looking, but the blonde/blue/silicon look is what young horny guys like.

6) Baby Doll, Nicola Roberts 7) Antonio Inoki 9) Dominic Denucci

Is everyone so young that they don't remember Percy Pringle III in his heyday? I have a hard time calling him "Paul Bearer" because I knew him better as Percy.

What does everyone think of trying to segregate the political talks and debates into a folder other than current events? I keep going into that folder to find something current that's worth reading and responding to, but more and more frequently it just seems to be 'conservatives' vs. 'liberals' battling in a big war of words. I don't come to a wrestling-based message board to be educated on how horrible Bush is, or how much of a tool Kerry is, etc. If we could keep all that in one folder, those of us that want to avoid the debates altogher could do so. Just my two cents.

Now starring ... Ted McGinley as Homer! Dana Carvey as Bart & Lisa!! The guy that played Booger in Revenge of the Nerds as every other male character!

Points taken, and understood. (and, no, you didn't sound like a prick). I'm just going to have to make it a habit to skip the CE folder more, I guess. And maybe avoid the ones that MikeSC starts, because he seems to start a thread with an ambiguous title, and only once it's opened and read is it realized to be a political conversation. I dunno, things like the major local news (e.g. brush fires in Colorado, or that huge highway fire in Conn.) or when there's major national news (e.g. highway shootings last year). Maybe the occasional fluff piece that gets moved to General Chat right away. I just feel like the conservative-liberal war is like the Hatfields and the McCoys, and the two sides will never agree so it's just dizzying to try and read through.

I like the way that you specify in this folder, Coffey ... like these kind of shenanigans are Ok in other folders, but this is the wwe one, dammit, and things have to be taken a little more seriously.

My favorite 5, in no order: the Black White Supremacist the Real World parody w/6 blacks and the one feeble white dude Both Charlie Murphy "True Hollywood Stories" (Rick James & Prince) R. Kelly "I want to piss on you" The one where Tyrone goes to talk to the schoolkids about drugs.

I began my senior paragraph with a line from a Cramps song: "If you can't dig me, you can't dig nothing" and ended it with a line from a Sinatra song: "And regrets, I've had a few, but then again, too few to mention."

Might as well ... How about me, am I grade-worthy?

Sorry to swing the conversation back to the original point ... ... maybe Booker has gotten good heel reaction on the mic. So, while he is getting squashed (and thus looking bad in the ring) his mic work before and after make make for big crowd reactions. Thus, he's looking good. Probably not, but there has been crazier theories.

When The Dynamic Duo got their heads shaved by the Von Erichs. Not really a one-night angle (like most of the other ones presented above) but it was just so cool how long they stayed masked. I remember reading one of the Apter mags, and it had an article about how one of them (Adams, I think) was re-shaving his head because he "wanted to see why he hated the Von Erichs everytime he looked in the mirror" and convinced Gino to do the same thing.) Just an awesome angle, and one that led to the Chris Adams 'blinding' angle that was cool before Gino went to the "Squared Circle and Coke Pile in the Sky"
