I've partied enough nitrous (socially) to know that I don't like what it does to me. If given the choice of using it or not, I'd prefer to tough it out and not have to deal with feeling so fucked up afterwards.

So is everyone under the agreement that the closest this board has to an 'offensive' sig is an Anal Cunt lyric? And not even one of their worse lyrics?? If so, then I don't think we need to be in a hurry to set a rule about having offensive sigs. When we finally find one, we'll know that a rule is overdue.

Did he have other daughters that he didn't molest? Was there any rhyme or reason to the ones that he did? (e.g. did they all come from the same mother or something?) It just seems weird that he'd diddle some of his kids but not others.

There's only one master of the heart punch, motherfucker: It would actually be pretty swank if they let Rico go all out in his Adrian Street impersonation. And then had A-Train reinvent himself as an Ox Baker impersonation. Maybe have Venis or Storm be the new Austin Idol. Maybe have Dinsmore be a "satanist" Kevin Sullivan and recruit people to be his Maya Singh and Purple Haze. (hell, I'd settle for someone ripping Maniac Mark Lewin in general) nl5: marks out for oldschool cheesy gimmicks.

Having overlooked the 'irregardless' debacle earlier, I hate to ask this but ... Do you mean cerebral? Or is this another one of those words that so often mis-spelled or mis-used that it's been accepted into every day life?

Gabe Sapolsky Heading To Nashville To Meet With TN
nl5xsk1 replied to BoboBrazil's topic in TNA Wrestling
To a lot of people, especially those in the deep south, it probably would make it worse. Digging underage kids is bad enough, but digging underage boys??? PLEASE NOTE: that's not my viewpoint, but just because you or I don't find it worse doesn't mean that there aren't a lot of people that do. -
How about if the match goes to the time limit draw and the show then ends? The fans in the arena chant bullshit so are rewarded with the match restarting with the show off the air. Benjamin then gets the win, but it's not announced on Raw next week because it's not 'official'. Shelton gets the win, but to 95% of the audience it's still undecided.

The official Dawn of the Dead 1979/2004 thread

In theory, though, it's actually not a bad idea. As far as they knew, it was an outbreak that was only spreadable by bite. If they could go to a place that no one there had the disease, they'd be all set. Without anyone there to bite them, they'd be safe (for the most part) from the disease. -
I had an accident when I was 14 and fucked up my mouth something serious. Screwed up the nerves to the point that novocaine and whatnot doesn't work anywhere but the exact place that they shoot it in. And I refuse to be put completely under unless I absolutely have to be. So, for the last 15 years of my life, every bit of oral surgery that I've had has been done with nothing but some white knuckling on the armrest of the chairs. nl5: envious of those that got kick ass drugs to put them under.

While I hate to use this word while talking about a zombie movie with a bunch of strangers on a message board, but I thought that the chainsaw scene added some realism (to an extent). Having worked with chainsaws before, I can say that it'd be pretty difficult to keep a steady hand with it while being standing in a fast moving passenger van. And I'm willing to guess that I have a little more strength than the guy that was actually wielding it at the time. -
Does this count as home games for either team? From a professional standpoint, it takes away from the home field advantage if either team loses a home game because of this (basically playing 83 road games and only 79 home ones) And from a fan standpoint, if I had season tickets for the Devil Rays (or, shudder, the Yankees) would I not get the full 81 home games because of this?
-
I picked up playoff tickets for all Boston home games, and the nights that I'm not watching the B's play I'll be watching the hockey package on cable. Half the reason that I picked it up is because they show every game of the first 2 rounds. Much better than ESPN picking every Wings & Avs game, but ignoring the other teams. And if there is a weekend game in Montreal (or Jersey, if that's what the matchup ends up being) then I'm SO heading there for a road game.

They should have put a bunch of these "vanilla" young guys with Heyman, and have him be their mouthpiece. Don't call it the Dangerous Alliance or anything, but just put them together. (maybe Heyman says that he was drafted to Raw as the GM, but he quit that and reapplied to get his managerial license) Paul does 99% of the talking, with the big guys looking menacing in the background. Maybe give the kids some mic time at house shows until they get the hang of it, but keep them off the mic while on TV. Hell, I'd rather see SOH & Jindrak (or SOH & Palumbo if they hadn't sent him to Raw) as tag champs than S2H & Rikishi, or the Dudleys, or the Bashams. It's so simple. They feud with other midcarders and tagteams, and then ultimately one or two is turfed from the group and goes face. They then feud with the rest of the stable. Shake and repeat as necessary. If even one or two new people break out to mid-card status, it's an improvement.

Seeing Morrissey and Sonic Youth = good things. Everything else = bad things. Sorry, the bad outweighs the good, no need to spend my money there this summer.

How insane was the end of that Tampa-Ottawa game last night? I missed most of it (hot date with an old flame, winkwink) but turned it on with about 4 minutes left. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised when the floodgates opened and goal after goal was scored. With their wins last night, TO is tied with my Bruins and the Sens are only 1 point back. But Boston has two games in hand over the Leafs, and one over the Sens, and have their next two games against Carolina & Washington. If the Bruins can pick up at least 5 points in their last 4 games, they should be able to win the division, and potentially hold off Philly for the 2nd seed in the East.

Only in America can a guy be considered a "saint' after fathering 14 children. How about some accountability and being a little more careful before spreading his seed all over town.

How I'd love to be a fly on the wall the first time that Morrissey and 50 Cent cross paths. 50 Cent will probably mutter some shit under his breath, not really comprehending that Morrissey's fame has, you know, lasted, and he's not a joke like Mr. Cent is.

Oh yeah he can sue, they sold beer to a minor. Should have carded him. To reiterate part of the story: He climbed in through a window. Once you're in the bar, it's believed that you've been carded at the door and thus you won't get carded once you're inside. So, the kid was illegaly in the bar when it happened. If that kid can win his lawsuit, then the person that Guerrero finally snaps and pummels can win his too.

Update of JD main event, Heyman and Teddy Long
nl5xsk1 replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
My question wasn't really directed from your post, it's more from years and years of watching wrestling. It always seems like it's a black guy with a black guy, or a black guy vs. a black guy. Only recently with the APA, TWGTT, and the Dudleys (who I guess aren't that recent) has there been many interracial tag teams. And I don't think that his current character is as good as "Peanuthead" era-Tedy Long. He managed the Skyscrapers, and did a good job of communicating for them, without resorting to "holla" and "playa". It's uneccessary, so why use it? -
Part of the schedule's been released ... Pats vs Colts, Thursday September 9 to start the season. Is the opener a big enough game to cause Peyton to choke? And from what I hear, the Pats are going to play Miami in their third game. If New England can win the first two, then they'd be going for the regular season winning streak record against the Dolphins.

The guy couldn't sue Eddie for anything! Judge: Why are you sueing him? Jackass: He punched me for throwing a soda at his kids. Judge: a.....huh, case dismissed. If anything he could sue the guards or whoever got him for bringing him to Eddie and letting Eddie beat the living crap outta him, but I really doubt he could sue Eddie. Do you pay any attention to the news?!? Cases much more asinine than this go to trial all the damn time, and often end up in cash awards (or settlements). If people can sue tobacco companies because they were too stupid to realize that smoking was unhealthy, and drunks can sue bars for continuing to serve them when they're too drunk to drive, then this clown can sue Guerrero, the WWE and the arena and have a reasonable chance of winning. Especially if he's hurt in the altercation (hearing loss, missed work, head trauma, etc). True story: a friend of mine from college snuck into a bar when he was underage (through a window) and proceeded to get overly drunk. Climbed on a table to act like a jackass, and fell and cut his arm on the glass that he was holding. Sued the bar for his injuries and won $25,000.00. If he can sue and win, why can't this guy that 'never meant to throw the cup, it was just slippery and slipped while celebrating with my favorite wrestler' (or some other crap excuse)?

Update of JD main event, Heyman and Teddy Long
nl5xsk1 replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
Two questions: Why does everyone want Teddy Long's entire managerial existance to be based around "whitey"? The guy is mad talented on the mic, even when not doing the whole 'playa' gimmick. Let him just manage someone and have it be that, a good talker managing a wrestler that's not a good talker. And why does everyone always want to place every black guy with another black guy? Now, it's Booker and Orlando Jordan being managed by Teddy Long. What about when Maven comes back, let's throw him there too. And Rodney Mack and Mark Henry. -
Getting Renberg & Tucker back will help lessen the blow of losing Nolan. The only Eastern team that's been able to avoid the injury epidemic is Tampa Bay. (hell, they've been pretty lucky all year). Philly's lost Roenick & Primeau (among others). NJ's defense has gotten banged up, with Stevens being the highest profile loss. NYI's lost Blake. Montreal lost Kovalev right when they picked him up. Ottawa's got Lalime as day-to-day now (and it's probably worse than they're admitting). And Boston just recently got Bergeron & Samsonov back. Hopefully a team won't see their Cup hopes go down the drain just because they lost a major player in the postseason. I like it when teams win a series, compared to the other team just losing it. (I don't know if that really makes sense ... I like it when a team earns a win more than gets a win by default)

Basketball has it worse than hockey, because basketball is actually effected by TV ratings, and thus the wants of the networks. Hockey draws shitty ratings regardless of what night it's on, so the networks and the league doesn't have to juggle the line-up to get certain games on Saturdays, Sundays or Wednesdays. Plus, they now switched it so it's 2-2-1-1-1 instead of 2-3-2. It's better for the home team (keeps home ice or home court advantage) but it means extra travel days.
