The person that I feel bad for is Snyder. While I'm as biased as Max, count me as someone that agrees that it's worth every penny. Getting every game of the regular season (barring local blackouts) is the balls. Getting the opportunity to see teams (and thus players) that you'd otherwise never get to watch is priceless - I saw more games with Vancouver, Minnesota, Atlanta, etc. last year than I'd have gotten to see in a decade of ESPN games. Plus, Hockey Night In Canada, every Saturday.

With Warner getting his ass handed to him so badly while playing behind a good O-Line in St Louis, can you all imagine the ass kicking that he'd receive playing behind a Line like the one they have in Arizona? Or with the Jets? Neither of those teams would gain more than 2-3 wins by having Warner as their starter. And the Jets would only need him until Pennington came back. If Warner was smart, and lucky, he'd be a backup for the rest of his career. Earn the big money that's on his contract for now, but without the risk of ANOTHER concussion. I hope that it's either just Smithers, or a random, secondary character. If they took two "mainstream" characters and changed them like this, it'd bum me out. Example: Sober Barney. It's been awhile since I've been to a wrestling event, but do they still have the verbage on the back of the tickets that talks about not interfering with the wrestlers, blah blah whatever it said? Basically you lose your rights when you violate the terms that you agree to when you purchase the ticket. (also not a legal eagle, just know some basics) You lose your rights to attend the entertainment, be it a sport, or sports entertainment, or music, or whatever. Basically, you break the rules and they'll kick you out. You don't lose your rights not to get your ass kicked, even if you deserve it.

It amazes me that with just a little more money being spent (not more than $6-8 million) the Bruins could be a legitimate force coming out of the East. Pick up Burke for one year, he's better than Potvin. Sign Boynton & Berard to shore up the defense. Sign someone like Oates to be the #2 center, and have him join Thornton, Murray, Samsonov, Knuble and Ralston as legitimate scorers. Throw in people like Lapointe and Axelson to occasionally chip in some goals. Maybe have some of the kids from Providence play well.
