I wonder what Pro Football Hall of Famer Reggie White would say about these tribes.

Can We Get Rid Of The "Teddy Bear" filter
nl5xsk1 replied to The Niggardly King's topic in Site Feedback
I want to see more Teddy Roosevelts and less Franklin Roosevelts. -
Similarly, I do all of my posting without really consciously thinking about it. Luckily, this aesthetic change won't effect me much.

That's not unusual though. Most new albums are carried by the production, rather than much skill by the musician or artist. It's not like Paris is the only one. I've been on a huge bad pop music kick lately. Nelly Furtado's new album? Awesome. 'SexyBack'? Awesome song. Even that horrible 'London Bridge' song by Fergie is money.

Why would a guy screw the bitch's ass when her vagina was right there, and much more accessable? And, thanks, I liked me lesser during my hiatus, too. Not much, lc231 ... as referenced in kkk's post, I've been on an internet "vacation". Just too busy at work, and life, to spend much time online lately.

It's for a sodomy charge, kkk ... I think the homeless guy raped a dude dog. What a fag.

No Are you sure about that, Slayer?

The way you say "see women lactating in public" makes it sound like the woman has her kid down on the table in front of her and she's shooting out a stream into it's open mouth. Pssst, I've got a secret: all you see is the kid's head pressed against part ofthe breast, blocking much of the mammary & all of the nipple. You really don't see much of anything. Also, most women have special shirts & bras that just unflap enough to expose part of the titty ... once the kid's mouth is pressed against it, and is suckling it's milky goodness, you see even less than I described above. I used to have a video of a woman breastfeeding her kid & a puppy at the same time. It wasn't hot at all. Maybe if the woman was more attractive it'd have done more for me, but as it was ... nothing.

Saw this link on fark, and thought I'd share it here: http://tv.ign.com/articles/720/720495p1.html I was going to post the whole article, or at least some 'highlights', but they're borderline spoilers ... so check the link if you're interested & willing. Rest assured, though, people that didn't like where Locke ended up will be happy, and people that wondered who was returning this year (out of the characters that were in the hatch during the big incident in the finale) will get (some of) their answers.

The Boston Globe had a write up of the players that the Isles have drafted and traded away in the Mad Mike Milbury era. It's insane the talent that that team HAD and traded away in lopsided deals: Redden, Chara, McCabe, Bertuzzi, Luongo, Kasparaitis, the pick that became Jason Spezza, Berard, Jokinen ... and that's just of the top of my head. Other than Blackhawks fans (and Bruins fans) no one can complain about their team without considering what life would be like to be a NYI fan. (and, btw, I dig the avatar, max)

Yeah, EHME, I take back my bullshit call ... you did say "usually". I just feel that a lot of Canadians piss on US weed too much, when really, other than BC, the average pot up there isn't that much (or at all) better than the average pot down here. And I got defensive (ha ha ha) ... so, my bad. I'll grant you that BC bud is really good, but I think it's because there's so much grown up there ... it's only understandable that the really good stuff would be really good. But a lot of BC bud that I've tried has been pretty 'meh' ... still kind but not the super-duper dank that people pretend it always is. Comparable to the kind that I got in Colorado or NoCal.
-
I call bullshit on that, EHME. To say that the entirety of America has shitty weed because your cousins or uncle can only get shitty weed is kind of a big stretch. Yeah, there's definitely some ditchweed in the States, but the good, quality indoors is every bit as good as what's available in BC.

Yes And yes. Emergency Picks will be sent shortly, kkk.

Couple of quick Bruins thoughts: Shanahan: The fact that the B's are even considering signing him just reeks of the old-guard trying to injerject their two cents. I can just picture Jacobs & Sinden sitting on a conference call and wondering who Savard is, and why they needed to pay such big bucks for a tall defenseman when they already had Good Ol' Gill right here in Boston. "Sign me a player that I've heard of, Harry!" and next thing you know the B's are up to their old tricks and overpaying for older players (Coffey, Leetch, Zhamnov, I'm looking at you). Offer him 1 year at $3.5 million, and when he says no, wish him good luck. If they do pull the trigger on the 2 year/$9.8 million deal, it will take away a lot of the positive momentum that the team's built this offseason. Chiarelli: I'm stunned at the Sens' decision to be ball-busters about this. The league has always had a "gentlemen's agreement" to allow personnel to leave for a better offer ... and now the Sens decide to play hardball. And like max said, all for a 2nd round pick!?! My biggest fear is that this will start a little front office rivalry, and then if/when the B's young players (e.g. Bergeron, Boyes) hit the market, the Sens will offer deals that the B's can't match. And after the Lapointe fiasco, the last thing I want is the Bruins front office to get into a pissing match with another team. Mowers: Why did the B's feel the need to sign a 4th liner when they still had RFAs to sign, and more important players to extend?!?

max, you're taking the Boynton trade a lot better than I am. Boynton - to me - was one of the few Bruins that really seemed proud to be a member of the organization. I hate to use this cliche, but he was an 'old-school Bruin'. Yes, he was hotheaded, and, yes, he sometimes took dumb penalties, but he played most of this season with a bad shoulder, and still showed more heart & a stronger want-to-win mentality than anyone else on the roster. And many of the old, beloved Bruins did the same things: played with emotions that sometimes boiled over in a negative way. You don't trade away players like that, IMHO. You reward them and build around them. You and I have both said this in the past (and you said it in the post that I quoted): Boynton should have been named Captain. I'm going to go as far as to say that he should have been given the 'C' this year. The fact that Mara re-upped for 2 years helps a little, because I had a sinking feeling that he was good as gone at the end of the year, and the team would have had nothing to show for the deal but a draft pick. Still, though, I'm sick & fucking tired of this organization thinking that signing or trading for local talent is more important than signing and trading for actual talent, or talent that really cares about winning. The fans aren't idiots: we're not going to say, "hey, let's go see the B's play tonight. They have all those guys that went to HS (or college) around here." Fans will go see a team because they're talented and because they win games. And I'm not 100% convinced that the team - with Mara but without Boynton - is better positioned to be a talented, winning taam. Sorry for the rant - had to get it off my chest.

Much the same way that the CFL & the NFL has different rules, one could say.

But didn't Sagawa only kill & eat one person? Maybe if this was a thread on cereal killers. /I'm not funny.

Flutie's a given for the college football HOF, and the CFL HOF ... but it'd be a fucking joke if he made it to the HOF in Canton. The guy was, for the most part, a career back-up that only had one good year as a starter. His NFL career falls way too short (no pun intended) for him to even be considered for induction into Canton. Listening to the local idiots try & justify inducting Flutie into the HOF has been painful. One genius went as far as to say that Flutie was held-back as a starter because coaches would rather lose with a tall QB than win with a midget like Dougie. (my words, not his ... but that was his actual point: coaches were so anti-Flutie that they'd rather keep him on the bench than win.)

I've cut most of the beef out of my diet over the last few years of my life. I haven't quit it altogether, but just greatly cut down on my intake. It's gotten to the point that I buy Boca Burgers at the grocery store and grill them instead of a real meat burger. (hooking up with a vegetarian girl will have that effect on a guy). But if I'm out for dinner, I have no problems with ordering steak tips or a burger. And eating it only a couple of times a month makes it kind of a 'treat' when I eat it.

Add me to the list of people that immediately thought "Desmond" when they showed the boat at the end. (And while I'm being added to lists, add me to the list of people that don't care for Michael OR Walt at all. Considering how much I liked Perrineau on OZ, it's disheartening for how little I like his acting on Lost. At first I didn't think it was him, really, but his character ... but these last few episodes have been killing me. He's just doing nothing to make me care for him or his quest to save his boy.) All in all, though, an awesome episode last night. Really good build to the season finale. Sawyer having his 'moment' with Jack was a good character development (and LotC, good line about them being BFF). Locke cutting his splint off and slowly walking up the bach was a wicked good scene ... although I'm still not 100% certain why he didn't attend the service at all. Sayid being the first (only?) one to realize that Michael's been compromised shows that he's the one that should be the Alpha Male of the original survivors, instead of Jack OR Locke (Eko might be #1 on the island, IMHO). And, speaking of Eko, he was, as always, stellar. Next week really can't come quick enough.
