Saved from the 2nd to the last thread on page two ... the bump of Survivor: Exile Island. Good episode last night, glad to see the Shaniac finally get kicked off. It was pretty laughable to see how wrong he was about being in control of the game. Him convincing himself that he was the one running things, and then getting blind-sided, was exquisite. Also loved the double-entendres during the RC. "Danielle has her hands on her bag" made me borderline laugh out loud. Lastly: how disappointing is Sally's appearance now that she's cleaned herself up? Add her to the list of Survivors that look MUCH better on the island than they do in RL.

Skip Bayless > Woody Paige. Of course, comparing the two of them is like comparing testicular cancer to prostate cancer, and being told that you had to pick one as preferable as the other. Even the "preferable" one still sucks; it's just the lesser of two evils. After living in Colorado and having to read Paige's "funny" writing in the Denver Post, there's no way I can stomach watching him on TV. His shtick wasn't funny then, and it's really not funny now.

Add me to the "Libby's not dead yet" list. There are still too many unanswered questions about her past & her role on the island. When other people were killed, most/all of their pre-island questions were answered (Boone, Shannon, AL) ... but Libby is still too up-in-the-air. Also add me to the list of people that thought "noooooo" when they showed that one scene in the previews for next week (not going to say which scene, for the people that don't watch previews ... but to those that saw it, 99% of you probably thought the same thing). I don't think Michael's "turned" or been brainwashed ... I think that he was captured and then offered a deal: if he could bring the rest of the survivors to the Others, then they would release Walt back to him. What I'm not sure of, though, is if he was explicitly told to kill AL or if killing her was just the easiest way to get the gun, access to "Henry" and get control of the hatch. Methinks it's the latter, but maybe the Others wanted AL dead for what she did to Goodwin. Oh, and what point does Locke get faced with a "help Henry or help Jack" scenario?

It's a petty complaint, but I dislike the fact that Sportscenter gives all sorts of stats on a game-by-game basis, but don't give much in terms of season stats or team standings. It sucks to see that team A won, and team B lost, but not knowing how the win/loss effects their spots in the standings. Or how so-and-so's points in a given game effect their spot amongst the league leaders. And it's all because of stupid fantasy sports. People care more about how a certain player did in a game than how he's doing all year or how the actual real team is doing.

There's something funny about people saying that it's karma that came back to haunt Holly, and seemingly are pleased that he's (potentially life-threateningly) sick. Umm, not to point out the obvious, but that same karma could & would come back to bite you all in the ass for taking such pleasure in his illness. If people are so into wrestling that they'd rather see a man stay sick, or even die, than be able to come back and live a normal, healthy life, maybe it's time they re-evaluated their love of this fake little 'sport'.

Not to sound like a sadist, but I was disappointed in the age of the kids in BR. I wanted them to be younger & was sad to see that they were mid-teens. I'd hoped for tweens or younger.

So, I'm reading Us Magazine this past weekend (shut up, I was at my friend Joan's house, and she subscribes) and there's a small blurb about how there's potentially a "leak" about who this season's winner is. Evidently the webpage that takes bets on these sorts of things (bodog, I think) received a huge influx of max bets on one person, to the point that it raised a flag about the winner being leaked ... and it's believed a "close associate" of the person that everyone was all of a sudden betting on is the source. And, best of all, Us wasn't cryptic about who it was, and showed their picture and gave their name, pretty much spoiling it for everyone unfortunate enough to read their horrid magazine.
