Agreed, Max, the B's players looked good last night. The team as a whole, not so good. Other than Bergeron, I don't see that many pretty passes or well-orchestrated teamwork. It seems to be a never-ending stream of solo-work & 'right-place-at-the-right-time' that generates their offense. And did you watch the OLN between-periods coverage? Pierre Maguire gave about the most damning evaulation of a GM & Player that I've ever heard from an international sports reporter, slamming MOC and saying "Zhamnov? Was he even in the league still?!?"

NoCal, I'll readily admit that smoking makes someone smell like smoke ... but no one says that, they say "it's like kissing an ashtray" - which is inherently not true. Ashes taste noticably different than smoke. So unless the smoker ashes in their mouth, their mouths would most likely not taste like an ashtray.

I was actually going to start a very comparable thread to this, but never got around to doing so. My year was, sadly, the worst one that I've had in a long while. Nothing especially bad happened, but nothing especially good happened, either. Both 2k3 & 2k4 were strong years for me, though, so I kind of presumed this year was going to be average-at-best.

I tend to wake up naked every time I drink enough to black out. There's normally a pretty blatant trail from the front of my apartment to my bed, so I know the exact order in which I undressed. And SoCo is for girls.

Truly wasn't my intention, just more a curiosity. RE: Armstrong's delivery. He's done enough in punk to get a pass in my eyes (and ears, I guess). It's like Ian Mackaye or Henry Rollins: I think both are self-righteous pricks a lot of the time, but both have earned the right to be that way. Crusher Blackwell: is that the same Jerry "Crusher" Blackwell that appeared in the AWA? And both Dick Slater & Blackjack Mulligan as faces in the WWF? I knew the former was there as the Rebel, and the latter was one of the Machines, but I had no idea the former was ever a face and the latter was there without the mask ... let alone as a face.

And - in my opinion - fake wrestling involving fake punching, fake kicking, worked 'submission' holds, etc, has nothing to do with legit amateur wrestling. In one of the sports, your goal is to literally control your opponent and in the other your goal is to work with them. And I thought that Luger was a former USFL and CFL player.

I'm well aware, Porter. I didn't mean to leave it open ended for presumption that I was implying that Mongo was an amateur wrestler. The points that I was trying to make were two-fold: the first is that pro wrestling and amateur wrestling are not the same sport, or even comparable. And that ability in one sport (be it football or amateur wrestling) doesn't necessarily equate to ability in another (pro wrestling). Mongo was a decent football player, and a not-so-decent wrestler.

I could see sucking her titties or finger banging her. But not fucking her, even a 14-year-old horndog would have to realize that he'd be leaving all sorts of jismy evidence. And it's not like a kid's going to put on a jimmyhat to bang his dead mom. And don't even say that he could eat the evidence when he was finished.

You label those straight-edgers "ultra annoying dickholes", being sXe doesn't make you a "dickhole". Assholes exist everywhere, in all groups or whatnot. Then the straight edgers have a much higher ratio of assholes compared to other groups. No, it's just the die-hard sXe'ers tend to be louder and more obnoxious than the casual/normal ones, and thus it just seems like there are more of them. The ones that aren't being pricks about it are probably just presumed to be something other than straight edge. And I've dated plenty of smokers ... the whole 'their mouths are like an ashtray' thing is so played out. They don't ash in their mouths, and thus their mouths taste nothing like an ashtray. Their mouths might taste like cigarette smoke, but not cigarettes ashes. Big difference.

RE: the ability of an amateur wrestler to 'get it' compared to a non-amateur wrestler: Give me a guy that's been a 'pro wrestling' fan his whole life (even if he doesn't have 1 second of amateur wrestling experience) over a guy that's been a lifelong amateur wrestler but has limitied exposure to WWE-style wrestling. Pro & amateur wrestling are two different sports. And ability in one sport does not automatically equate to ability in another. Mongo McMichael, anyone?
