Yeah, he really should have waited a week before overdosing on Somas, out of respect for Eddie. And, re: Foley & Starrcade ... was he ever in a Starrcade match worth noting? I dropped out of the wrestling scene for a fair amount of the 90s, so he might have been ... I just don't know of any. Or was he just there because he's a big name, is 'old-school' and wanted the paycheck?

Porter, you should be ashamed for bringing common sense into this thread. People should fuck off for telling someone what is or isn't offensive to them. Just because it doesn't offend you (random poster) doesn't mean it can't be offensive to someone else. For example: if WCW had made a reference or joke to Owen's harness malfunctioning, people might be offended by it. Others might not be offended at all. I personally would have thought that it was classless and crass, but not offensive at all. But I certainly wouldn't be online telling those that found it offensive how wrong they were. In the grand scheme of things, I don't think Vince thought it would be offensive, or was looking for publicity over it. It was most likely a joke that he thought would be funny ... and he thought wrong.

Agreed. Which is something that we all knew was going to happen this season, it was just a matter of when. And it's not like the title is "The Unsuccessful Hunting Party" ... it gives away a theme, not a piece of the plot. Plus, to people that think plot titles are spoilers: Do you not watch the commercials or "scenes from next week's episode" teasers? /not a flame, but a legit question

Murdoch called out Flair post-match. They probably wanted a mid-level face for him to go over to give his calling out the IC champ a bit more credibility.

I think Murdoch shows charisma, and could be used as a midcarder or tag wrestler for a long time. He shouldn't be going over Benjamin, but he's more than "a slovenly, pasty, semi-comedy wrestler". Charisma > Buff body. and to reiterate: I don't think he should be going over Benjamin.

I contemplated ignoring you for the LOST thread, Stephen J ... but changed my mind and am pleased to have done so. I've yet to ignore anyone, and would like to think that I'm not ignored by anyone either. I might be among the least liked, but I'm not worth ignoring.

Hockey games: Been to pro games in Boston (obviously), Philly, MSG, Toronto, Montreal, Buffalo, & Detroit. It's far and away the sport that gains the most from being there live, compared to watching it on TV. I have no problems getting to the arena for the pre-game skate around, and staying interested even during the Zamboni clean-ups and whatnnot. I've been to a bunch of AHL games, too ... same thing: awesome live, especially since everything (tix, food, beers) is so inexpensive. Baseball & Basketball games: Been to a ton of Red Sox games, but also to Comiskey Park , Wrigley Field & Yankee Stadium. I find baseball to be uber-boring, though, so I might prefer to watch a game than be at it live. At least on TV I can flip around between pitches. I tend to get over-drunk at Sox games, just for something to do. Basketball is pretty much the same: I don't care enough about who wins/loses, so I'm really just there more than enjoying the game per-se. Football games: Tailgating beats actually being in the stadium. I do have to admit, though, that I didn't really go to a football powerhouse for college, so it was easy to go to games w/o the bullshit that Dama referenced to start this thread. I hate it when fans think that they're part of the show, and try to be the 'funny guy' of the section. Far too often, it's just a loudmouth drunk yelling slurred insults that make little-to-no-sense. Canadians booed the US anthem. Repeatedly. Even when a Hab legend prefaced the anthem with a request NOT to. Booing the anthem is bushleague.

I've been watching, Dama. Survivor sucks now that it's just a race to see who can form the strongest alliance. It's cool watching the old seasons on OLN because it's not unusual for 3-4-5 people get votes each time they go Tribal. (I only started watching Survivor with any regularity a couple of seasons ago, so the old ones are new to me.) Now it's just the clique voting off the minorities, it seems. Having said all that, I'm with you: if anyone besides Danni or Rafe wins, I'll be bullshit. The former because she's very, very hot. The latter because he deserves to win. If Judd or Steph win, I'll be irate.

A friend of mine bought one of those ski masks that covers the entire face, with just holes for the mouth & eyes, at Oona's Experienced Clothing in Cambridge, MA. I was pretty skeeved that he'd not only buy it but wear it pretty much non-stop from the minute he bought it. So, yeah, your hat story is kind of risky/gross.
