She reminds me of a much older Bridget Wilson (spelled wrong, I think ... the girl from Billy Madison that married Pete Sampras)

After seeing Favre crawl like a geriatric at the end of last week's game ... I don't think I'd want what he's bringing to the table. Even if McNabb is hurt, he's bringing more than Favre. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Havent caught too much football this season eh? You do realize that Favre's playing on a third string team right? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, fully aware that the Packers have been decimated by injuries. But I'm also aware that the Favre still thinks he has the arm strength to throw balls through double coverage ... and is slow to realize that a lot of these attempts are being caught by guys in the wrong colored jerseys. Plus, regardless of who's playing around him, running 5 yards past the line of scrimmage and throwing an underhanded I-don't-know-what after a fake spike ... not an improvement over McNabb. Like I said, even an injured McNabb is bringing more to the table this year than Favre is.

I nominate Kevin, as the last remaining Von Erich, for the role of referee.

At least Boon is quasi-realistic. I don't think many parents would name their kids nl5xsk1.

Oooh, the house comes with a pool table, too. Can I bid $1.00, like on The Price is Right?

About 4 years ago or so, I had season tix to the B's with a bunch of my friends. There was a game on my birthday, and I told them that all I wanted was for it to say "happy birthday nl5" on the jumbotron (with my real name in lieu of my TSM name, obviously). I just thought it'd be fucking hilarious to have all these birthday wishes for all these kids and preteens ... and then ~wham~ happy 26th to some old fart like me. But my friends didn't hook me up. Such a sad day in my pitiful little world.

No. Pics are necessary when mentioning these indy girls. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> http://images.google.com/images?q=Daizee+H...G=Search+Images

I think that's their goal: people flipping to TNA when the WWE is showing a 20 minute interview, or an angle built around an announcers ass, or when the McMahon family is enjoying an in-ring circle jerk ... and then not going back for a while. I don't think that they realistically think that people would just immediately turn away from the WWE 100%.

There's actually a good chance I'll be out in that neck of the woods, Boon. A friend is having people over in Charlie, and we normally end up heading over towards that area once it gets boring at her place. I'll keep my eyes & ears open for drunken birthday revelry. Oh, and if your friends really cared about you, they'd have a birthday acknowledgement shown on the jumbo tron at the game.

Where you going out drinking, Boon?

Not for the 1% that understands it.

My whole point about Richards, et al, is that they wouldn't be fired, but choose to go to the alternative. Especially if TNA gets off the ground and has regular PPVs, free TV specials, videogames, DVDs, etc.

Credit: PWtorch So it looks like Christian suffered Steven Richards' fate. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm surprised he hasn't quit yet, as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You know, this could end up being the first of several/many mid-card or so level guys that just refuse to resign once their contracts are up. Especially if TNA continues to be a relatively respectable #2 in the industry. I could easily see people like Venis, Richards, Benjamin, Chavo all refusing to re-up and going to ROH/TNA/indies.

Cena's teh suXor. Take teh belt off of him and give it to Triple HHH.

I think he said something that was deemed to be anti-Semitic, and that's what got him canned, more than just an anti-Disney comment. And while I agree that Spielberg was just giving the fans what they wanted ... he shouldn't have called it War of the Worlds if it's not going to be a remake of the actual flick.

^ From this week's TMQ article. I read him pretty much every week ... it's always a good read, once you learn to skim through the less interesting rants. This week's was good (as in the alien article that you posted) but sometimes it's just a long-winded rant about something like molecular biology or something ... and it's just too painful to really read. But I agree, I dug his poking major holes in all of the alien/sci fi flicks.

Max, I worded my sentence poorly when talking about Dallman & Alberts ... I meant to imply that one or the other would be fine as a 3rd pairing D-man, with someone more experienced to stabilize them. Maybe Slegr, seeing as I don't trust Gill and wouldn't want Boynton to have to drop that deep. In re-reading what I wrote, it looked like I was saying that the two rooks should be a pairing ... not what I meant to say, though. And, yeah, I heard about Leetch yesterday while driving away from work, but didn't get the chance to go online and provide an update. With him being out for a minimum of 4 weeks, and Moran going to get his knee scoped, the B's D is in worse shape than ever. Raycroft was talking about being back tonight vs. Florida, so that would help. Nothing against Toivenen, but I feel more confident with Razor in net.

ESPN searches for the next World Series of Poker..

Sorry to bump this thread, but I think they found something to make curling more popular ... showing the women nekkid. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/sto...BNStory/Sports/ borderline NSFW picture within, btw -
Who'd be dumb enough to do that ........... twice? And I didn't forget, I just didn't have access to the internet at the time.

The Colts got fucked by the Pats injury situation, though. If Indy wins, people can say that they beat a depleted defense, making the win seem less impressive. If Indy loses, it looks extra bad.

RE: the bolded part ... Vince cares about the people putting money in his pockets ... and in my opinion marks are more likely to buy stupid merchandise & PPVs (regardless of how piss-poor they look to smarks). Having said that, though, I do agree that he's not sitting around looking at ways to piss off the IWC. He's not overly concerned to pandering to us, but I don't think he cares enough about us to go out of his way to bother us.

I personally didn't celebrate harder over beating the Colts than I did the SB, in the regular season OR the playoffs. The Steelers win the playoffs gave me a bigger rush, but that was more because of how much I loved to see Roethlisberger & Cowher fall short. And it's not like the Pats had a series of articles about how hard they were working to beat the Colts in the regular season. ESPN had a big article about Freeney, maybe 2 months ago, and all he's doing to beat the Pats on 11/7. They should be worried about winning in Detroit this winter, not in Foxboro in November.

If people in this area are still so stupid that they look to the Globe, Herald or EEI for unbiased news, they're borderline retarded. The media coverage in this town sucks. That quote was, sadly, the best thing that Pitino did while with the C's.

Extremely good luck? When they signed him, Ortiz was a platoon at best / back-up at worst (to Giambi!) that got very limited playing time. If Giambi stays healthy, Ortiz never becomes ~Ortiz!~. I will concede that Theo saw enough in Ortiz to warrant getting him ... but I really don't think that he had any idea how prolific Ortiz would become. It's not like they picked up Ortiz and plunked him in the middle of the line-up to build a team around.
