The WWE will make money off of this whole stupid debacle. The Warrior will not. Winner: WWE.

Question for you all ... I presumed that the 'others' that Jin spoke of were the people from the rear of the plane, as many of you did. But a girl I work with pointed out that in the coming attractions they showed Sawyer & Michael get thrown into a cell with (I-forget-her-character's-name, but Rodriguez is her real name). Since we know that she was in the rear of the plane, why would the other survivors have her captured like that??

Don't worry, Boon, I'm sure the Pats can find another guy to fumble all the fucking time. Every year I say to myself "this is the year that the Pats finally replace Faulk with a back that doesn't fumble so damn often." And every year I'm disappointed when Faulk makes the team. Just give his PT to Pass. And put Dwight & Johnson as the two kickoff return-men.

I'm pretty sure fall is my favorite season.

I'm a fan of autumn as well ... Pros: football's in full swing, hockey's starting out, baseball's ending, TV shows that were gone over the summer are back, it's not unbearably hot in my apartment, normally it's harvest time so there's tons of good grass around, indoor concerts (compared to outdoor pavillion shows) ... I could go on and on. EDIT: I, like Milky, look best in 'autumn-weather' clothes (& colors, too) Cons: girl's don't wear short shorts & barely-there tops. The quantity of the Pros outweighs the quality of the Con. -
ding~ding~ding ... we have ourselves a winner. I'll watch that show long enough to see what the contestants look like, and if there's someone worth leering at I'll watch long enough to see the inevitable water contest. The rest is just tedious to watch.

I don't mean you individually, Loaded Glove, but that kind of mentality cracks me up "Yeah, he's QB'ed 3 Super Bowl winners, and is undefeated in the playoffs and OT, but he only leads them to winning FGs not TDs". Jeez, man, a game winning field goal is good enough since it, y'know, wins the game.

Question: your theory makes it sound as if the Pats recognized that they had a weak offense and purposely build a gameplan around having a defense strong enough to cover for it. Wouldn't it have been easier to just improve the offense? And while not a great offense, I think to say "average at best" is a hyperbolic. There's a shitload of teams that could kill to have a QB like Brady, RB like Dillon, and a TE combo like Watson & Graham. Not necessarily the greatest offense in the world, but certainly above average.

Warrior absolutely shreds WWE in Byte This reponse

So it's Ok to make fun of a guy's colostomy bag but not Ok to call another guy 'queer'? Interesting. -
Fish, are you sure the Trish spot wasn't a botch ... I admit that I wasn't paying full attention, and I was stoned, but I thought it looked like Victoria had a "oh shit" face right when Trish started to go crashing towards the floor, and the reason she followed was because she tried to catch Trish or at least help her direct her fall in a less paralyzing position. /loves the divas and this entire angle
-
Yeah, Check is right ... spelling names right is important.
-
Quick question about the woman's title match ... what do you guys think was originally planned for the bump that became "Trish falls from Victoria's lap and Victoria nearly kills herself trying to make a 'oh-shit' save"? It looked like they were building to something, but Trish lost her balance and Victoria tied her up enough to lessen the fall.

The Pats have survived the loss of their two coordinators. They survived the loss of their #1 safety and their #1 CB over the course of the last few seasons. So far they're doing Ok in terms of surviving with Bruschi and Johnson. But losing Harrison & Light in one game might be the toughest losses of the lot. Bright side: this gives Wilson, who's improving game-by-game, the chance to do some hardcore on the field learning. It should help his game in the long run.

No idea who the Blue Eyed Devils are, either ... I'll have to expand my hate-rock borders, I guess. GG I've heard of, though, so that gives a good point of reference. If Skrewdriver could have remained non-racist (they started off as a Stones cover band, and played good old fashioned Oi) they'd be among my favorite bands. I love them musically, I just don't dig their message.
-
Musically, Skrewdriver is the most appealing ... technically they're Oi! rather than punk or hardcore, but they seem to have the best sound to me. But they seemed to have been actual musicians that ended up using racism as a gimmick rather than racists that picked up instruments and pretended to be a band. I've never heard Angry Aryans ... any comparisons to other bands for a sound?
-
Rah Digga > Lil Kim. Milky, any favorites in the White Power music scene?

^ I miss not having to deal with gimmick posters on the internet

VX ... the spoiler posted right underneath the link states what Walt said. And re: your request about a source for it not being purgatory, C&P from the fark message board ... EDIT: of course, they might have been planning on it being purgatory and then had to scramble & lie when it was immediately guessed.

Reading quote-filled posts confuses me.

Cool, thanks, guys. Any word on how long they're going to be re-running them? I'm presuming that if it is just an anniversary thing they'll only run for a finite amount of time ...

I presumed that the 'execute' button was used to show how hold the PC was ... I don't think that a button that triggers a literal execution would be marked as such. I presumed that he was sweaty & nervous and all because his safe sanctuary had been penetrated, and thus he was vulnerable. He didn't know that it was 2 (ultimately 3) survivors with minimal weapons and no harmful intent. I'm presuming that once the dust settles he won't be so nervous and threatening.

This might be a stupid question ... but how long has C&H been back? I don't normally read the comics, but I was at my family's house on Sunday and while fishing for the sports section I ran across the comics. And right there, center of the front page, was a C&H. The date that was written into a panel was that day's date ... so, are they just re-running old comics (that correspond to the month & day) or is Watterson writing new ones?

Unbelievably good episode last night ... from the opening sequence on, it was money. Random thoughts: - I don't think Desmond knew that someone was opening the hatch when it happened, but had prepared for it happening. Thus, he was able to get a gun and get to a safe position where he could attack an intruder as needed amazingly quickly. - Where the hell is Kate? Locke said that she's Ok, but can we trust him, or was he just saying it to keep Jack calm? - The other hole(s) on the island (e.g. the one that Locke almost got pulled into by that black-cloud-stuff that was referenced last night) ... how do they tie into Desmond's lair? Other entrances/exits? Other hatches?? Curry, the show pretty much abandoned being realistic when they saw a polar bear, gave a character 'the shinning', had a paralyzed person be able to walk, etc etc etc. Just another reason to suspend disbelief, says I. Mik ... good call on finding that. Awesome spoiler.

News that could ultimately be the greatest moment in recent Bruins history, from the Boston Globe ... Nick Boynton's holdout officially entered Week 2, amid reports from Canada that the Bruins are looking to trade veteran blue liner Hal Gill. If Gill were to get the gate -- possibly for only a draft pick in return -- it would free up some cap space, and in theory allow the Bruins to boost their offer to Boynton. They can't trade Gill soon enough for my liking.

I don't mind the college rules, but I dislike how close they start to the other team's end-zone ... keep it with the existing premise (team a gets their shot to score, then team b gets their shot, etc) but each team starts their drive at their own 25 yard line. This would force them to actually move the ball a minimum of (roughly) 45 yards or so to even have a chance at a FG.
