I'll say one thing ... the song was catchy. I found myself singing it in my head most of last night, and that was only after 1 viewing. Give me a few repeat viewings and not only would I buy their single, I'd probably go see them on tour.

Since this board has a ton of Hitman fans, let me ask this: If Bret Hart was announced as appearing, would people be singing a different tune? Yes, I fully acknowledge & understand that he wouldn't do something like this just to help his arch-enemy ... but pretend that the price was right, and he was willing to go against his word & beliefs ... would people think differently about the Night of Champions?

It's probably safe to say that something from nationalvanguard.org isn't necessarily safe to look at while at work, eh? I'll wait until I get home.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wait, I thought his quote was "George Bush doesn't care about Black people" ... how is that addressing the alleged media racism? And I think that if Kanye West called a press conference, there's a chance that not many people would have shown up to see it / report on it live, but his comments would have gained plenty of attention. It's far from a red herring, and I only partially disagree with Kanye's statement. (I said earlier that I agree that Bush doesn't care about POOR people, regardless of the color of their skin. If this was a piss-poor white community in peril, Bush would be as apathetic as he is about a poor black community.) And regarding the second bolded part, I don't think Kanye hates America, nor do I think he's stupid, belligerant, or foul-mouthed. Most importantly, the color of his skin has nothing to do with my feelings on the entire subject. I will agree that he showed a remarkable lack of tact in his timing, though.

Ripper, if Kanye held a press conference, invited the major media, and dropped that bombshell, he'd reach as many people as he did by saying it at the telethon. And he'd have caught much less heat for doing it away from the fundraising movement.

Reminds me of a WCCW (dying days) house show in Lubbock i went to, they had two seperate entrance ways where the faces had one, and heels had the other. The battle royale at the end was hilarious cause once Abdullah got in the ring, the ring broke. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think in the days of kayfabe, the heels used one dressing room and the faces another, to prevent them from fighting before they got to the ring.

While we're talking about things being ribs at other people, is Palmer Canon a rib at anyone? Or is it just a stereotypical bourgeoisie name?

I'll never post pics of myself online, so can't give the visible 'proof' ... but I've been sporting the Abe Lincoln beard for the last few weeks. It's not going to last long, because it looks like shit over video, but I've been digging it for now.

She was hot. Next time you show a chick get pwn3d, make her an ugly girl, please.
-
She's an attractive piece of TnA (no pun intended) that can be used to sell 'diva calendars' and comparable shit if TNA ever gets big enough. And since she's professionally trained she can also bump and thus be used in the ring (as a victim of a beatdown or when a face gets retribution for her cheating against him) without much risk of her getting hurt.

If the media is so biased, why do I keep seeing reports and footage of African Americans acting as saviors, helping other people in distress; saving lives by rescuing women, children, elderly and animals; protecting against looters and criminal elements; etc.? I've truthfully seen more coverage of black people acting as good Samaritans than I have coverage of whites doing good deeds. For the same reason that I've harped on repeatedly in this thread: Most of the people that are stranded are black. And thus they're more likely to be the ones doing really good things. And really bad things. And doing NOTHING. And I don't think Bush hates black people, he hates poor people. If this was a community of affluent black people, Bush would have helped them the same as if they were affluent whites.

Vince looks so clumsy because he over-'medicated' with steroids and size enhancing drugs. I'd like to think he would have been smarter if he had any real inclination in being a full-time wrestler.

Pats - 24 Oakland at New England (7.5) Chicago at Washington (6.5) Cincinnati (3.5) at Cleveland Denver (4.5) at Miami Houston at Buffalo (4.5) New Orleans at Carolina (6.5) N.Y. Jets at Kansas City (3.5) Seattle at Jacksonville (3.5) Tampa at Minnesota (6.5) Tennessee at Pittsburgh (6.5) Arizona at N.Y. Giants(1.5) Dallas at San Diego (4.5) Green Bay at Detroit (2.5) St. Louis (4.5) at San Francisco Indianapolis (3.5) at Baltimore Philadelphia (1.5) at Atlanta - my biggest question about this game is which overrated superstar will receive the most oppressive verbal fellatio, Vick or TO? I've got my money on TO.

I think changing the pics so you two looked like you were back-to-back would have helped the aesthetics of the promo. Just my two cents, or whatever monetary equivalent you use for that cliche.

If this is the first time you've watched wrestling and see that both the full nelson and/or narcissist gimmicks never get over. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Georgeous George was over. (the old wrestler, not the hooker that accompanied Macho Man to the ring in WCW).

I think it had more to do with the fact that the media also had images of white people doing the same thing, except when they did it they were "finding food" as opposed to looting. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes ... but they also showed clips of black people "finding food". It's not like every time it was a black person it was looting and every time it was a white person it was finding food. They called a looter a looter, regardless of their skin tone.
-
It's absolute bullshit to say that all blacks were shown as looters and all whites were shown in a positive light. They showed looters as looters regardless of the color of their skin ... and showed people suffering or doing the right thing regardless of the color of their skin. The sad truth was that most of the people that were stranded were African American, thus most looters were African American. But they showed plenty of clips of black people in a positive light, too.

Dunno. Now Dany Heatley trying to drive through Boston while drunk, that might have some action. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Might help if he still played for the Thrashers though, right? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe the Hossa/Heatley deal was just the first part of a 3-way, Max, and now the B's will ship Joe T up to Ottawa for Heatley, and Czech knew about that and just wasn't supposed to say anything but slipped. Man, I hope not.

Milky, is it safe to presume that, after my non-inclusion in your idiot summary, that I am indeed an idiot?
-
I think bringing Bundy back would be a good idea, since (like Hansen) he has a past in the AWA ... and he was a face then, teaming with Blackwell vs. the Road Warriors.
-
Interesting theory ... other than wasting my time talking about this idiot (Strom, not King) I've done little more than joke about MLK being a troublemaker. Oh, I was the first one to say that Hitler wasn't 100% evil, but I stand by that statement. /most likely still an idiot //doesn't really care

Massachusetts has a plague with drunk driving hockey players ... besides the obvious MacTavish killing that woman on Rt 1, Marty Lapointe rolled his car a few seasons ago, right on main street in Andover. The police literally shut down the road on both sides and had his car towed away, wiping the whole thing under the rug.

It's not as newsworthy, but nl5xsk1 thinks Stevens is going to retire, too. EDIT: And after looking through the schedules, why does OLN think the B's/Caps is worthy of showing 3 times? And why do two B's/Thrashers games get national coverage?!?
