The lack of Cam Neely on that list makes it obsolete in my opinion. Yes, I know that they have to put current players on it to make it more relevant, but putting Ovechkin, Modano, Crosby, and F'ing Lindros on there but not Neely is a farce. Call me biased if you want, but I don't remember any of them scoring 50 goals in 44 games.

We had our at a Country Club this year ... really good food (Medallions of Beef was my entree) and open bar all night. We had a really shitty turn-out, though, because we had layoffs in October & November so people skipped the holiday party as a protest ... yeah, I work with a group of Rosa Parks' all-right. I had to go, since I'm management & all, but it just meant that the open bar that was supposed to last 2 hours ended up lasting all night. We then went to the bar area of the Club, and I ended up winning $50.00 on games of pool. And I still got out of there early enough to meet friends at the bar near my apartment.

I paid to have my laundry done for my last 3 years of college. The laundromat near my house had a "pay by the pound" offer, and I used to pay them to do my laundry. I even paid the extra money in order to have everything - even my socks and boxers - ironed.

The thing with the Caps is that their attendance was - according the papers the next day - 15,000 ... so they're probably selling the tickets, it's just that no one is using them. If I had the chance to see Ovechkin & Semin 41 games a year, I'd go to games. Season tickets in the area that I was sitting in went for about $500.00 a year. And the three teams that I think of when it comes to contraction are Phoenix, Florida and Atlanta, but Bettman would never admit that those were mistakes. Pittsburgh would be added to that list, just for their arena issues, and Anaheim would be if it wasn't for the success that adding Pronger & Niedermeyer will give you.

As much as I hate to admit it, the vast majority of Sox & Pats fans are worth the hate that they get on these boards. Most Sox and Pats fans are annoying twats that make those of us that aren't obnoxious assholes easy to forget, overlook, or just dislike by association. A local writer came up with it a few years ago as part of his columns in the Globe, but this season the team officially adopted it as part of it's marketing spin. And I went to the Caps/Sens game when I was down in DC on Wednesday ... man, I've never seen a game with so few people in attendance. There couldn't have been more than 3,000-4,000 people there. I've never even seen a minor league game with such a piss-poor turnout. In the first time I've seen either play live, Ovechkin picked up 3 helpers, and Semin impressed the hell out of me.
