    if you seen bushwick bill

First, the bad joke: are you sure it was really him and it wasn't just your mind playing tricks on you? Next, my legitimate opinion: I wouldn't approach Bushwick, but I would Scarface or Willie D. 'Face just seems more approachable and Willie blatantly admitted to being a phony on the Geraldo Rivera show, so neither of them really scare me. Bushwick has that "would shank you for the sake of doing it" vibe.

    Non-wrestlers dominating Raw

The only positive way to spin this is to have Kane destroy Shane at the PPV, further creating the aura of an unbeatable, un-damage-able monster. I mean, he'd have come back from being engulfed in flames without a single bit of damage, unless they're going to try to create some burns again. Of course, where does he go from there? Feuding with Goldberg? Beating Hurricand and Rosey in handicap matches? Helping Coach in his feud against JR and the King? They're booked into a corner.

Pedro Martinez is GONE after 2004

Recognizing talent but choosing to trade it a year before it leaves for nothing does not an idiot make. If Pedro reiterates that he won't resign but the team does nothing with him would be idiotic. And it's not the owners or management that is talking about trading him, it's us fans that are sick of him pissing and moaning all the fucking time. Fans say "trade him or he'll fuck up the chemistry", owners don't. (favorite Pedro whine: that the fact that Americans were only pissed at that 14 year old little leaguer who lied and claimed to be 12 was because he was Dominican. If he was white, we wouldn't have cared that he was a liar or a cheater.)

Phish bassist caught with 9yo girl

'Phish' Bassist Arrested; Allegedly Found In Secluded Area With 9-Year-Old NEW YORK -- A Phish is on the hook for endangering the welfare of a minor after he allegedly tried to take pictures of a young girl inside a deserted boathouse, according to a report. Mike Gordon, 38, was arrested after being found late at night in a secluded area with a 9-year-old girl. The girl's parents raised an alarm when she disappeared from a backstage area at Jones Beach Theater, WNBC-TV reported. But following private conversations between the band's manager and the child's parents, there's a question about whether the band's bassist will avoid facing that charge. New York State Park Police say Gordon showed a different side after a concert last week by The Dead. Investigators say Gordon -- who calls himself "Cactus" -- was an invited guest backstage at Jones Beach. He was not invited, they say, to take a 9-year-old girl to an isolated location behind the theater. "The area is actually like a work area for state employees who operate boats out of that area," said Maj. Richard O'Donnell, of the New York State Park Police. "It's a darkened area, not intended for public access." O'Donnell, who is the region's commanding officer, would not discuss what the bass player told officers when he was found with the child on a dock. But a police report obtained by WNBC-TV reveals "The defendant stated he wanted to take 'art photos' of the victim." Police confirm that Gordon has never been convicted of any crime. Law enforcement sources said that after the band member was arrested, he told officers, "I may have shown bad judgment, but I am not a pedophile." The Law enforcement sources identify the girl's father as a leader of the Hell's Angels Motorcycle Club, whom they say had also been invited backstage to watch The Dead concert. Gordon was held for police by theater security "and the victim's father's associates -- which the police report decribes as other Hell's Angels members. When responding to a request for an interview, Phish's manager e-mailed a joint statement from Gordon and the child's parents that reads: "It is now clear to all involved that this was an unfortunate misunderstanding, and we look forward to putting this matter behind us." Later, in a conference call, the manager said Gordon's trying to "make amends" with the family. The girl's father added that "muckraking journalists should put the story to rest." Both declined to discuss whether the musician is paying compensation. When asked by WNBC-TV if there was any reasonable explanation for Gordon to have been with the girl at 1:00 AM in a secluded boat house, Maj. O'Donnell of the State Park Police said "I have no explanation for it." The commander says he "absolutely" stands by the police investigation and has referred the bass player's boathouse rendezvous case to the Nassau County district attorney for prosecution. The DA's office says the evidence is being evaluated. Regardless of whether Gordon has to face a judge next month, law-enforcement sources say unofficial justice was already delivered. The Hell's Angels, who detained Gordon for police, were not, the sources say, gentle with sensitive areas of the rock star's body. There's another article on MTV.com that's less inflammatory, but points out that Gordon was intimidated and punched by the dad's biker buddies. Regardless of his intentions, it wasn't the brightest move in the world.

    John Mayer and Counting Crows

Regardless of the band that's playing there, I have a question about the "new" Tweeter Center ... what do you all think of the seats that they put over the lawn? It's surreal to see how it looks out there now, compared to how it looked when I first started to going to Great Woods (early '90s). With the new additions, it's fucking IMPOSSIBLE to sneak in now.

Pedro Martinez is GONE after 2004

I'd love it if he went to NY ... if he thought that Boston fans/media were harsh on him, good luck in NYC. He'd be crying like the little bitch that he is the first time that he got booed, or went on another one if his injury related cold-streaks. Fuck Pedro. Trade him this off-season, Sox, and get something in return for him.

    Texas Chainsaw Massacre

I read somewhere - on this board, I think - that it's not a remake but it's kind of like TCM 1.5 ... as in it would have taken place after the end of the first one but before the first remake, if thought of chronologically. I think it's supposed to be taking place the day after the girl gets away at the end of the original.

    Yes! Dropkick Murphy's again!

Living in Boston, you almost HAVE to be a fan of Dropkick. Their yearly shows on St Patty's Day are a BALL and have to be experienced at least once. Also, if you're a fan of them, I'd recommend checking out Floggin Molly as well. Less hardcore and more Irish-y, but still a great band

Were you to take a drug test right now...

I said no, but it's actually a maybe ... I haven't smoked much lately but it's due to my "friend" being at the Cape for the summer more than any real desire to maintain sobriety. I smoked at a friends house a few weeks ago, but don't remember how long ago it was.

    Newlyweds..

I watched a few minutes, basically just to leer at how incredibly hot she is. I have to admit that I laughed. At least they didn't seem like they were blatantly putting on an act for the TV cameras. The little bit that I watch the other "reality-celebrity" shows (Osbournes, Busey, Anna Nicole) they all seem to be putting on an act.

X-Games and Little League World Series

I was at Players in Salem NH last night during the game. More people were watching the Saugus-Texas little league game than they were the Red Sox-A's game. And in New England, normally NOTHING gets more of a pop than the Red Sox. It was "school girl night" at the bar, so I was watching the bartenders more than EITHER game personally.

    ESPN Classic

I watch the hockey games, but that's really it. Most of the college games are either too old for my liking (nothing wrong with the 70s, but I don't really care enough about USC-Oklahoma from 1974 or whatever to watch all the way through). My only pet peeve is when they give the final score away in the 'info' thing on digital cable. Nothing takes away the fun of a game that I haven't seen in a long time more than them blatantly saying 'Red Wings beat the Avalance 3-2 in Overtime'.

Phish bassist caught with 9yo girl

Actually, I think Mike looks a lot like someone that would be in a cheesy, 70's educational film about molesters. He just has that social-outcast type of vibe.

    I am so confused

Having 7 matches that are long enough to tell a story is better than having 8 matches that are shorter. Especially if the biggest arguement for the 8th match is just to "make sure there's the same # of matches from both brands".
  18. Most underrated movie of the '90's: American Me. It's a gangster epic that's centered around Latinos rather than Italians or African Americans (both of which are overrused in these types of movies, both are like a cliche now). Edward James Olmos is awesome in it, the writing is great, the plot covers an entire lifetime without seeming rushed or anything. Easily the most underrated movie of the 90s.

    Farewells, goodbyes, etc.......

What the hell is the matter with you? Haven't you written out a will and made sure that a close friend or loved one comes on here immediately and posts with your username informing everyone of your death? You've opened my eyes ... the multiple goodbye threads might be insufficient. So, I've just made plans with Jeebus to allow me a 5-minute window to log onto a PC in Heaven (hopefully - if not, here's hoping hell has a highspeed connection) and say goodbye to everyone here at TSM. Thus, my goodbye post will be sent from beyond the grave.

Phish bassist caught with 9yo girl

Nothing illegal with taking clothed pictures of kids, but tresspassing into a private, secluded area at 1:00 in the morning with a child, and not notifying said child's parents of your intentions, could be considered illegal. (tresspassing, kidnapping, endangerment) And the more I read about this case, the more damage it appears that the Angels got to inflict on Gordon. The Rolling Stone blurb mentioned that they were aiming their attacks on the most sensitive part of his anatomy.

    Farewells, goodbyes, etc.......

I'm going to start posting long-ass threads saying goodbye to everyone each time I log off the board. It's normally a few times a day, depending on what meetings I have that day. So, it should be at least 1, and sometimes as many as 4 or 5, goodbye threads a day. You never know: if I get hit by a bus on my way to lunch, I might never post here again. And you can't be too careful, eh?

    Mark Henry Backs The Mack

I read somewhere that he lost mad weight ... maybe he'll be less of a worthless sac of crap now that he's thinner. Regardless, Henry at any weight is less annoying to me than Rikishi. I'd gladly welcome Mark Henry back if it meant never, ever having to see Rikishi again.

    Encores

Even though Radiohead is rather hated on this board, I have to say that they did a great job of encoring (unsure if that's even a word) ... 2 different times they left the stage only to come back to play another 2 songs each time. All told, the encore was about 20-30 minutes long. And I have to disagree with the covering of the Ramones songs as a good encore ... I saw when Rollins and Morris played the Black Flag songs to raise money for the West Memphis Three, and was super-pissed that they only encored with the Ramones songs. I paid money to see Black Flag songs, not the Ramones. If anything, they should have encored with Rollins Band and Circle Jerks songs. As someone that hated the Ramones, I was pretty pissed. (of course, you only stated your opinion and I have to give you that, you didn't say it like a fact ... I just have to give my opinion of disagreeing)

    Encores

I went to go see Billy Joel a few years ago, back when I was a full-on hippy, and was so amazed that people were talking about how everyone chants "Piano Man" before the encore because that's what he was going to be playing as the encore song. It was amazing that after seeing so many Phish shows, which have spontaneity and are unpredictable in terms of what will be played and when, that people would be stoked to know exactly what the encore was going to be. Kind of takes the fun out of it, in my eyes at least.
