I'll bet 500 this match sucks.
-
It was actually @ Over the Edge 1998, and they were chanting "VINCE IS GAY."
-
Now I'd also like the reason to Rock saying no.
-
He should still use the helicopter opening...it was so bad ass. And what the hell was up with Rock's new random bold, white text t-shirt? Does he like get a new one everytime he comes back one time? Ah well. Discuss.
-
Well, someone wants to be Vice Pres in 2004 & Prez. in 2008. Good thinkin, Al. He must have his hopes up on Dean...it's kinda early already endorsing him.
-
Here's my look at it. *Friend (who watches wrestling calls up his friend who is sort of into it)* Friend 1: Dude, Rock is on! *Friend 2 turns on TV* Friend 2: Cool. They need Rock bad.

Rock Interview: he will be in WWE from January
iliketurtles replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
But that doesn't explain why Booker/Rock became buddy-buddy. No explanation was ever given for them having mutual respect with each other...so why can't the same be done for Eddie/Rock? For someone who is proclaiming the usage of logic, you certainly aren't using it. And once again, it's to establish to the viewers that Rock is still allowed to be around on both shows. And Rock can beat whoever he wants up. That's what the logic is. -
I still loved my scenario about how Benoit took Angle out in his home town of Pittsburgh (on the Smackdown where they did the double switch with Eric vs. Brock) and caused his neck problems, have Benoit confess saying he took out Edge, and that (because Angle might not have been able to compete at Wrestlemania) he's going after Brock to not only take his title, but to break his neck (making someone feel the same wrath he did with his broken neck.) Of course, Kurt decided to keep going and that ended that. Sooo....10 months later we are at this scenario. I'm not sure what Edge really could do...I guess you could still use the whole "Benoit is bitter from his neck being broken he wants someone else to pay the same piper he did" scenario I had going above...but I dunno. Big Show, maybe? LoL.

Kind of simple...take a listen to the No Way Out 2003 version he used, and then listen to the Mania. All they do is cut off the first 15 seconds or so of his No Way Out version (for TV time constriants I guess)...and just use his theme like regular from there. They cut it down even more for his TV apperances. The No Way Out version also had, as you said, the longer quote with the LOOKATTHETONGUE thing, and I think he also laughs during it too. They took that out because, well, yeah. "...is cookin'" sounds better, and it flows better with the song. He only used that longer quote once, and then started using "...is cookin'." the night after on Raw. Hope that explains it.

This was WM. IT was the Full FULL entrance, just like No Way Out but without the quip after the music starts, and I think it works better that way anyhow. No Way Out 2003 Version was 54 seconds or something like that. Mania/Backlash were about 30 seconds. His regular TV apperances on Raw was about 10 seconds. Trust me on this...I have all 3 DVDs.

Rock Interview: he will be in WWE from January

Definately agreed, and they need to do it if they want to do a Rock/Cena feud. They'll find someway to turn Rock, I'm sure. -
Rock Interview: he will be in WWE from January

...Rock would help Eddie....why? -He's a big babyface -Puts the Bashams (Or TWGTT, either or) over as more credible by doing a segment with Rock -Because Chavo left, Eddie can't defend himself -Establishes Rock can go to both brands Why did Rock & Booker T become buddy-buddy when Rock helped him fight off Jericho & Christian? No explanation...other than they both were playing babyface. So the same goes for here. Rock helping out midcard guys will do ALOT more for the company then Rock going to Smackdown tonight and beating up Vince for the 502098th time that helps no one out. -
I guess you guys are right because it obviously worked. I guess I kind of invisioned him more or less coming back at the Rumble. I can picture the fans counting down from 10 to 1, then the helicopter/overview of LA starts to play with the music in the background and the fans going nuts. Ah well.
-
I don't see why they would expect poor ticket sales because 1. It's in Philly & 2. It's the Rumble.
-
Yes...I was able to see the helicopter entrance @ Backlash (not the full, FULL No Way Out version)...it's a thing of magnificance.
-
Very true...I see where you are coming from. But considering I got that "holy shit out of nowhere" shock value when he did the same thing last June 2002 with Vince when Austin walked out, I guess it kinda just makes this one look not as good as it could of been.

Rock Interview: he will be in WWE from January
iliketurtles replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
I'd LOVE to see Rock on Smackdown tonight and put some other guys over who need it...hell, have the same scenario. Popular babyface is in trouble, Rock comes out and helps him out. *thinks* Eddie is getting beaten down, but Chavo has left the building eariler in the night after being frustrated so Eddie is left alone...maybe to the Bashams? Rock comes down and opens up a can of whoop ass. Just saying...that's what I'd do. And if they want to do Cena/Rock, it also reminds the fan that Rock is indeed on both brands. -
I still think that despite what you are saying he would of gotten a massive pop anyways. The helicopter shot would of come on and the fans would of gone nuts at the scene. Then it would of built up and built up for the next few seconds, then "IS COOKIN'" and BOOM. At least that's how I look at it. It would of been much more markout for me if that opening part of his entrance had randomly come on and taken up the TV screen as well, cutting away from Foley/La Resitance.

I have a question. How can the heels get heel heat? Anything they say...well, someone will be offended by it. Just think about it.

Early Buyrate For WWE Survivor Series
iliketurtles replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
The thing is...even though the buyrate is going to be down for Mania this year, they'll bring in so much more money with it being 50 bucks. -
The kid has A PREMIUM ACCOUNT OPTION. Seriously...just because his last name is Hart DOESN'T MAKE YOU GOD.

Early Buyrate For WWE Survivor Series
iliketurtles replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
That number is bullshit, IMO. They have underestimated all the buyrates this year. I bet they get around 550,000 - 575,000...that will be the number floating around in a few months. -
Armageddon looks horrible.
