That brings up the question...why didn't Benoit do the Crossface in his first few months with the WWF? I never understood that one.
-
I'd...probably take a few days to let it settle in.
-
MUST. WATCH. BENOIT VS. LESNAR. Finally it happens.
-
Cactus Jack & Maxx Payne vs. Nastys @ Slamboree 1994...literally 10 minutes of fucking insane, brutal brawling...the crowd is obviously totally into it as well.

I'd think about trading Sheff if he starts to struggle...Bernie still has years left in him and is always a quality player. Gary, while still putting up great numbers, is getting up their in age and I think they could get more for their buck from a team that's desperate for an outfielder and get some top notch prospects. Their outfield is already stacked as it is...they should try trading Jeter and someone else they don't need for ARod and the best prospects Texas has to offer. Problem they would have then is the salary cap which would be fucked up the asshole.
-
This is true, but it's the YANKEES we are talking about. With the command of good ol' George, he'll find a way to get the best fucking prospects in baseball and still keep his team the way he wants too. As much as I hate the guy, he gets things done and he wins championships. Now...do you really think it's smart for them to give up ANOTHER starting pitcher? I mean, Roger is gone...and now Pettite? Sign Pettite for one year...if he does miserable, then he's gone. If he breaks out, then that's exactly what they need. I can't believe I'm trying to give advice to the Yankees. *shrugs*
-
I don't see why the Yanks should start rebuilding right yet...they aren't at Tampa Bay level, they are still one of the top contenders in the MLB...Andy P > Prospects.
-
Well, considering that's pretty much what his job is (to be the bump bitch) you can't really say this is a surprise...sadly.

Moondog Spot, real name Larry Booker, collapsed in the ring during tonight's event at the Mid South Coliseum in Memphis and was taken from the building by ambulance and transported to Methodist Central Hospital. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful and he passed away shortly after suffering the collapse. His family was with him at the show and accompanied him to the hospital. Spot had been a legendary figure in the Tennessee area for years and had also wrestled as Larry Latham. The entire staff of 1Wrestling.com sends condolences to the family of Moondog Spot. Damn.

NOBODY remembers this match it seems...Rock vs. Hurricane, No DQ on Raw back in March of this year. I watched it the other day and it actually was really enjoyable and I still got into it near the end (after the chokeslam). No classic, but people don't even mention it anymore. Edit: And to those who are saying Steiner/HHH was underrated...HA HA HA. Please. We are talking about good matches that doesn't get as much love as they should...not matches that should get more love because they are total disasters.

Jorge De La Rosa...didn't he come over in the Boston deal? Damn...he got traded to Arizona for one week and didn't play one game.

Definately picking up Vengeance 2002, Rebellion 2002, & Summerslam 2002. I wonder why they are so cheap.
-
WCW's usage of Bret is what really started the downfall from the company...they took the WWF's hottest star and literally made no use of him within weeks of his debut in the company. I'd say that was key...as well as the disaster of Hogan/Sting @ Starrcade 97. Both of those happening at the near same time is what started to kill it.
-
Yeah...I thought it was gunna be either a Hennig tribute or an IC title tribute. It caught me off guard when they said they were doing the whole show to 1996.
-
The whole hour dedicated to 1996? Interesting concept...definately wanna catch that episode.
-
Snuka's splash looks like it would hurt to take.

LOL...I remember jokingly saying in the Raw thread that night if JR did the stunner, I'd die...hard to believe THAT was two months ago.
-
It's weird as hell watching this thinking this was 11 months ago...time just fucking flew by in 2003.

Bad Blood is the most boringest PPV I've ever watched. I taped it and never watched it again...I've never done that with a WWE PPV.

It's funny seeing those guys at ringside just sitting there, with their mouths not moving, as the commentary is going on.
-
That SD fuck up at the end of the show...

Problem is...are they gunna sign the Phillies manager guy? I mean...it sounds like Schilling wants him just because he favors Schilling and lets' him do what he wants to do (I.E. Little w/ Pedro). But, then it makes you think...would he really accept the deal without them signing him already?
-
I don't blame him...after them blowing it to the Yankees, I wouldn't blame for people to give up on the Bo Sox. But with the firing of Little & the signing of Schilling, my faith is back in them. Just keep everyone health and let's go do this...RIGHT.
