Shawn turned heel? Yikes.

Give me reasons to hate Shawn Michaels.
iliketurtles replied to The Mandarin's topic in General Wrestling
When Michaels came back for the Street Fight against Triple H at Summerslam 2002, I became a fan of him. From late 97 up until that point, I fucking hated Shawn Michaels. He was a piece of shit. He screwed my favorite wrestler. I couldn't stand him. But then he came back and changed his ways and I respected him more and became a fan of him. He's such a great performer though him as a person is definately difficult to judge since we really don't know what he's like anymore, but based on most people, he really has changed for the better. I think Michaels is going to be like Flair and never leave wrestling until he's in his late, late 60s-early 70s. I don't see him retiring, even though there should come a point where he does. I guess because after his match with Austin at Mania 14, I assumed he'd never wrestle again. And the fact he did, and not only came back and amazed me, but did it on a regular basis, just was unbelivable. At times I wonder about the back injury and how severe it really was. -
Ditto with Sky Boxes for big wrestling events. They are usually reserved for WWE people, most of the time.

All-Time: Bret Hart, Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, Steve Austin, Triple H. Honorable mention: The Rock.

Wasn't Jindrak originally penciled in for being in Evolution? I remember hearing that they did some filming for the Evolution titantron with him, but only used the Orton/HHH/Flair stuff instead. I can easily see Jindrak/Masters joining.

Brian Gewirtz leaves WWE writing team
iliketurtles replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
This was posted a few weeks ago, but glad it went through. You know, he's actually leaving the wrestling side so he can go make some shitty scripts for Austin to try to save in the movies, so at least it's not on RAW anymore. -
One and Only "ECW: One Night Stand" Thread

I like the idea of Grenier becoming JBL's personal ref for his matches.

Yeah, Smackdown is still in deep shit anyways come the fall.

800,000 my ass. I hope it's now confirmed to everyone you can't take estimates within 24 hours seriously. Well, it was a good reunion show. I think it would be intresting to see them do a couple more shows down the line, maybe even a ECW tour of sorts, but definately since it didn't hit at least 500,000, I doubt ECW will take over at all anytime of brand (specifically SD) in the future.
-
It made things fresh again. That's what this company desperately needed. While I was in favor of moving Michaels and Jericho to SD, I can live with what they did. The week by week thing was a good idea to try out and spread the wealth instead of just blowing their load on one show and popping a big rating just for a draft. They got semi-good ratings for the month of June instead. The trade wasn't going to be anything blockbuster anyways, so that's really no surprise to me. My main beef with the draft was it was totally unrealastic. For the most part, all the picks where either big names, great wrestlers, or soon-to-be stars. You can obviously tell there was nothing random about it, even as a mark. I think what's going to be more intresting is the cuts they are talking about. Especially since Heat and Velocity got cancelled.
-
Alright, well I'm not totally turned off. SD looks pretty good now.

JBL is overrated. It just shows you that the WWE can put whoever they want in a push to the moon long enough that even "smarks" will back the guy that everyone once couldn't stand. I think his character is loads better than anything he's ever done and stuff, but I think people think he's all great now.

September is when you become okay with three world titles? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I need a break from it anyways. Once class starts back up I'll be more into it (maybe?). I'm not going to watch that much as it is over the summer, but if they have three world titles, I'm totally turned off. I'll still read up on it and stuff, I'm just not going to go out of my way to watch Raw. And I don't watch SD anyways.
-
If Batista isn't the last pick, I'm not watching either show for the rest of the summer. Honestly. No way I'm watching a company that has Three World Fucking Titles.
-
I think the explanation for Artz just randomly taking off was to distract the monster. Basically, a way to make the viewer realize it's still out their in the Dark Territory.
-
Alright, enjoy the show guys.
-
Are you serious? That match was easily MOTY, though it's not saying much, but still.
-
The only benefical thing about tonight's Kane/Edge match is if Matt shows up. And I doubt that will happen.
-
That stage looks so awesome.

I'm going to get it with a few buddies. Whatever. It's got some potential but I know for a fact is going to be the most unmemorable PPV of the year.

If Lesnar comes out of the crowd, gives JBL and F5 to start up a promo, I don't give a fuck what he's done. He's going to get a massive babyface reaction.
-
I think if he comes back the first feud they will immediately put him in is as a face against JBL. And like, kill Bradshaw. Batista, HHH, Benoit...all Lesnar feuds I could see happening that I'd definately like. If they have him come back and job to Taker in 5 minutes or lose to Matt Morgan, then it will be totally useless. It's going to make him look even more weak then he does to most wrestling fans right now. I like the idea of giving him a couple dark matches like before Smackdown shows or something. See what's he got left in the tank. I'd also maybe even consider like taking 2-3 house shows in a week for Smackdown, promote Lesnar's return on a local level just for the house show. It really doesn't matter who he wrestles, either. They'll be able to determine if he's over, if he's still a draw (if attendance is up than normal because of the promotion), see what he's like in the ring...and basically see if he's worth for the trouble he's basically caused by leaving. The two main things they'll go aruge about for his new contract is number of house shows he works and the numbers after the dollar sign. That's if he's offered a new contract, and I'm assuming it will happen before the year is over.
