  1. Well, this year has come and gone and we've certainly been left with a lot to think about. I personally believe 2004 started off awesome and had some of the best TV in a long time. Up until Wrestlemania 20, everything was really solid. I personally believe that the WWE stopped giving a crap once Wrestlemania 20, and everything honestly after that this year was totally unmemorable with no consistency throughout the year. I think it was quite evident when the "Best of Raw: 2004" featured stuff mostly from Jan - March 2004. It just seems like everything after Bad Blood is blurry in my mind. I even went to a Raw in Manchester in July and I can't even remember a majority of what happened because it was just blah. Anyways, enough of that...point I'm trying to make...what do you guys believe was the one major thing the WWE had going for them that they totally ended up botching this year? I've been debating back and forth...but I'd have to say the overexposure of Eugene is one of them. When the character first debuted, everyone was into it and it was a great midcard personality. WWE, realizing they are desperate for pretty much anything that would grab the audience's intrest, pushed Eugene (the character..Dinsmore was ready for a push, however) and mostly took up a feud with Evolution (specifically Triple H) throughout the summer of 2004 and anticlimaticly ended with Triple H prevailing. I believe if WWE had patience, this could of gone a lot further but so be it. The second angle was the Kane attacking Shawn Michaels angle...and putting him out of comission for the entire summer. ONLY, to have HBK come back and wrestle Kane in a match that no one cares about and no one talks about at all. This storyline was really huge at first and everyone was talking about it. It had a lot of potential to boost some intrest on Raw, but nothing was done about it. The horrid Kane/Lita storyline was somehow more intresting than this, and thus took the attention away from it. I don't recall Kane ever cutting a promo about attacking Shawn other than the week after, either. It was just instantly dropped, and added in as a filler match for Unforgiven when they had nothing else to do with Kane, and Michaels was ready to come back. It's really dissapointing how the WWE can do something really well, and then just fuck it up instantly. So let's here what you guys have to say. By the way, you can talk about Smackdown stuff but because a good portion of wrestling fans don't even watch that show (including myself), I can't really blame you for not talking about it if you decide not too.

    And So it Begins

Varitek got rid of the goatee! But that's awesome with the C on his jersey. And as far as him getting overpaid...nah. I think sometimes it's more important to have a solid player...who can be the team leader...as opposed to an all-star who gives a shit about nothing. Great pic.

Rock and HHH to compete for same role

Honestly...Triple H would be better for this role.

What did WWE do RIGHT this year?

I loved the Trish/Jericho love angle. Christian geting the girl in the end was a typical wrestling feel to it, though it's realistic. The segments the two had came off very realistic. I thought the Evolution turn on Orton itself was solid, but the payoff was horrible. I LOVED the Foley/Rock/Evolution stuff going up to Wrestlemania...when Rock came back to help out Foley in Atlanta on Raw...great stuff.

Worst match of the year 2004....

HBK/HHH would of been better with about 15 minutes of stalling cut out of it. Brock vs. Goldberg was the most dissapointing match of the year. I really can't pick the worst because a lot has sucked. However, I've yet to see Richards/Tomko and everyone talks about that one.

    And So it Begins

thank god Sucks Roberts is gone, but Varitek back makes me happy.
  7. ..yes. ...yeah. And a gun fetish.
  8. That...would kick ass. And he should grow his hair back out. If he can without it looking retarded.
  9. Rey has a gone fetish. Interesting. Anyone find it weird that the entire promotion for this tour they used "One", and then they decide to do the review package with "Higher"? Riight. Ah well. Good show. ...and Angle with a goatee would be awesome.
  10. The Best of SD in 2004? Ahhahahahhaha.
  11. Are you fucking serious? That's hilarious. Seriously...creative needs to seriously discuss that gimmick.
  12. The music sounds like it's in mono.
  13. LMAO @ Rey. He needs to keep the gimmick of having guns with him.
  14. LOL...this is awesome, I will admit.
  15. Token French guy...check. Token Japanese guy...check. Token Nazi...che...wait, Heidenrich...check.
  16. And Los Boricuas...and the Outlaws.
  17. I was thinking that JBL goosesteps his way to the ring...but I dunno.
  18. So al-Zarqawi shows up to challenge Angle and is gunned down in a half-second. That would be horrible. "So what pussies from Tikrit want to come challenge an Olympic Gold Medalist?" *Warfare breaks loose*
  19. If there is one, expect anywhere between 1 and 10 guys running in to cost Taker the match. That's the finish they ALWAYS use in Casket Matches at the Royal Rumble. I honestly can't think of one casket match that hasn't had a run-in.
  20. Wow, that was an awesome finish. *sarcasm*
  21. I hope when Angle comes out he says "I would of done my hometown challenge here this afternoon, but since you guys already beat me to kicking his ass last year, I'll make an acception."
  22. Yeah, but it was dark out way before Taker even came out.
