I have to say, whilst I'm the only person that thinks there is a strong case for it being Waits' best, you underrated pretty much everything on Alice. I think had it come out when it was recorded in 1992 it would have been hailed as one of his best, actually. It's so complete. Watch her disappear and Reeperbahn in particular are sheer greatness. Bone Machine is overlong. Alice isn't, and it's more varied as well.
