I'll always want him to do well. I'll look into that match.
-
Yeah, I know. not that their Danzig stuff wasn't 'better', but I always preferred the more comic side to The Misfits, if that makes sense.
-
You know, I really quite like Famous Monsters. I'm not a Misfits superfan though, and doubtless that contributes.
-
I find most of XTC's Oranges and Lemons absolutely repulsive, 'Hold Me My Daddy' in particular. I wish that album didn't exist. Many like 'Chalkhills and Children' but not I.
-
Potatoes are like the best thing ever, btw. I think they did a survey. Thinking about it, I agree.
-
The Fall - Theme From Sparta FC 'English Chelsea fan, this is your last game...' Whoever made this the theme for Final Score is a genius.
-
'We like hard rock...Hallelujah! That's the essence of a natural high!' Congrats to them, but Lithuania were incredible as well.
-
Christ, I didn't even know they still existed.
-
Code Red was the first album I ever owned, so I'll go with the title track.
-
In other news, Bullen's staying after all. Although he can only get worse and I would like him to have finished on a high, if you take him out of the equation then we need to sign 5 different utility players, (one of them a keeper ) and name them on the bench every week. He would leave a hole.

Hello all. I might stick a tenner on Wednesday as a playoffs dark horse for next season if we can keep Carson, which we almost certainly cannot. Still reassuring how much we improved towards the end though, we definitely shouldn't struggle again. I'll say 10th.

I won't shed a tear if the tin pan alley fuck loses the lot how's that

I may as well try, then. No order, I don't think. 1. The Wedding Present - Dare 2. Wire - Ex Lion Tamer 3. Morrissey - Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself 4. Pulp - Do You Remember The First Time? 5. Replacements - Androgynous 6. Stooges - Gimme Danger 7. The The - This Is The Day 8. Sparks - Happy Hunting Ground 9. Journey - Don't Stop Believin' 10. Butthole Surfers - Day of the Dying Alive (early version of 'Jimi').
-
They've not wowed me yet, but I don't hate them either.
-
I'll point out in this thread I think I'm the only person I know who prefers 'Dare' to 'Dalliance' (not that there's anything at all wrong with the latter) and think it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard in my life, definitely top five, and like, what's up with that.
-
I can imagine. Senses Working Overtime will always be a fringe song for me, could never *quite* put it in such high regard.
-
Pitchfork aside, it's Pink Flag, yeah.
-
I'm actually pretty confident of hovering around 8th or 9th next season, with a fit squad we're actually quite good. I also should mention I may have watched Lee Bullen's last game for us (though I said that last season) and what a legend. Gave his all.

I'd like to apologise on behalf of Britain for Cyber Mark

I feel I should take part in this thread. -
Sturrock's away in a mystery country, scouting. Goodness! Went to Derby for the last game of the season, fun had by some.
-
The complete collection of Fall Peel Sessions Afghan Whigs - Congregation Residents - The Mark of the Mole Electrelane - Rock It To The Moon
-
One of the greats, but either way you'll know if you like them or not straight away. I recommend Grotesque... and This Nation's Saving Grace but the newest, last year's Fall Heads Roll is frigging superb, and probably as good a starting point. Download the Jools Holland performance of 'Blindness' if you can.
-
I need to see The Fall at some stage, might as well be Leeds I guess.
-
I suppose that yeah, context n all is the main thing, but I love shite organ lines and the twatting of banjos. Seriously.
-
Yeah, but you have to remember he is (or was) absolutely huge over here, probably the biggest selling artist for a fair while. He actually makes sure his contracts allow him to get a ridiculous payout if his stuff fails in the US, I think. God knows how that works, but I think he's bagged about £80m without selling anything.
