What he said. Why do they even bother?
-
Same here. And even if this never comes out, I can still go back and buy the two trilogies from somewhere in the universe. Thank god I don't ever buy anything as soon as it comes out.

Holy shit. I just saw the video, and boy howdy does this guy suck! Everything he did was so unbelieveable, and not in the good way. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I hope UT squashes this guy into oblivion and pronto. Judo CHOP~!

Black Lesnar over Booker in the Finals. At first, I thought they'd use Angle to make Lashley look really good, but I think Booker can do an adequate job of it (if what HTQ said is true).

Is it worth my money to order the replay at 11?
notJames replied to The Tino Standard's topic in The WWE Folder
Jericho. Oh TAG~! -
Agreed on every point, especially about the RAW main event. I spent more time talking to my friends than actually watching the match. You didn't mention the HBK/Vince match, so maybe that's an indication that you were as bored with it as I was. That thing just dragged and dragged and dragged. Okay, we get it, Shawn. You can still jump off a ladder. Great. When are you going to retire? Ending with the SD! main may have been a better move, but that probably would have given away the winner. Still, what a bizarro night.

It felt like we were watching Rocky with all the nicknames. My friends and I all busted out with "The Master of Disaster, the King of Sting, the Count of Monte Fisto…". And yes, the entrances went beyond ludicrous speed. HHH must have really wanted the new Conan role. Ugh.

If you like bizarro shows that are all over the place and prove that Vince doesn't know his audience, get the replay. And HHH was the undisputed King of Recoculous in that get-up. What a douche. I bet it's one of the little oufits that Stephanie dresses him up in during their role-playing adventures. (I wonder what their safety word is… ) -
Bret Hart confirms he will not be at WrestleMania
notJames replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
From what I can remember, either HBK not showing up was a stipulation on Bret's part before he agreed to participate in the HOF, or HBK himself offered not to show up so that Bret would participate. What would make it even better would be HHH not showing up, as a show of solidarity to HBK. Add Stuffy McHams to that and even I'll watch the web broadcast. -
Just got the Singles Collection, and I'm definitely interested in getting more of his albums. Side note: Nick Lowe put out an album called "Bowi" because he jokingly said that Bowie's "Low" was his name without the "e", so he followed suit.

I haven't read it, but it seems like a big favorite among uninteresting people. You know, an easy way for them to say "hey, I read books!" I agree completely. Whenever someone says "Did you read the Da Vinci Code?", I expect them to follow it up with something like "Wasn't it awful what happened to that girl on American Idol?" There's your Truth Squad right there. I can't believe I wasted that whole weekend reading that crap book. Right up there with The Celestine Prophecies and Dianetics.

Sure, because half-assed lesbian melodrama is why we all watch wrestling. Next.

Who Gets The Final Money In The Bank Spot?
notJames replied to Detective Comics's topic in The WWE Folder
Due to process of elimination*, I have no doubt that Black Lesnar will get the last spot, even though Finlay bested him in the Lumberjack match. I have a feeling they had him beat up all those lumberjacks as a precursor to his performance in this week's Battle Royal. Besides, who else is up the ladder enough on SD! to warrant the spot that isn't already in a WM match? *(and yes, that's a veiled reference to the Battle Royal) -

I don't hate Cena as much as I have no overt feelings for him in his current state. If he'd drop the baby-kissing, glad-handing überface role and go back to the cocky, no-allegiances tweener, I'd probably like him a little more. My HHHate goes without saying, so this was an easy poll to answer.

Suncoast/Sam Goody going out of business!
notJames replied to Anakin Flair's topic in Television & Film
$30 is a good price, and waiting for 50% off (which may not happen before others snap them up) is only saving another $5. I guess I should clarify -- is the game worth buying at all? I loved HCTP (still play it to this day), and never bought the first SDvR game. I've been reading through the SDvR thread in the Video Games forum, but I'm not 100% sold on it. I like making and playing with CAWs, and the GM mode sound intriguing, but from what I've been reading, some of the gameplay isn't so desireable. Should I pull the trigger? If I do, I'll probably do it this weekend. -

I was considering buying SD! v RAW 2006 for $30 (40% off). Is it worth it, should I wait for it to go to 50%, or should I pass it up? -
Official Smackdown Spoilers for the 2/24 Airing
notJames replied to BorneAgain's topic in The WWE Folder
This is that C4 finisher he did in all those videos, right (backflip uranage)? Do you think they'll let him use that as his finisher? Hell, I'd settle for the SSSP. He's used it a lot of times on Velocity. It doesn't look as pimp as it does in those videos, because Birchall doesn't look as big in WWE, but it fits well as a WWE finisher. Damn. I've gotta find a way to play Velocity on my Mac. What's the crowd reaction been like for it? -

I'll probably just get the Bloodsport DVDs and the Pillman one (if and only if it has the Canadian Stampede match on it.) Everything else doesn't interest me in the slightest.

I agree with all the mixed feelings surrounding this new development. If it's all legit and Bret gets to say a proper farewell, then I'm truly happy for him. Here's hoping that he gets a written guarantee that nothing storyline-driven happens during his induction. Neidhart should get the nod, definitely. If not, Austin should, if he and Vince are still on speaking terms. Watch it end up being Earl Hebner…

Yes. This song was a staple during my early '90s industrial/goth club-going days, along with Peter Murphy's "Cuts You Up" and Front 242's "Headhunter". I tend to like the stuff off of their Floodland album more, like "Lucretia" and "This Corrosion". More danceable. But that's just me.

Ditto. I wonder how many monkeys chained to typewriters it took to write that drivel.

This is why I loathe wCw and all of its unemployed ilk.

Someone pass Matt an emo shirt and a Taking Back Sunday CD. Jeez, what little sympathy and support I ever had for him just did a leg drop off a 60 ft. ladder. And I'm sure all those "what if's" about TNA will be answered sooner rather than later. See you on Slammin' Saturday Nights, Matt.
