  1. I thought it was an amazing PPV, and yes, it really reminded me of an old ECW show, some stuff that wasn't as good as others, but all in all it was a stellar show. The Tanaka/Awesome match was amazing. I thought that Beniot/Gurerro wasn't bad, but it could have been longer, and parts were just dead. The international 3-way could have gone a little longer, but it was still awesome. Other than that everything else was amazing, and they didn't do *too* much WWE stuff.

I hope the buyrate for this show goes through the roof.

  2. Personally I thought it was a good show...and I also didn't think the crowd was dead at all.

Eddy/Rey - There might have been a couple mess ups here, but it was a good match that was given a decent amount of time and it got the crowd pumped up. ***1/2

Ladder Match - This was really cool and had some awesome innovative spots. Shelton getting his leg caught in the rope was crazy too. ****

Orton/Taker - I wish Orton went over, but this was still damned good and a lot better than I was expecting, and it was one of the better Taker matches in recent memory. ***

Women's Match - This was just horrible, like funny it was so bad. DUD

HBK/Angle - God this match was awesome. I thought that it started out slow, but it needed to start out slow, it had good build up. A great match. ****1/2

Sumo Match - I never want to see Show dressed like that again. Just a lot of boring stalling, and crap. No rating.

JBL/Cena - not much of a match really, just JBL with crappy offense and then Cena wins out of nowhere *

    Main event - decent **3/4

  3. PWInsider says that Mike Burns is back as booker. Looks like it paid off for this show.

That explains the 136 IWS guys on the show, with SMV and IWS' relationship and all.

All of the IWS guys were already booked for the show before Burns returned, and the last show without him had tons of IWS guys, so it's safe to say that Burn's "return" had nothing to do with the IWS prominence on last night's show. That philosophy was set long before Burns came back.

Um...I wouldn't be so sure about that. The card did have Eddy on it before, but then in the last week or 2 before the show all of a sudden the other IWS guys jusy got added like that, so it's safe to say that THEY came because of burns.

  4. What I thought:

    Heat:

    RVD Vs. Dupree: **

This was a good little match that should have been on first on the PPV, not on heat.

    SS:

    Six-Man Tag: ** 1/2

Pretty good match and I'm glad to see London on WWE PPV.

    Matt/Kane: **1/4

Not all that great but Matt really tried here. I wish he would have won though.

    I-C Three-Way: **3/4

A lot of people were shitting on this, and I don't see why, I mean it was short-ish but still really good IMO.

    Cena/Booker: **

Nothing really special, but nothing really bad.

    Eddie/Angle: *** 1/2

Crazy to see so many big moves done so early on, but really a super hot match, with Angle taking it easy, but still delievering.

    HHH/Eugene: ** 1/2

I wish this was better, but it was still good, despite HHH no selling almost every finisher.

    Taker/JBL: **3/4

A really good, intense brawl. The limo thing was cheesy but still cool.

    Benoit/Orton: *** 3/4

A good match, a great match, I would have rated this one higher if Beniot kicked out of the first RKO and it went a little longer. I think Beniot should have kept the title a little longer though, but at least Randy won clean and Beniot put him over. I see Randy becoming a face soon.

Overall this show was good, the RVD match should have been on the card as well, as it was decent. The crowd really ruined this show for me. Nothing against Toronto, but fuck Toronto. This show was good, but nothing really that good. Thumbs in the middle, leaning up. It would have been Thumbs up if the crowd was into it. WWE is going to have a field day editing the chants on this one.

  5. Time for Randy Orton to become World Champion, ending this horrible god damn show. Not because of the matches, they were all quite good, but for this pathetic excuse for a crowd.

exactly...crowds make good matches great because of the heat that they add to the match...this crowd is taking away from the matches. fuck this crowd. the shows been good.

  6. This crowd is starting to bore me.

Hooray, Canada knows how to boo the faces. That's wonderful....

So they should cheer guys just because the WWE tells them to? I think the T-dot fans are smart. Most people feel Edge sucks, so they boo him. Most people think the Eugene character dfoesn't belong in a main event program, so he gets booed in that spot. And as for Angle, well he should be cheered at all times. The dumb fans are the ones who go "yeaaaaaa that guy is from my hometown yeaaaa I should cheer him yeaaaa I'm special"

i would think that, but these fans are just booing all the faces, because THEY R SOOO COOOOL

    Wrong!

I live in Toronto, and I know the majority of the audience is smart to the business. They just cheer who they like, regardless of face-heel stuff. Which makes sense. Why should you cheer for a guy just because he's a "good guy"? Didn't Vince McMahon tell us in '97 those days were long gone?

Like I said, I dont think anyone can argue with booing Edge and Eugene because their characters both suck.

As for Eddie, as has been pointed out, Angle is just beloved in Toronto, so the fans aren't really against Eddie, they are just more pro Angle.

i agree with them being smart. but i really thought they were booing eddie as well.
