It was more caring rather USC won or lost. I wanted USC to lose so bad. This guy on the sports radio said that Jackson was bad last night(true!) but he also said that Jackson wanted USC to win so badly that it wasn't even funny....I didn't get that from him though.

Well college teams three peated before there was an AP National Title. But that doesn't really count I guess....unless they want to count those toward their national title total.

I think it's stupid too Hockey Fan. It proves how this society is a "what have you done for me lately?" society. I mean everyone acted as if the 55-19 route of OU last year totally destroyed their history. So Pete Carroll's team loses last night and everyone forgets about his past two years of coaching. I still wonder how many party invites Matt Leinart lost last night.... I almost puked when Texas went down 12. I was in the bathroom heaving but nothing came up.

I think the main reason I liked seeing Leinart go down was to see how many celebrities cried and then cut him off of their party lists.

There ya go people that were getting onto me. Some guy just called into the local sports radio station going on about how he was a "true OU fan" and he didn't even watch the game b/c neither outcome was desirable to him and he somehow wanted both teams to look bad. However someone else called in and said that he was in a bar in Norman and that everyone at the bar was wearing OU stuff and rooting for Texas and flashing the hook em' horns sign. A sportscaster said he was in Bricktown(downtown OKC) and said that everyone was wearing OU stuff and flashing the hook em horns sign. So it wasn't just me. OU fans really dislike USC after last season apparently. With good reason. It was damned embarassing. Now Texas winning doesn't exactly take the embrassment off of what we did last season but it helps to know that USC lost. Plus OU's got a ton of tradition. We've got two back to back national title seasons(55, 56 and 74, 75) plus the 47 game winning streak. And one theory is that OU felt that USC was threatening that tradition with the winning streak and the three peat. Then again they do have more national titles than us so part of that doesn't make sense.

OU finishes ranked! Thank god! Vegas odds for some reason have OU picked as a Top 10 team next year. Maybe a Top 15 or 20 team but Top 10? A little extreme.

Rose Bowl purist at all angry saying that Vince Young and Texas own the Rose Bowl? I mean I figured people that want Pac 10/Big Ten would be angry about them saying that about a Big XII team. The Big XII is now 3-1 in Rose Bowls though.

Hey I thought Texas was going to lose most of the entire second half. I didn't switch my position until it was completely locked up and by then it'd have been silly to think USC was going to win when there was no time on the clock.

I'll agree that everyone turning on Leinart was dumb. BUTT I still think he sounded like a punk. Ok so what happened to Pete Carroll's month to prepare to shut down Vince Young? Is he just that good?

OU apparently put some self imposed penalties on themselves for recruiting violations. It was sad they could only beat SMU 50-47. They need offense.

Doesn't surprise me much that he's pissing and moaning on TV since he used to do interviews while wearing a "FBCS" shirt... Let's just say that shit like that doesn't get forgotten in Tiger country, which is where he could have ended up playing before this little breakdown. What was that shirt?

So should Leinart be given a pass for his pissy attitude because of what was at stake or should he have been more of a sportsman?

I like how everyone's giving Leinart zero credit, despite that he had a monster game tonight. All of those guys will be great starters, but Leinart is going to be a hell of a lot better than a career backup. As much as I hate the team and it's players I agree with you. Everyone used to act like he was so great and then he loses this game and has a bad first quarter against USC and everyone thinks he sucks. Nobody gave the biggest play of the game in their mind. I still think the INT was a very good play.

So who else besides Young had a great game on the Texas team?
