Vince Young, Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart went one year when it was pretty much common knowledge that nobody but those three had a shot.

The Fiesta Bowl didn't take a mid-major last season.......unless something drastic happened with OU or West Virginia's programs that I didn't know about.

Damn I've somehow become able to cause other people to debate with each other. Hmmm.......I must use this power wisely.

I think it will happen quicker than Georgia/Hawaii. This defense is better than Georgia's and Hawaii's offense is better than Utah's. I think it'll be a smashing of epic proportions.

I do remember Jason White with his broken hand and broken foot. I also remember OU's leading rusher only having 800 yards. Fast forward to this year with a healthy 4000 yard passer QB and two 1,000 yard rushers (one with 20 tds) and I see this OU team saying "So what? We could blow the doors off those guys and that LSU team." Once again. OU has not seen a defense like Florida's. Meanwhile Florida has not seen an offense anywhere close to OU's. Everyone seems to be assuming it will go Florida's way and that OU's offense will completely fall apart. That's just a huge assumption. You could just as easily assume Florida's defense will buckle when faced with OU's offense and fall apart. Both assumptions are equally as valid. You've just chosen to assume in Florida's direction. I'm not assuming in either direction however.

Ok question time. The most intriguing of the 4 traditional BCS Bowls? I really will have to go with the Rose Bowl since it's two highly ranked name teams. The Fiesta and Sugar look like blowouts and the Orange just seems like a snoozer to me.

You also have to consider that OU's defense has gone up against offenses that can put up points, maybe not on the level Florida is (since they're #3 in offense) but still it's not like an offense that can score and move the ball will be a huge shock. And let's not forget that Florida has not faced a team on the same planet as OU's offense. Not even in the same universe. So we'll see how they react to the best offense they've seen all season. Once again, it's going to be a high scoring game that will probably come down to turno.....wait neither team turns the ball over. Hell it'll come down to who has the ball last.

I'm just going to say this now before things get out of hand. I'm not looking to get into any huge board spanning arguments with everyone on the board where I type everything in all caps and froth at the mouth. If that's what you're expecting then stop, because it's not going to happen. OU is my favorite team. I am an alumni of OU. Obviously I will want to talk about OU and them playing in the national title game. If you don't like that because you have bad memories of me or OU then just don't talk to me. I'm not going to get into any flame wars over this. If me mentioning OU or saying anything about OU annoys you or bugs you because of said bad memories, not liking me, not liking OU, or any other number of reasons then please just put me on ignore. A few posts and it's Dama-mania? Wow dude. Florida is a good team. A very good team. They have a great QB and a great offense. They also lost to Ole' Miss at home. So let's not get ahead of ourselves and pretend they steamrolled everything in their path. Well actually I was wondering aloud if Mack had voted himself #1 and Psycho Penguin was kind enough to inform me he didn't. Not sure where you're going with this..... So you don't think winning 6 Big XII titles and a national title is good at all? So you're telling me that you're not impressed with Mack Brown as a coach? Because he's won 1 Big XII title and a national title. So if OU winning 6 isn't impressive to you then you must think that Mack sucks the big one since he can only win 1. I also don't know a coach in America that can get his team up for every game. Not even the best coach in CFB Pete Carroll (that's not a joke, i really think he is) can get his team up for every game. Especially when they're supposed to blow their opponent out. Once again, not sure where you're going with that. Yes, the Fiesta Bowl is a good bowl. And Ohio State sucks, so your team lucked out there too. Looks like Texas will probably bring another BCS bowl win home. Good for you getting to cheer your team on doing that.

Ok I said something earlier that was kind of glossed over in all the OU heat. Boise being left out. Does nobody else think Texas vs. Boise would be wildly more entertaining than Texas vs. Ohio State?

Does anyone know where I can find the final coaches ballots at? Where do they print those? I kind of want to see what coaches voted for who and see if Mack voted his team No. 1.

His 6 Big XII titles and one national championship disagree with you, but ok....you're entitled to believe that. It's a well known fact around here that OU does have motivational problems when they're a massive favorite. That's why I'm glad they'll be the underdog here. That's all I'm saying. I'm not getting into any huge debates over this.

I think part of the problem with the Big XII is that the offenses are so good people are assuming the defenses must blow. Why can't it be that the offenses are really good? Let's see how they perform in bowl games before we completely write them off as mediocre offenses playing against terrible defenses.

When did Tebow say this? Because I keep hearing about it, but never have actually heard it for myself. I think it's kind of cool that Stoops is playing against the team where he got noticed at (as the d-coordinator at florida). I'm sure someone will ask him a question about it leading up to the game and in typical Stoops fashion he'll rip into the poor guy for no real reason other than to be a dick.

I said they've been doubted a few times this year (which in my book is different than disrespected) and that a lot of people are hyping Tebow and the Gators offense and questioning OU's defense (rightfully so!). And people constantly bringing up the 4 straight BCS losses would be good also. That way OU is pissed and wanting to prove doubters wrong like they did against: Florida State, Oregon, Mizzou last year, Tech this year, OSU this year and Mizzou this year. That is what I am saying. I'd rather see Boise playing Texas than Ohio State. Anyway, even though OU is No. 1 they're going to be talked down to and disrespected in the month leading up to this title game. And I love it. Stoops performs great when he's an underdog with no shot to win. They just talked about it on ESPN and it's true. The national title game in 2000? Nobody respected them and thought FSU would walk to a national title. The Holiday Bowl against Oregon? Well Oregon is 10-1 and should be in the BCS and OU is 8-4, they don't have a shot. And then there was the Big XII game against Mizzou last year. Bob Stoops and OU are great when they're the underdogs and nobody gives them a shot. I hope people keep riding the Florida bandwagon and I hope Florida's heads get huge. The four BCS bowl games OU lost they were all favored in. They were a TD favorite over LSU and a 1 point favorite over USC. Not to mention those may have been the two cockiest OU teams in history. Even Barry Switzer probably though they should be a bit more humble. And then as Herbstreit pointed out against West Va and Boise everyone was picking them to win (yes i know people here weren't, but the majority of America and the ones that get on TV were) so of course they got cocky. So this does bode well for OU if they continue to be disrespected. Now that being said, I still think it'll be really hard for them to win. OU has a ton of trouble with running QBs and of course we know the kick coverage at OU sucks. Florida can put up a ton of points, but then again so can OU. And I don't know if I buy this "Well OU hasn't faced a defense like this this season." Hell TCU's defense is awesome and Texas' is pretty damn good and they put up 35 in both those games. But, I don't know if they can stop Tebow when it comes down to it in the end. And that is why I'm really worried about this game and not looking forward to it that much, because I really don't want to see my team suffer 5th straight BCS loss and 3rd straight national title game loss. Ugh......that would just fucking suck. And it's really really possible. Damn.

62-21. Good prediction. Mizzou should just stop playing OU. They have no answer for OU and always get their asses whipped. I think the main problem is that they talk monster loads of shit before every game with OU and just piss OU off leading OU to give them a serious hide tanning. Even Bradford said after the game that Mizzou talking trash got to them. They do that every time they play OU and it never turns out well for them, especially Chase Daniel. In 4 games against OU he's thrown 8 interceptions and fumbled about a billion times.

This SEC title game has been wildly entertaining so far. I'm really getting into it. Heard a funny quote about the Big XII title game on the radio today. "The best part of watching Missouri play OU is getting to see Chase Daniel slam his beanie on the sidelines."

If you can't give us credit for formulating our own thoughts on things in the sports world without relying on ESPN, I don't know what to tell you. Wow way to jump to conclusions.
