I feel bad for GT. I think they deserve a better bowl than that. I would say that I'm excited for the Holiday Bowl but that'd be a lie. OU's pass defense is so piss poor in my eyes that I just don't think they can stop Oregon. On top of that OU lost its O-Coordinator so the O-Line coach will be taking over duties for this game and honestly the only way for OU to win on offense is to use AD and I know Oregon is going to be waiting for it b/c they've felt the wrath of AD before. I just drew a parallel between OU and Michigan. Michigan has lost 3 bowl games in a row and two straight to the Big XII. OU is about to lose it's third straight bowl game and two straight to the Pac 10.

I'm partial to the Big XII and all but holy shit what a horribly officiated game. As much as I want the Big XII to do good in the bowls I also want to see Bill Callahan crash and burn. Also it probably would've been one of the funniest things ever if Michigan scored off that. And what about Callahan after the game? "Duhhhhhh........I didn't know what happened! I guess we won! Duh....." And let's see what else was wrong: -pass interference on Michigan's last pass. obvious interference at that -that call on the Nebraska punt coverage. then he makes the EXACT same play and they don't call it. WTF? I don't care which way they call it but at least call it consistently.

I got the "Give Em The Boot" DVD by Tim Armstrong for christmas. Well on the back it says it has live music from Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, F-Minus, Horrorpops, Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros, Lars and the Bastards, Nekromantix(i forgot to mention them. i really like them, The Nerve Agents, Roger Miret and the Disasters(another band i like), The Slackers, Tiger Army(i also like them), Transplants(ugh), and the US Bombs. Well it does have all those bands but it should actually say "10 Rancid songs and then all these other bands" because that's basically what it is.

Lou Holtz went off on Rece Davis and Mark May the other night asking if he's allowed to talk about any other team besides USC and started accusing them of giving the Longhorns no respect. And then Davis said that a national sportscaster(didn't say where) actually FORGOT who USC was playing!

I agree on Texas. I don't think they're even the best team in their conference. I think OU whoops them this year. Actually OU beat them twice last year but it'd be entertaining to see again.

I cry at how bad OU's offense is. I haven't got to watch a lot of b-ball though. Can they just not get the ball to Bookout and Gray? Is ESPN trying to give Gonzaga a jesus push? I waswatching the Top 10 Plays on SC and they show a Zaga/Memphis highlight and then throw in at the end "Memphis won BUT Gonzaga is still America's team!" What's even worse is that Ivan Maisel told me these jokers on SC write their own copy. Jesus christ get a producer to write your shows!

The Alamo Bowl apparently has not been kind to the Big XII but it seems to love Nebraska. Hmmm.....Nebraska's offense just isn't good enough to contend with a Big Ten D.

I like punk rock and I dislike emo. That's probably too simplistic and I'm leaving stuff out but how did these two genres get lumped together? It's to the point now where someone says "You like punk? Me too. I like fallout boy, taking back sunday, all american rejects....." And I just turn and walk away. But I'm not like my militant "punk" friends that think that punk rock is some huge "fuck you establishment" rebel music whereas if you're hardcore punk then you're someone special that doesn't put up with shit and what have you. You know like most listeners of a specific brand of music(and only that brand) think. But really the emo style seems to get a lot of chicks.

The Lakers for the past 2 years have seemed to be able to play good and close with the Heat. It's like they could be the worst team in the league and they'd still have a shot against the Heat.

I await your "non-partial" review. This game is so close and I think I'm going to die. As with most big games when it gets closer my mind goes crazy and I begin to doubt my pick. I think it's a defensive mechanism in my brain that doubts my pick so if they lose I go "Eh....I figured."

I was thinking about gimmicks/angles that I grew up with in the 80's and early 90's and sometimes I just wonder....who came up with that and why? Why did this guy get that gimmick? I was wondering if anyone else wondered that about certain gimmicks or angles and wanted to wonder aloud and see if anyone had any ideas? Like who came up with the Million Dollar Man for Ted Dibiase and why? I have others but I just have to gather my thoughts but I thought I'd throw that one out there. It was always an interesting character but I never had any idea who came up with it and why.

Annihilate? NW has a pretty good offense and UCLA's defense isn't exactly a world beater.

Care to support this opinion? I'd like to hear how the WWE style lends itself to more dramatic matches than the technical King's Road style. Or the technical NJPW Juniors style. Then perhaps you could compare the best matches from each style to show why the WWE matches are more dramatic. Did you read his post? It's his opinion. Everybody else in this thread is presenting opinion as fact so he did the same thing. He doesn't have to support his opinion beyond "that's what entertains me".

Come on Dama, it's Mark May, it's not like intelligence is a high point for him. It was funny on ESPN's website seeing Herbstreit pick the 2002 Ohio State team over this year's SC team. Then again, OSU had a great defense that year and if they got the usual luck they had that year they could beat the 2005 SC team. I'm just waiting for Mark May to predict that USC will blow out 95 Nebraska 52-14 behind 4 rushing TDs by Reggie Bush.

I would also like to say that this ESPN series they're doing where they match USC up against the best teams of all time is pretty cool and I think it's a good idea but why the fuck did they put Mark "USC can drop a nuclear bomb on my house and I would still bend over for them" May on it? He refuses to give any of these other teams any credit at all and just keeps predicting absurd USC blowouts.

Really? Because all I read about(not on this board b/c nobody mentioned it) was how the high powered Houston offense would easily handle the Big XII defense.
