How the hell is it racist? Yeah I've never seen a white guy in baggy clothes and bling. That Stern, always trying to hold the black man down.

I find it sad that Baylor is being considered a big game here this season. I don't know if that's a bash on OU or a credit to Baylor. We'll go with a little from A and B. However Baylor has never beaten OU. Then again until this season UCLA had never beaten OU.

What ever happened to giving something a chance? They give these shows 2 weeks and then they're gone.

Are hosts becoming too hyperbolic these days about
Damaramu replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Sports
Yeah well it's funny because my media writer's handbook says not to say things like "best ever" or "worst ever" and stuff like that. It says to present the facts and let the reader decide. -
I've said it before. The computers put OU into the title game over USC when the humans would have the USC/LSU matchup. ESPN and everyone cries loudly that humans should mean more. The humans mean more and put Texas into the Rose Bowl over Cal. ESPN and everyone cries and moans loudly again that the humans are screwing it up.

Once again. The problem with ESPN is that most of the guys you see on TV are not journalist. They're former athletes or TV personalities with personal bias(something a journalist is not supposed to show in their work) and they're just looking to say something edgy or shocking on TV for attention and ratings. There is basically no journalistic integrity in anything ESPN does. -
No team has won more games since 2000 than OU. Since 2000 we've gone 13-0, 10-2, 10-2, 12-2(or something like that in 2003), and 12-1. And we've finished 1, 4, 4, 3, and 3. So yeah that makes it kind of hard to have the season like we're having now. Oh and the reason I say that Bob Stoops will go crazy isn't just b/c of the season. It's if you watch during the games he just doesn't get angry. He just shakes his head like "god dammit. Not again!" but he never yells or freaks out like he has in the past. I say it's a rage building.

I personally don't have a problem with the dude sobbing. What I liked better was MSU's coach going nuts at halftime. Personally though I think the biggest coaching reaction we'll get this year is when Bob Stoops climbs to the top of Memorial Stadium and begins picking players off with a sniper rifle.

Yeah what a convict. He sure is hard. I can't believe the NBA is allowing this mad man on the court.

ESPN doesn't have journalist on TV. If they did they wouldn't display bias like Mark May does towards USC or Hodge does against the Eagles. They hire personalities. -
I can't believe the ref's decided the Atlanta/NO game. And yeah Maddox blows. And yeah where the hell did Dallas come from? They've only lost one game haven't they?
-
*Double Post* Stupid slow computer and TSM.
-
Well hopefully USC will take their loss elsewhere. They can't keep making these miracle comebacks. If not in conference they'll get hit by Texas or VA Tech in the Rose Bowl. And seriously what is Mark May's deal? I mean if you watched Gameday Final or hell anything that he was on yesterday you expected him to whip out the Cardinal and Gold facepaint. Oh and I remember Trev Alberts saying that Adrian Peterson wouldn't be a Heisman finalist not because he wasn't a great player but because of defenses keying on him and his team not being as good. Wow. He turned out to be spot on. That and the fact that OU killed Adrian Peterson in their first 4 games. I hope that people around the country don't start thinking AD isn't a good player though. The dude is hurt and the only weapon on a team with none.
-
That poll on ESPN is stupid. Most people are just voting for what they saw today. I doubt most of the people voting have even seen the other games. Hell I haven't even seen the OU/Nebraska game. I just read that fucking book about it.
-
All I'm saying is that Texas Tech is better than OU. OU is bizarro OU this year.
-
Yeah and could the OU from the last 2 years have handled this schedule? Yup. Can this OU? Fuck no. This is the shitty OU. Luckily we should be good when Miami rolls into town. But they'll be good too.
-
I doubt this year's OU team would be. I think USC/Texas Tech would be the first ever 150-149 shootout.
-
Does the Game of the Century work it's way into there? Is that in the last 35 years. Let's see was it 74? So yeah......is it on there? Oh and is there any chance of Texas Tech working their way into that 10 spot?
-
Speaking of Texas Tech. Their QB had over 600 yards today! How is it that Leach plugs just anyone in there and they do great?
-
So who's having the better college season, Dama...Bush or Young? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well if you want to go statistically then Reggie Bush. But it isn't all statistics because if it was then Texas Tech's QBs would run away with it every year. I think that Vince Young means more to his team than any other player in the country. I don't think Texas would be anywhere without Young. Then again USC would lose today without Bush. It's too close at this point.
-
Seems how I mentioned before that I didn't have much problem with USC after they beat OU. I had a problem when this season started and ESPN was doing everything in their power to hype USC as the god's of all college football history. So kiss my ass Bored. You're wrong about me AGAIN. Oh and Bomar still fucking sucks. Seriously is their some conspiracy in this guys favor? Does he have photos of Bob Stoops doing something wrong?
-
God damn straight OU sucks. That offense is just horrible. And now that's going to send me on a rant against the coaching staff. Why the fuck is Rhett Bomar still the QB? He had one good game against KSU and well they suck bad. The guy has gotten more opportunities than Thompson and far surpassed the suckiness that Thompson displayed against TCU. Yet this guy is still the QB? I know he's young and they want him to learn on the job but I mean it's obvious that this guy is NOT GOOD and probably won't be good. So why is he still the QB!?!? It makes no sense! And also it's obvious what we're trying on offense doesn't work so why do you stubbornly stick to it Chuck Long? It's frustrating b/c this stuff can be fixed! Nice to see that big dude from American Idol sucking Reggie Bush's dick on the way out of the tunnel. It is down to Bush and Young for the Heisman and well USC could probably still do well without Bush(not be dominant but do well) but Texas would be nowhere without Young.
-
Ah fuck USC. God damn the end of that game just ripped my heart out. Hopefully UCLA or Cal can finish their asses off. People around Oklahoma are like "They might break our record 47-game winning streak!" Yeah well they'd have to be undefeated next season too. And that isn't happening. Oh yeah and fuck Rhett Bomar in the ass. I mean it was so smart to run Tommy Grady out of town and then bench Paul Thompson. This guy truly is the future of OU football!
-
This makes no sense whatsoever. How is making the offense worse going to help their defense. If anything, it should help them recruit on the defensive side of the ball, and improve their defense in the long run. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think he may be trying to say, and I'm just guessing, that if you have a high powered passing offense that scores quickly then the defense spends more time on the field and gets tired easier thus making them worse. I say just hire yourself a Navy Seals or Army Ranger drill sgt. to do your strength and conditioning! Then they'll never tire out!
-
It's official. Texas Tech's defense still blows.
