Seriously is Mark May being paid by USC? I mean if anyone brings up the slightest criticism of USC he goes into that high pitched fast talk mode and vehemently defends them until he's blue in the face. And then he turns into a smarmy sarcastic asshole and starts declaring that USC will destroy their opponent. What is this guys deal?
-
Please. They didn't start saying that about OU until the end of the 2003 season. Then once OU lost to KSU it was "Well nevermind. They suck ass. USC!" and then the USC hype started and hasn't ended since then.
-
It could go farther but USC's is blocking it a little.
-
Yeah well I'm hoping USC loses but I don't know if it'll be this game. I still say the "turning it on" bullshit will get them in trouble. I can't watch the game though. I have to go cover an OU volleyball game. Whoo-fucking-hoo.

When did Mark May develop such a hard on for USC? Not only does he defend them against everything but he does it in such a smarmy assholish way.
-
Yeah, for the ratings it won't draw. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who cares? If you like baseball then you like watching the games and you could care less what ratings it's drawing.
-
Maybe you should look at the stats. Before this game he had a 72% pass completion rate, that's tops in the league. Not to mention he's a former Heisman Tropgy winner. Does it have anything to do with him having gone to USC? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No it has to do with him being a total fucking dickhead everytime I've heard him open his mouth. And what he said about Jason White and AD last season on Monday Night Football was pretty shitty as well.

Yeah this year. But not in the past. People act like it was the worst in the past. Not true. It's always been one of the best it's just hit a downslide the past few years. Should regain it's form soon. Oh and I still think it's funny that if you historically remove USC from the Pac 10 in football it becomes a mid-major. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wrong. UCLA, Stanford and Washington are also great traditional programs that the Pac-10 has as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In football? I remember reading about this reasearch that dated back to when the Pac 8 was formed and basically the conference has a few bright spots but would be useless in football without USC. USC's won the most national awards, titles, Rose Bowls, and Pac 10 titles. And without USC the conference would be historically weak.

I don't understand the pimping your ride period. It's a car. I use it to get from point A to point B. Doesn't matter what it looks like on the way to me as long as it has heat and air.

Funny little thing. On an OU website the poll question is "Were you shocked at OU's 45-12 loss to Texas?" and one of the choices is "Yes. I am always shocked when we don't bludgeon other teams to death with our football prowess." I think that is the general feeling in Norman usually.
-
Ok yeah the conference has been on a downswing lately. I will agree with that. But it's nowhere near as bad as the Big East and it isn't so bad that people have to treat it like it's a mid-major. It has been a good conference for a long time since it's creation.

Good the Bengals lost. I hate Palmer and don't know why he's become a god to the media now. What a depressing day. God damn Eagles.

Mark Mangino is so fat that he wears a sweater vest over a collared shirt and his nipples still poke through. Big XII scheduling? What's that all about? They don't schedule any differently than any other team. Last year OU had to play OSU and A&M on the road back to back. And OSU was a rivalry game and A&M was not bad last year and they were at A&M. And on top of that OU played Texas, KSU, and Nebraska all in a row in 2000 and all teams were in the Top 10 at the time OU played them! And let's not forget that Texas went to tOSU this year. So what's this Big XII scheduling crap? Yeah some of the Big XII scheduled cream puffs but other members of the Big XII scheduled decently and they have since the inception of the Big XII. I really don't get the swing against the Big XII that exists here sometimes. If someone knew nothing about college football and read TSM they'd probably think the Big XII has never had a ranked team or a national champion.
-
Leave the Big XII out of this. They have at least one legit Top 10 team every year, usually 2 with OU and Texas, and they produce national champions in other sports as well. It's a good football conference that is down right now. But it's nowhere near as bad as the Big East. Don't even try that.

What in the fucking hell is wrong with the Eagles D?
-
How am I ranked so high with 2 losses? Is it b/c I get a lot of picks right?
-
And PSU goes ahead 14-3. My best friend Chris has always had a hard on for PSU for some reason so he's loving this. Oh and what's all this talk about the margin of victory today in the RRS matching the largest ever? Maybe for Texas. They won by 33 points. OU's won 50-0 before. And in 2003 it was like 65-13....so what the hell is that all about?
-
Wow anyone checking out CU/A&M? I mean I know A&M sucks but Colorado seems to be playing at a pretty high level this season. I guess we'll see how they do against Texas next week. Anyone watching Penn State/Ohio State? How's it look for the Nittany Lions to everyone so far? They're ahead. Oh and something funny. All of you saw how bad Rhett Bomar sucks today. Well here's some funny stuff to look back on after Bomar's first 5 games: -all the sorority girls at OU love Bomar. they go on about how hot he is and how much better than Paul Thompson he is. -a local newspaper writer(who by the way the entire oklahoma media HATES) compared him to John Elway AND everyone's favorite Green Bay QB. -and last but not least last season my friend on the softball team overheard Bomar in the weight room saying that(and then it's been verified by several people that know him) he's better than Jason White. He then went on to say that Jason White stole his job and that if he had played that OU would've beaten USC. HAHAHA. And that's another thing. Paul Thompson didn't even get a fucking chance at QB. Yeah Thompson royally screwed up in the TCU game but Bomar has fucked up worse since then and he just keeps trudging along. If he was turning in these performances anywhere else in the country he'd be on the bench. Stoops is mad or something.

Doug Gottlieb was talking about the general feeling around ESPN about OU and he said it's utter shock. Like everyone knew they were going to have problems but none of them knew it was going to be this bad. Then he said Corso and Mel Kiper Jr. are convinced OU will win the Big XII next year b/c they say all the young guys will be better. We'll see how good they get in a year.
-
Actually OU is 2-3. It's just hard to picture a Bob Stoops coached team not even going to a bowl. But I mean they have Kansas who sucks worse than KSU and they tore KSU a new one. They have Baylor who while good is not that good. They have Nebraska and Tech which will both be challenges and they'll either go 1-1 or 0-2 in those games. And then they have OSU who is the worst team in the Big XII and A&M who seems to be joining OSU on the bottom rung of the Big XII. OU should probably finish 7-4 or 6-5. Both bowl worthy. Maybe Independence Bowl worthy though. Yikes.
-
And as soon as I say that Texas Tech makes the comeback score.
-
Wow......maybe Nebraska is for real.
-
Well USC is having a little bit of fun with Arizona.
