So I'm going to Unforgiven as a reporter......I'm at a total loss at what to ask anyone. I can't ask kayfaybe questions but I can't ask smarkish questions either. Tuesday morning I have to go to the Unforgiven Press Conference. This one is going to be even more difficult to resist getting smarky with questions.

My mom is convinced the 49ers are going to lay a hurting on TO and beat the Eagles.

I'm a sports writer right now. I still love the Sooners but i'm looking at things realistically and I know how people view Big XII teams. Hell NOBODY respects OU's 2000 national title win.

Sad that the big moment for Texas has to come during a down year for the conference. If they win it all people will just point to the fact that the conference was down. And you act like K-State has been down for years......it was only one year. Not time to panic.

I wasn't on his jock. They only let us talk to Carlito and Candice afterwards. The only reason I got JR is b/c the DJ I was hanging with is friends with him and I go to OU.

Well I went to the press conference. Everyone stayed in character and they only let marks ask questions. But then I got a one on one with Carlito.....who REFUSED to come out of character. Candice.......who well she didn't have much to say. And then Jim Ross and me and him and a local radio guy hung out and talked OU football for a good hour.

Anyone see Falcons/Eagles developing into a new rivalry much like Colts/Patriots? These teams seem to always be at it and from what I can tell the fans of each team hates the other team and doesn't think it's worth a damn. Oh and Kevin Mathis was a goon. I can just see Jim Mora in the press conference "I decided to send a goon in!"

I'm not that worried about the Eagles. If we can just find a better running game we'll be in great shape. I think we might've one that game if we'd had Jermiah Trotter b/c he would've caused havoc for Atlanta's run game.

No they were gloating in my face when I was taking the loss gracefully.

The thing that made this game worse was that my parents were rooting for the Falcons and yelling at me the whole game. Oh well I gave them a piece of my mind after the game. After I told them off and called my dad fat and told them about how the Eagles were still going to the Super Bowl I made sure to put down their teams. In my mom's case I told her that Farve was too old and should've hung it up. And in my dad's case I told him that Oklahoma State has more trouble on offense than OU and that's saying something. When he tried to rebound I also reminded him about how his favorite football team is always little brother to my team and he can shut his fat mouth until they actually win a Big XII title. I felt good after that.........but the Eagles still lost. So I'm sad.

Come on guys! Figure it out on offense!

I was blowing a gasket at the beginning of this game but things seem to have settled down. I really think I'm the only Eagles fan in Oklahoma.

Oh yeah I remember ESPN's high and mighty tirade over the Coaches poll. It was funny b/c the year before they demanded that the human element have more meaning b/c the computers put OU in over USC. They pitched a fit over it. So there was more human element to appease all the bitching. Well the human element that they cried so hard to get gave Texas the Rose Bowl over Cal. Then they whined and bitched about that! The same thing they whined to get!

What is with the selective use of polls? For rankings ESPN and ABC uses the AP poll while FSN uses the Coaches poll.

Wow....this is the first time since 99 that OU has dropped out of the Top 20. If there aren't alarms going off in Bob Stoops head right now then I don't know what will make them go off! I had a guy behind me during the game yesterday yelling stuff like "Hey Chuck Long! Flip your play sheet over! They've figured out the 4 plays you keep calling!" and "There's another side of the field! It's called the left! Run some plays in that direction!" and "You're allowed to throw the ball to a reciever within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage Long!" I mean people are seriously fed up in Norman with his offensive play calling and his stubborness. And honestly I think Coach Stoops is too. This is the 2nd week in a row that he has mentioned the offensive play calling being bad and not putting their QB's in a position to win. Well Bob....DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

I think I may have teared up a little bit during the first half of action today......I've missed this so much! lol.

In the past I'd defend OU as belonging in the Top 25......can't do it this time.

Good god Priest Holmes is a MAN. That was a nice TD run. Steve Smith is also a MAN after what I just saw.
