Well I don't like David Wells period and I never have. But when I see either of these guys no matter how good they are pitching I just know that they're going to get lit up in an inning any moment now. It was like Pedro against the Yankees. "Ok he's pitched a no-hitter.....the grand-slam is coming somewhere in here..."

I'm just groaning everytime I see Wells and Schilling pitching. I know it doesn't always happen but something in my head just goes "Well you'd better hit the ball well b/c these guys are going to give up runs."

Pelini wasn't the D-Coordinator when OU played KSU in the Big 12 title game. He was the interim head coach at Nebraska during this time. He only coached for OU during the 2004 season. Before that we'd had one of the best secondaries in college football every year. However with Pelini in there he started changing shit and getting the players to play roles they weren't used to playing and well we saw how bad OU got ass-rammed anytime someone decided to throw the ball deep(OSU, A&M, USC). Pelini is a finesse coach and OU was used to an in you god damn face Mike Stoops hard-ass type. Maybe LSU needs a finesse guy like Pelini but I can tell you that he screwed up big time at OU.

Dude one poll has us ranked #5 and the other #7 I think that's damn good. Wasn't it SI's ranking that had us real low and I've seen others that have us around 16 so I think we're doing good.

Ok so this is an older book and it's probably been discussed ad nasuem but I'm just getting around to reading it and I haven't heard much discussion on it. The Da Vinci Code......how credible is anything mentioned in it? Are these like real academic theories or is it just fiction? Because I know the book is a fictional work but he just presents it like it's true and it would seem some of it could be true. Like the stuff about the Roman Emperor that created the bible and edited which gospels would appear and about all the religous symbology that has been changed. Because honestly if everything this book says is true then going to church and believing in god seems useless. So really is it all fiction or is some of it based in fact?

Yeah but if you're just faulting the offense then it seems like you're giving the defense no credit. A defense can turn a good offense into a bad offense and I think the credit goes to the defense rather than blaming the offense. FSU's 2000 offense was awesome until they ran into a great defense at OU. I mean there was no denying that OU's 2003(scoring 50 points on average a game) and 2004 offenses were awesome. But they were turned into a bad offense when they ran into a really great defense. If USC runs up against a ball busting stifling defense then I believe they to will perform badly. It's just how it happens and I don't think people give the defense the credit they deserve.

Sometimes I really don't think it is the QB's fault. Sometimes the defense just makes an incredible play. I mean the best of the best throw INTs. Sometimes the reciever falls down and the only person standing there now is a DB. That's not really the QB's fault at all.

I have a PS2, GC, and X-Box. The X-Box gets the most play and the other 2 mostly collect dust. I'm going to wait a while after all of these are launched to decide what i really want b/c I don't want to have dust collectors AGAIN. The Gamecube section at my local blockbuster is by far the smallest section I've ever seen for a video game section and I just can't ever find a game on it that I'm really really interested in playing. Maybe after I've graduated college and I have an actual career and I'm living on me own I'll buy all the systems and spend my days going to work all day and then coming home and gaming......that's my ultimate dream.

Yeah but most of them were caused by the defense......well all except for the one where Jason White's brain fell out of his head and he threw the ball into a Trojan defensive huddle. But like think of his first INT against LSU. It was right on the reciever but the DB managed to pop it up and the other DB that was in the area managed to snatch it out of the air after it was popped up.

Well Teke that's the story of how the general public views football. They never want to give defense credit they just want to blame the offense and the offensive players. Believe me we know that here in Oklahoma all to well(after LSU and USC's defense dominated us and everyone in Oklahoma wants to blame it on the offense and not give the opposing defense credit).

His excuse for Louisville was something like "They have the best chance to go undefeated b/c of the schedule." Yeah I know.....OU has 9 more years to catch FSU...with Bob Stoops at the helm it's possible but I won't count on it.

Wow so that was their first post-season meeting? Well I guess the Pac 10 and Big 8 never really traditionally met in post season action before the BCS.....well the top teams at least. The AP poll is out. I'm too lazy to post it but everyone can guess who 1 and 2 are. OU is 7 in this poll and I'm happy with that. I think it's more realistic than 5 and we continue our streak of not falling out of the Top 10. Now how many more years do we have to finish in the Top 5 to beat FSU? We've got 5 years of consecutive Top 5 finishes so far.

Sony is going to be the most expensive system is it not?

I have heard it. I believe aside from Texas and possibly Nebraska(not sure on that one) Miami is the only major program in college football that OU doesn't have a .500 or better record against. Oh and we're also going to having a visit from Notre Dame, a home and home series with FSU and LSU in the near future.
