On a local station they're playing the 1984 OU/OSU game complete with OSU wearing mid-drift jerseys, OU wearing see-through mesh jerseys tucked into their hip pads, and Barry Switzer in a red OU polo, red tight slacks, and white boots. The 80's was a uniform disaster in college football apparently.

Some interesting things I learned about OU this year. This will be the first year that a Ferguson is not punting for OU under Bob Stoops. We've had the brothers Jeff and Blake punting for us since 99. Also this is the first year OU will be using a QB not from Bob Stoops original recruiting class. All of our previous starters: Josh Heupel, Nate Hybl, and Jason White were recruited before Bob's first year.

Why is Little Ricky holding out like this and being such a dick? I would've never pegged him to be the type to do this.

The only funny thing I remember from that show is when the dad found a joint and he thought it was Joey Lawrence's. Well Lawrence thought he was talking about a condom that he had in his wallet so they had a funny exchange. "I was just going to carry it around in my wallet! Try to be cool!" "I know son but pretty soon you're buying them all the time. Using it all the time. You'll be passing them around to your friends and doing it at parties!" That was jist of it. It was pretty funny.

Of course my team also got blown out 55-19 and graduated like 12 starters so....it's a little bit more interesting for me to see how they come out and who replaces who and how they play. I mean it's not that I'm worried. I'm not thinking we're going to win a National Title or anything or even go to the game but I mean our 2000 team was our least talented and most unknown team.

Hey my first game is against fucking TCU and the second one is against Tulsa so it's not like the first two weeks are going to be anything challenging or exciting for OU....but it's still football!

God damn I'm getting excited. 2 weeks from this Saturday. I have my season tickets and I'm ready to go. I'm really excited to see if the defense has gotten better from that atrocious secondary we had last year. Venables claims this is the best front 7 he's ever had and Bobby Jack Wright is a loud in your face secondary coach that emphasizes physical and intimidating defense over the finesse stuff of Bo Pelini. He's reminding everyone here of Mike Stoops....which we need. God damn this is going to be good. Our first test is in Pasadena against UCLA....UCLA is soft against the run so I'm expecting AD to have a breakout game. Our first real danger game where we could lose is in the Cotton Bowl but I'm ready for the shorthorns. Come on everyone! I don't care who you're a fan of: USC, Virginia, Virginia Tech, LSU, Alabama, Texas, Kansas State, Auburn, Florida, Miami, Tennessee, whatever! Two weeks till your teams take the field!

So if I just want to hook it up to my TV and sit on my bed and play X-Box 360 games and then save them to play later......which version do I need? I'm not getting online or doing any of that crap. The Tommy Grady era at OU is officially over as he announced today that he will transfer.....he's hoping to USC......BWAHAHAHA. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. It's been obvious since the Summer that we didn't need him and he wasn't going to be the starter.

I was so afraid this would go into a play-off. I had my first newspaper staff meeting of the semester today and it was just right after the championship ended. I told my editor that if it had gone into a playoff that he wouldn't have seen me at the meeting today. He just went "God damn golf writers......"
