I see everyone picking OU and Texas for the Big XII but I mean Texas A&M is better and I think they could shock some people. Do I want them to? Hell no. But I think they could. Of course like I said they go to Norman and play a team that has typically whipped their asses in Norman(i posted the combined score earlier) and that same team has only lost one homer game in 6 years. But I mean that team is ripe for the picking! As a massive OU homer I KNOW that we are weakened and open for the Big XII to finally start taking their revenge shots.

Well I agree Texas sucks and as a Sooner-bred OU fan I will be rooting for OU to stomp them into the ground. But I'm trying to step back and look at this realistically and view the personnel on the field. Unfortunately I neglected to observe the personnel on the sideline under my original post on the game.

Bored.....why did you pick OU and Ohio State? Those are the only ones that jump out at me. I mean just about everyone and their dog has picked Texas to win the Big XII and has OSU made that many gains on offense to become much better than they were last year? Yeah they could score in the last 2 games but up until then it was sad.

Oh ok. It was his hamstring. I don't know why I thought shoulder. Maybe it's b/c 2 OU players had shoulder surgery on the offseason so I just thought of shoulder. I read it at like 4 AM last night in the USA Today Sporting Weekly or whatever and it said it was still nagging him. He says it's not. We'll see I guess.

I think Clayton was going to be a major factor. Most NFL GM's were creaming themselves over his speed and route running ability but hated his size. If any of the Sooners taken were to make an immediate impact then it was him. But yeah he injured his shoulder during Mini-Camp. They say it's getting better and he can practice but they're afraid to make him practice in pads.

Hey Mark Clayton got injured during mini-camp. He might not even be ready to go by the beginning of the season. They still claim he was the most polished reciever and best route runner of the entire draft but I mean he needs to get his NFL workouts in and he hasn't been able to thus far. Not to mention someone needs to throw the ball to him and Mason and I'm pretty sure most people still don't trust Kyle Boller.

I used to play Rugby and I loved it but I've never seen Aussie Rules. I'll have to check it out. Is it funner to play than Rugby?

Well if you're going to do the ACC I guess I can break down the Big XII race. I think there's actually 3 serious contenders in the South: OU, Texas, and Texas A&M. And I'll put Texas Tech in as a darkhorse b/c the D got better and the offense will have you guessing always. Now the key game in the South will of course be The Red River Shootout. OU has a mental edge winning the game 5 straight years. And Texas will probably still be one dimensional which has killed them in the past. However with the key losses of OU they may not have the personnel to stop this one dimensional attack. And Vince Young wasn't too bad throwing the ball in the Rose Bowl and was said to get better over the offseason. On top of that while Texas did lose Derrick Johnson that is pretty much it. They return nearly the entire damn defense that held a high scoring OU offense to only 12 points last year. Granted Peterson rushed for over 200 yards but Texas clamped down in the red zone. This year that tough Texas D returns with a new D-coordinator, Auburn's DC from last year! With Jason White, Mark Clayton, and Mark Bradley gone alone with half the offensive line OU may have trouble opening up holes for Peterson or protecting whoever is in the backfield calling the signals. Which is still a question as to who will even be calling the signals at this point! Now OU may have more of a chance if OSU knocks Texas off b/c then they may be mentall down. But if they beat OSU then they'll come into the game on Cloud 9 and finally have the swagger that they haven't had in the past. The crimson and cream blood that runs through my veins begs for me to pick OU but realistically it's Longhorns year. If they ever had a chance this is the chance. Now Texas A&M can sneak up on people b/c they were very good last year. They have Texas in College Station which is a very tough place to play. But they have to go to OU. They were a horrible road team and the last time they were in Norman they were pounded 77-0. As a matter of fact in their last 3 trips to Norman they have lost 159-6! However in College Station they are dangerous. If they can get Texas to beat OU and then someone else to knock OU off and they knock off Texas then they have the Big XII. Now in the North it's wide open still. Any of these teams could probably do it. I think in the end it'll be a 2 team race between Colorado and Iowa State but I think Nebraska could shock some people. They had a great recruiting class and they claim they have the personnel to run the West Coast offense effectively now. Well that's what I think about the Big XII this year at least. The North is once again wide open and the South is a 2(this year 3) team race as usual.

Arkansas/USC. I dunno why. I know it's at USC and USC will probably kill them. But something about the game interests me. I dunno maybe it's an SEC team going deep into the Pac 10......I dunno but I really want to watch the game. Unfortunately it will probably be regional and I will miss it. Oh and Texas/OSU will be awesome. I can't wait for that game either. My way to early conference predictions are: ACC: FSU Big East: U of L Big XII: Texas Big Ten: Iowa SEC: Tennessee Pac 10: USC(duh) And that's it. I don't know enough about the smaller conferences to make a decision on them. I stand by my USC, U of L, and Iowa picks. The rest are shaky but I'm pretty sure the Texas and Tennessee one's will be right.

I was at a local club in downtown OKC last night and they were having a bikini contest. Jim Ross was the judge. That was weird. They said "How are you feeling JR?" and he said "I'm not to drunk so let's bring on the girls!"

Yeah I had a lot of fun but man I dunno if the price I paid the next day was worth it. Then again I regret nothing!

I never wanted to be like that... it's funny you mention this show...i was watching the season 2 premier with my wife...my comment to her was: "you know what would really shake up this show and make it a lot more entertaining? A couple of black guys!" Because, seriously, that show really sucks and needs SOMETHING... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fuck no I don't want to be like that either. But I knew people in HS and know people in fucking college that are or want to be like that.

Yeah but MTV doesn't cater to everyone. Yeah what they show appeals to the masses but I know I can't identify with half of the rich spoiled kids they put on their TV shows. Like Laguna Beach....that's not the majority of kids in America. But it's what every kid in America wants to be. A rich spoiled brat who has all these dramatic "problems" that are laughable to people with real problems. And MTV is the kind of promoting underage drinking. I think every show they has involves it somehow.

Oh I remember this fucking morning. I was sick as hell. The only other time I got sick from drinking was the first time I ever got drunk.

Performing will probably be: 1 Gangsta Rap artist with a huge ensemble, 1 R&B artist, 1 Hip Hop artist, and if they have time a possible quick performance from a crappy EMO band.

Well I went out.....and I ran into one of my teachers and she bought me a drink and kissed me. It was kind of weird. But I got absurdly drunk. Drunker than I've ever been in my life and it got to the point where it wasn't fun drunk. It was "Oh shit I'm dying" drunk. I guess it's fun to look back on but at the time it wasn't fun! And I've never been hung over......well I have once and it wasn't bad. But at about 8 this morning I leaped out of bed and ran to the bathroom and puked my guts out. Now I have a god awful hangover....but I regret nothing!

Who's playing? Anyone known, or just some local bands? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Street Dogs are the main headliner. And then there's......Throw Rag, Riverboat Gamblers, and the Briefs.
