It's probably the knee.

Nope, I won't. Then why are you bringing it up 4-5 years later? Amends have been made since then.
-
I think the way the media has slobbed their knob since then and been ready to give them them the title game each year when they have one loss (right before they pick up the second) more than makes up for it. Also winning the BCS title the next year also helps make up for it. And the fact that when people refer to that year they refer to USC as the champions and forget LSU exists. So if it's like 10 years from now and USC has won like 2 or 3 more titles, but are questionably ranked high at one point are USC fans going to bring up 04?
-
Wow, I wish the AP Poll counted for something in the BCS still. OU would be right in the hunt for the BCS title game in that case. Usually the polls do a pretty good job of mirroring each other, but these two are completely different. I agree, USC jumping 5 spots must be people just glancing at the score and not actually seeing how the game went. "Let's see, oh damn! They beat ASU 28-0! Must've been a beating!" My dad is a huge OSU fan and he's glad they're in the top 10, but pissed OU is still ahead of them.

So both the teams that people thought were going to go undefeated and play each other in the Big XII title game lost today, interesting. It kind of reminds me of OU and Nebraska in 01 where everyone thought they were on a collision course for each other. Then the Big XII title game ended up being Colorado and Texas.
-
Man I never thought I'd live to see the day when OSU is ranked higher than OU and has a better road win.
-
Well yes, he should have been, but for whatever reason Venables was the one who turned down the slot. I don't recall if it was because KSU didn't make a good enough offer or if he really was just more satisfied down in Norman, but it certainly would have been better than the eventual "allright, you'll do" hiring of Prince As for the Juco players, that's just continuing the tradition that Snyder started But, there is one fundamental difference between Snyder and Prince.......Snyder was a good coach!

Parity baby~!~!~!

Well I say the Texas O-line did well because neither team could run the ball in the first half. Texas found a way to run the ball in the second half and OU didn't. OU's offensive line is too damn fat and they get worn down or blown by by fast guys too easily. I mean look at the Fiesta Bowl. WVU ran right by those guys like they were statues. Also, I'm hearing some OU fans blame the officials already. But you know what? There were some terrible calls both ways so it all balances out.
-
Are you suggesting a trade? (though Prince was an O-guy before coming to KSU) Too bad KSU locked up Prince until 2012... though the local radio guys were wondering if we could try to get Venables again even though I don't believe the situation is any more favorable to him now than it was in '06 Hell no. I'm just saying Venables should've been the coach in the first place! He probably wouldn't have brought 50,000 JUCO guys in.

Hey Broward, growing up as a fan of the rivalry haven't you always heard the expression "This game is a game that is won in the trenches!" on all your local radio and news? It's usually a cliche' but it was so right in this game. I mean both teams had playmakers and both teams made huge plays. BUT, Texas dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and were able to put pressure on Bradford and run the ball. And that turned out to be the difference in the game. When tired cliche's come alive.
-
KSU needs a new coach........OU needs a new defensive coordinator. Well it's kind of funny. Texas hasn't gotten a lot of pub this year. OU was ranked No. 1 and getting all the hype, but it's not like anything screwy happened in the game. Texas was just flat better and made more plays. Wonder why they flew under the radar being so good?
-
Does 'Bama go to #1 or if Mizzou just blows OSU away do they move to #1? Maybe Texas moves to 2 setting up a 1 vs. 2 match?
-
Well I guess it's good that they found a way to disappoint me early than late. They still have an outside shot at a title provided they win-out and Texas drops two (to like Mizzou or Texas Tech) and then OU can beat an undefeated Mizzou in the Big XII title game. BUT, given the performance of this sorry ass defense I'd expect Chase Daniel to have his revenge by ass-raping that D. Besides if this defensive performance is any indication OU will probably lose at Stillwater. Like I said, I guess it's better they disappoint me now rather than letting my hopes get inflated high only to be crushed in a BCS game. Of course this was OU's best chance to win a national title in a long time because of all the seniors. Oh well, I guess I can enjoy the previous 7 titles.....but that one in 2000 is becoming more and more of a distant memory.
-
Nice to see the OU defense playing well.....oh wait I forgot. This is a big game and the OU defense has no heart in big games. Fucking shit as usual.
-
I'm so glad OU/Texas means something again this year. It's probably been since 03 that both teams have been unbeaten and highly ranked. Or maybe even 02.
-
So I haven't got to watch a lot of Texas this year, but I hear Colt McCoy is 215 pounds now!? Wow, he really bulked up. I remember his freshman season he looked like a twig that would snap in half if you hit him.
-
What's up with the Cleveland show? Why him? He's not even that funny. I mean I think a show about Joe would be infinitely funnier, then again I just love Patrick Warburton.
-
This RRS has me very very nervous. Texas is good and it'll be hard to stop Colt McCoy. But, at the same time Texas has a weak pass defense and Bradford can light them up. The OSU-Mizzou game may be a score fest but I'm willing to bet the RRS breaks a few bulbs on the scoreboard because I don't know if either team can stop the others QB.

Is Brad Childress ever going to learn that even Adrian Peterson can't run through a wall of 9 guys?
-
That'll just make the Eagles fall into a bigger hole of self pity. And APO is right, what is up with the playcalling? It was just perfect against the Rams and until the 4th quarter against Dallas. It's just sputtered since Westbrook went down and McNabb took the shot against Pitt. It's like he retreated into a shell where he was like "Well damn, I gotta keep them healthy! So we'll throw it 50 times and if Brian runs it he'll just do it straight up the middle!"
-
I wouldn't be so upset about being last in the division. It's one of the best divisions in years, and by far the best in the league right now. Only 3 teams (at best) from the division can go to the playoffs. Being last in it means a lot. I don't care how good it is it still puts Philly on the outside looking in.
-
McNabb lost his balls to run the ball a long time ago. He looked like he was getting them back but the injury against Pitt scared him again. You're telling me he couldn't have scored with a bootleg or a sneak against Chicago or gotten the first down in the same situation today!? At least Campbell has a pair and took off when he saw green in front of him, McNabb just holds the ball looking for an open man.
-
God dammit that Eagles game was so fucking frustrating. This Eagles season has been just like every other season since they lost the Super Bowl: fucking frustrating, irritating and hair-pulling. Things looked so good against St. Louis and Dallas (and to a lesser degree Pitt). Then they looked terrible against Chicago. Today they looked good for a half a quarter then they looked like a bunch of retards running around with their helmets on backwards from that point on. God damn I'm so angry right now. 2-3 and in the cellar of the division!?

Why did LSU get a first place vote?
