You also can't start me being a fan of the Chiefs. And like I said I don't like them as much as the Eagles but I still love them. So get over it. So what you saw me doing with OU to you guys I do with the Eagles to everyone I know. My mom is a Packers fan so it got especially crazy last year in the divisional round. So no I'm not going to quit liking the Chiefs and I'm still going to love the Eagles and be a diehard fan of them. I hope the Eagles win the Super Bowl every year. No "reality" show can be crueler than that one show "Who's Your Daddy?" That show just seemed really cruel. And I agree they aren't reality shows anymore so much as glorified game shows.

It's a religions here. People were still f'n talking about the Sugar Bowl into July last year and I have a feeling people will be calling into the radio about the Orange Bowl even during the season next year. As long as you still root for that team after the glory years have passed, you're a true fan. If you conveniently change allegiances when the team starts to fall apart, then you're not. I agree with that, also, with all due respect Dama , it does not help when you say you are also a fan of the Chiefs. When you use descriptions like "true" and "diehard" (from the other thread) to describe your fandom, it doesn't help when you then mention you are a fan of two teams. The only team I hate is the Dallas Cowboys. I don't like the Giants, Redskins, Bucs, New Jersey Devils or Tampa Bay Lightning. But the only team I actively despise is Dallas. Well it's really easy. The Chiefs are AFC. The Eagles are NFC. I root for the Eagles over the Chiefs. However when the Eagles aren't available I'll root for the Chiefs. Now if it comes down to the Eagles/Chiefs in the Super Bowl......I'm a happy camper, I can sit back and enjoy. But I really don't own any Chiefs stuff. I just root for them when they're on and hope for them to do well over the rest of the AFC. However I have tons of Eagles shit and have gone out of my way to watch an Eagles game(like calling into work sick). Well, the "diehard" comment makes you look dumb after you've admitted to liking numerous teams. That comment makes me doubt most of what you say because that's what a diehard fan is! It's going through the tough times and cheering teams even when they suck and go 1-15 or 3-13. To be a diehard fan, you can't just flick a switch on/off and say I like this team cause they're winning and doing well so they'll replace this other team because they did poorly. It's like you're bandwagoning, or jumping from team to team based on how successful they are. It's like saying you're a fan of Oklahoma, then they go 4-8 and you go off and start saying that you like Virginia Tech because they went 10-2 and are in a bowl game. This isn't as much a personal attack on you as it is a probable explanation for people seemingly jumping down your throat. In your example, you'd be a diehard fan of the Eagles but be considered by most to be a fairweather or bandwagon fan of the Chiefs. Yet I still cheered the Chiefs this year hoping that they would somehow put something together and make the playoffs. So it doesn't really hold ground b/c it was a tough year for the Chiefs after last year and I still cheered for them. And you can't ask me where I was during the tough years for the Eagles b/c I wasn't around for them! I watched it when I was a kid and liked Randall Cunningham. I quit watching until last year and started watching the Eagles again and the Chiefs. The Chiefs had a tough year but I still cheered them. And you guys act like i'm making a list of about 10 NFL teams and declaring myself a huge fan of them. I've named 2 teams. That's not as many as you guys make it out to be. And I'm a bigger fan of the Eagles than I am of the Chiefs but I still fucking like the Chiefs and I'm still always going to fucking cheer them and nothing is going to change that. And you guys really need to get over this b/c it's become an obsession for everyone on the board when nothing you guys say about me and my fandom is remotely true. OU just got blasted in the National Title game and embarassed and I'm still as big of a fan as I was before the game. The Chiefs just has an awful year and I'm still a fan. If the Eagles get blasted this weekend(which i don't think they will)then I'll still put on my fucking Eagles hat and I'll still walk around and support the Eagles. Seriously I have no clue what the show is really about and I've watched every commercial. They want to take this Matador dude out so they're going to try to trick him and outsmart him? But he's like one of the best Poker players ever? Yeah I don't get how they plan to do it....unless he's one of those characters that is strangely a genius at the table but completely brain dead in every other facet of life. Oh and what kind of poker do they play on these shows? Is it Texas Hold 'Em?

I'm bringing this back up for 2 reasons. For starters the show is about to start coming on. It looks alright but I'm not really interested in poker unless I'm playing. And I always play 5-card draw.....they don't on these shows do they? Second what the hell is the name of that song on the commercials? It's got a catchy tune.

God damn UNC is good. I think the only way they go out is by one of those crazy tourney upsets that comes out of nowhere. I think Wake may take them this weekend though. Who does everyone see going from the power conferences right now? Like the ACC, Big East, Big XII, SEC, Pac 10, Big Ten, and so on?

What I'm wondering when you say to be a true fan of someone you had to like them during a certain era when they were doing badly......what if you didn't watch football during that era? What then?

All I know is that the Eagles are winning and that's all there is to it. The Vikes offense will not be able to handle our defense and Kearse will be in Dante's face all day. As for the other games I have the Falcons, Steelers and I refuse to make a pick for the Colts/Patriots game b/c I have no fucking clue. I'm just going to sit back enjoy it and not root for anyone.

OSU beats Mizzou in an exciting game. Man Big XII hoops are pretty damn exciting. And Maryland is humbled at the hands of Wake Forest last night. College Hoops are pretty good so far this season.

Does anyone only really hate a team when they are winning? And when they aren't you're just kind of indifferent to them? Like the Patriots. I knew they were going to take it all last year so I didn't like them, that is until those damn sneaky Panthers injured Donovan McNabb and I had to cheer for the Patriots to gain me some retribution. But this year.....I'm very indifferent to the Patriots b/c I don't think they'll take it all. God damn this team flies under the radar, even when they're one of the best.

Ok I got a question that relates to the playoffs. I didn't know where to put it so I'll stick it in here. Let's say we have The Patriots and Jets. The Patriots lose a game at the Jets. The Jets lose a game at the Patriots. Neither team loses another game all season. Who wins the division?

How could I forget the Cowboys? I think the fact that they've sunk into medicority has caused me to not so much hate them anymore but just not care about them since they are no threat to the Eagles anymore. And I would've said USC on this list about a month ago.....but god damn I respect that entire program now.

The Rams just because I dated a girl who's dad loved them and when he found out I didn't care for them he was an asshole to me until I dumped her and I haven't seen him since. I wanted to go over to his house last year and imitate the Michael Strahan/Cowboy fan commercial and just yell "How about them Panthers? I said how 'bout them Panthers!?" I don't like the Yankees for obvious reasons. I don't like the Lakers for obvious reasons. I'm not to fond of Duke b/c of the Dickie V bj's. I don't like The Broncos at all and I can't explain why. I just don't. I don't like Ohio State and I can't really explain that one either. Something about them rubs me the wrong way. I don't like Texas A&M b/c well......I just don't like those fuckers. While I was rooting for the Big XII in the bowl games I was taking a deep seeded pleasure somewhere in my heart watching them be dismantled by Tennessee. And well......I can't think of may teams that I just out and out hate like those.

Well some of us weren't around in the early 80's......but I was around in the 90's hence why I started watching Randall Cunningham and liking them after that.

Boston Celtics and Red Sox: I've always had a thing for the Boston teams Eagles: I liked Randall Cunningham when he played for them and I just kind of took to the team after that. OU: I go to the school and have lived 10 minutes away from it my whole life.

Oh man I can't get over how much fun that was! I love going to basketball games now! That was so awesome. I was never sitting down! The stupid thing though is that at OU games they have the student section on the same side as the cameras. Which makes no sense b/c the students are the craziest and most animated at games. So when you watch it on TV you see the old people that don't go to the school all sitting over there on their asses meanwhile us students are standing up and going fucking nuts on our side. I don't understand it. Oh and I think the refs at this game were awful. We got a lot of "Fuck You Ref" chants going. I mean Taj Gray was getting fucking mugged when he went to the hoop during the first half and they never called a foul. But if Kevin Bookout so much as breathed heavy in a UConn players direction it was a shooting foul. And then they called a technical on Johnnie Gilbert for hanging on the rim when he did no such thing. I thought that was stupid as well. Luckily we fought through the shitty ref'n and beat an overrated team. Yay. We had a huge "over-rated *CLAP CLAP CLAP*over-rated" chant going on. It was great.

Wow OU actually beat UConn by 12 tonight! I was at the game and it was awesome. The crowd was jacked and I think I have more fun at basketball games than I do at football games. It was a blast.
