God damn I think I'm going to puke. I can feel something coming up. My stomach is in knots. I'm getting pre-game jitters. You know the jitters where you start doubting your team and everything related to it! Whereas before I was like "Yeah we'll win!" Now that it's so close to game time I'm like "OH GOD! WE'RE GOING TO LOSE BY 30!!!!!!"

Yeah Stoops is a family man. According to a friend of mine on the Rugby team that used to play OU football, he made Mike Stoops get married and settle down. Well he didn't out and out make him but he pressured him. Apparently Mike was a pretty big player. My friend who's name was Kerry Salesman says he remembers seeing Mike one night heading to his hotel room with a woman on each arm. Haha.

Yeah Carroll likes to have fun but I wouldn't say Bob Stoops is a total hardass. He is a little bit more business like but Stoops tries to come off as a father figure to his players.

Hey this might be fun to do. Make everyone step outside who they're rooting for. And look at the other team from the standpoint of the others fans. Everyone that picked USC. Tell me why you think OU will win. Everyone that picked OU. Tell me why you think USC will win. I think USC will win b/c the special teams are just flat out better than OU's. OU has missed several easy field goals and the punter has fumbled 2 punt snaps. USC's special teams are so fast and good they will jump on any of these mistakes. OU has been shown to be weak against short passes. Since Perkins came back and Walker was pulled from redshirt they haven't given up the deep ball but they still give up short passes. With Leinart's quick release he can have a field day throwing over the middle to his tight end. Adrian Peterson has shown he can be stopped in the open field if you're fast enough and can get to his ankles. USC will be hoping to pounce him in the open field and he may not get a chance to break one and go forever. USC has faced adversity. OU has not. OU has never trailed in the 4th quarter nor have they trailed for very long in the second half. USC has had to fight back from huge deficits. That's why USC will win. So if you're pulling for OU tell us why USC will win. If you're pulling for USC tell us why OU will win.

Is that the order he thinks they are going to go in? Cedric Benson #1 and Ronnie Brown #2? I didn't even think Benson would go Top 10 b/c he's such an underrated performer sometimes(notice i didn't say all the time). Who is going to be #1 this year?

Yeah we'll have egg on our face but you won't have to worry about us in the title game for a couple of years. Honestly we're losing like 18 starters and the only offensive weapons we'll have back are Adrian Peterson and Travis Wilson. So it's not like we're going to be in a position to play for the title until probably 2007 or so. Sure we'll win 10 games every year and go to a BCS bowl or the Cotton Bowl those years but I doubt we won't escape without at least 1 loss.

Actually most people in Miami do like OU. Don't ask me why. I think it's b/c we played in the Orange Bowl so much and USC is kind of like an outsider from the West Coast. I think the place will be jacked for OU. And yeah we deserved the 2000 title. We were the only undefeated team and we embarassed FSU and their Heisman QB.

*thumbs up* Haha! You know what though? They're saying b/c of what's happened with the Orange Bowl and OU in the past that most of the people that live in Miami are pro-OU. Which means that most people from Miami going will probably rooting for OU. And OU supposedly has like 46,000 fans there. We might have homefield. It's still weird to have OU as the underdog to me though. Even though nobody seems to treat them like that.

Leinart and White should line up at Linebacker so we can actually see Heisman Winner vs. Heisman Winner. Haha!

If SC wins, is there a possibility of you having an Anglesault-like meltdown? If it's on a BS call? Hell yes. If OU plays like shit and gets blown out? I will have a meltdown on their punk asses. If they lose a tough close game? Nah I'll be congratulatory of USC. If they blow out USC or win? You all better hide.

Me and Slasher have a bet. If USC wins I have to put his pic of Leinart in my avatar. If OU wins he has to put a pic of Jason White in his avatar.

Auburn did alright in this game but I dunno if they can make claim to the National Title just yet.

I'd heard Jammal Brown would go in the Top 10. I doubt he'd be Robert Gallery #2 and go really high but I heard Top 10. Question. If you have a really good team like The Patriots? When they draft someone are they more drafting for the future down the road as opposed to right now like some of the lower teams are doing? B/c teams like The Pats may just have everyone they need right now. Still though I think The Eagles need to draft a good wideout. I mean it wouldn't be smart to do everything in your power to try and get Mike Williams. But get someone good to compliment TO and Westbrook.

I'm just liking the possibility of so many of my boys going in the first round. According to Mel Kiper Jr. Jammal Brown, Mark Clayton, and Dan Cody are all going in the first round and probably Vince Carter and Mark Bradley as well. As for the Eagles. It'd be nice if they picked up another talented wideout. Mike Williams will not be available for them so I'm not sure. I'd have to look at the list of WR's coming out.

I want VT to win but after watching Auburn play it's so hard to think they won't win.

That could've been some of it. But still when you say "I am the only man to win in Norman in 6 years" it sounds impressive. Plus like I said. He's got the recruiting thing in his favor.

This is the way I see it with Miles. 1) He's the only coach to beat Bob Stoops twice. 2) He's the only coach to win in Norman in the 6 years that Stoops has been coaching at OU. So the fact he's able to repeatedly take it to a Top 5 team like that every year shows he knows something about what he's doing on the sidelines. 3) He's been able to recruit good talent against OU and Texas. He should have no trouble in Louisiana and Mississippi getting good players. So it's a good deal for LSU.

Texas has got to play at Ohio State? God damn they might(probably will) lose that game. They're losing some good defensive players and Cedric Benson and Ohio State looks to be stacked.

Dammit, now I have to go back on my word... Given that I haven't said WORD ONE about who will win the game or by how much, with the exception of my pick in Bored's contest, I'll take that retraction right now. In fact, I'll go one better: If you can find me one statement where I said OU would get blown out in the Orange Bowl, or that OU wasn't worthy to be in the game, since the matchup was announced, I will accept a full and complete banning from this forum. Sass and Al, I apologize for my past few posts in this thread, but I'm fed up with objectivity getting shit on in this forum. Where have you given OU credit? Where have you given them a dime of credit? In all the weekly college fb threads you and everyone else were always jumping down OU's throats and going on about how they weren't good enough to be #2. And in that Orange Bowl thread there were tons of people all over them. I'm not going to go searching through old posts b/c I'm at work and I know a customer will walk in as soon as I start looking. But show me where you have given them any credit. Everyone seems to think USC is better with no more justification than "The Big XII sucks. You like OU so I don't like them in spite of you."(that was Mike SC). So once again I'm done talking about it until Tuesday. Slasher I'd love to talk to you though. Give me an AIM.

I am absolutely sick to death of this statement. Sick of it. Show me all the posts in this folder where I don't give OU any credit. I want the proof, and I want it right now, or I want you to retract this statement and shut the hell up about it. This will be my last post in this thread...probably for good. Show me where you give them credit. I have seen a small compliment here and there but nobody besides me, Slasher, Hogan Made Wrestling, and Secret Agent have given them any of the credit they are due. The rest of you will pretty much say "OU is good but USC will eat them for lunch. OU has this this and this fault but USC has barely any if any at all." And that's pretty much the view everyone in this folder takes. Show me where you have given them as much credit as USC and I'll retract my statement. But you can't b/c you all keep predicting a blowout.
