Tech was better than everyone thought and Cal was worse. Plain and simple. It's obvious the Pac 10 isn't as good as everyone thinks and the Big XII is better than everyone thought. Especially the South which some people here are saying is overrated. Of course, pending today and tomorrow's games but so far I have the Big XII South at 1-1 and the Pac 10 at 2-1(Oregon State and Arizona State both won). Also last year both the Pac 10 and Big XII South went 2-3 in their respective bowl games. Just to offer a view using numbers I'm a Big East fan but only follow Boston College so I'll probably start cheering the ACC or wherever they are headed next season. Actually the Pac 10 is at 2-2. UCLA lost to Wyoming and Cal lost to Tech. The Big XII overall is 3-1 and we'll know what's going on after today. Kingof909 you can't use who this person and that person beat to say that one team is better than another. I think it was Edwin that had that argument. If he'd like to repeat it that'd be cool. But by your logic. A very mediocre Wyoming team beat a UCLA team that came close to the upset. Cal lost to Texas Tech and Tech got plain beat down by OU and Texas but Cal nearly beat USC so that means OU and Texas are better than USC. See I can use that logic on you to 909. Guys on College Gameday are saying Texas is going to embarass Michigan.

Well on this night at least Tech was a better team. They made Cal's defense look like a JV squad. And that maligned Tech defense? They beat Cal as well. Tech knew that if Arrington ran on them they would lose. So they scored quickly and it forced Cal to have to throw rather than run to conserve time. And that's right where Tech had them. I like what they said on ESPN.com. It said "When the Game was over: when Cumbie lined up behind center" As soon as Tech scored it was pretty much obvious how the game was going to turn out. It was all downhill for Cal. Even being up 14-7 I think they knew Tech was going to go crazy on offense. Tech was better than everyone thought and Cal was worse. Plain and simple. Doubtful. I knew there'd be excuses for Cal. Hey I could say OU experienced a let down after a tough conference title loss last year. But they just got beat by a better team. Apparently the same thing happened to Cal. They got beat by a better team. Tech already said that they showed no fear against Texas and OU and they think that those two teams are better than Cal. And I think they proved it.

Hey if they lose a close game and look good doing it they are still doing better than Cal did.

I think A&M and Texas will take there respective opponents behind the woodshed and deliver a beating. Hey if Tech could whip the holy shit out of Cal why can't they? And I have to work till 6. Luckily I work at Radioshack and can watch these games but it still sucks to watch them at work.

Because if your team beat these teams in the conference your team looks so much better when the conference does really good in bowl games.

Unfortunately for the Pac 10 fans(fortunately for the anti-pac 10 fans) the good teams in the Pac 10 are going down(Cal and UCLA).

If I had ended up going to Louisville I'd have been at that game. No doubt in my mind. But since I didn't I can just stay home and clap politely. Haha.

LOUISVILLE WINS! That was a crazy ending. The nations longest win streak comes to an end and OU's record from the 50's is still safe. Haha that's all I really care about.

Texas Tech actually said that they didn't think Cal was as good as OU and Texas and they said they showed no fear against either one of those teams so they weren't scared of Cal. And well I guess they proved it in that game.

Wow the Pac 10 picks up a bowl win. Making them 2-2. USC can either give them a winning or losing bowl record. If A&M takes it tomorrow the Big XII has a winning record despite what Texas and OU do.

Lefors is having trouble getting something together now. This game is crazy.

Spoke too soon......Louisville comes roaring back. 14-10 and it's still the first quarter.

Wow so far the score in the Liberty Bowl is only 10-7. I was expecting it to be like 14-14 or something like that at the end of the first quarter.

Wow the Big Ten is no 2-0 in conference play. May have been an underrated conference.

Damn I really want to play this game but I'm afraid b/c I'm also playing Halo 2. I'm afraid that if I start playing KOTRII I won't be able to stop and I will forget about Halo 2.

And Minnesota is beating up on Alabama as we speak. That'd make the Big Ten 2-0 in bowl games. Perhaps the Big Ten was underrated this season? Remember there sure were a lot of undefeated and 1-loss teams in this conference until they got to conference play. Hmmm....... Anyways I honestly don't think Cal should make any excuses. They were flat out beat and I think Tech was better than them. Had this been the Cal that played USC then sure they probably would've won. But on this night they were not as good as Texas Tech. Don't forget though that Tech was the 3rd best team in a very tough division and what's turning into an overall tough conference after watching this bowl season so far.

I was waiting for Kotz to tell me why Tennessee was going to whoop A&M. As a matter of fact Kotz I want your analysis on this game. I don't know much about Tennessee this season, except I love Rocky Top, so I'd like to get a fans perspective on how they're going to do in this game with all the injuries and what not.

Who knew Cal wouldn't show up. Shouldn't of been suprised UCLA choked. Dorrel really deserved that extension. Well it wasn't a complete chokejob by Cal. I think it was Tech playing really good and maybe as they were saying on ESPN just being plain better than Cal.

Yeah yeah me too. But I'm trying to be optimistic and not be doom and gloom about the situation. But anyways where was I? Oh yeah.....score one for the Big XII! Prove that the South is the best!

Well the money situation pissed me off at first, but now I realize that I would've been in a $40,000 hole debt wise after graduating from there as an undergrad. And since I'm planning on going to law school in 2006, thats going to cost a lot too. The school I'm at now is not that bad, its in the Top 5 for Public Liberal Arts Colleges, I just wish the money came through for Ohio State last year. And your mom sent applications out for you? Same happened to me, which is why I went to a different school. I filled out the one for OU and sent it out. I told her I wasn't interested in any other schools. She asked if I would consider anywhere else. I just said Louisville. And I can't even think why to this day. She asked if I would consider anywhere else and I said no. So she took the initiative to go send off some more applications incase OU didn't take me.

Would you have had the same fanboyness had you went to Texas? And you wanna hear something funny, I know you hate Ohio State......I almost went to Ohio State last January. I got accepted there, but financing going there fell through. I'm glad you almost got to go to a good university. I'm sure it would've been top notch education. I just don't like there football program. No I was never going to go to Texas. It was one of the schools my mom sent an application to. The only two schools I ever seriously considered were OU and Louisville. And I've been an OU fan since I was a wee-tyke. You kind of get that living 20 minutes away from the school.

I said I like Cal. I'm not a diehard fan of Cal. I liked them enough to want them to win the Pac 10. I liked them enough to know they got screwed. Then they fucking went and whined and it pissed me off. Plus they aren't in the Big XII and I will pull for a Big XII team over ANYONE. So I'm happy the Big XII is doing good. Now if I was running around saying that Cal was my fav and I loved Cal above all else and I was wearing Cal t-shirts and stuff you may have a case. But as of right now you don't. I said I liked them this year and wanted them to do good until they started whining and then I got pissed. So get over it. Nothing fairweather about that. Bored didn't tag shit. I'm glad the Pac 10 took another hit and the Big XII grabbed another win.
