I'm not, I took the Vikings. I thought Childress actually had half a brain in his head. Pro-bowl offensive line + pro-bowl monster jesus running back = run the ball. I thought even someone with half a brain could figure that out. But, I guess I sort of understand where Childress was coming from. If he just tries to ride Peterson, then he'll probably ride him into the ground because teams will stack the box and kill Peterson dead. I keep wondering if Peterson's injury prone-ness is because his whole college career and so far in his pro-career he's been given the ball a gajillion times and forced to run into 8-9 guys.

I haven't been this excited watching an Eagles game in a long time. The offense just looks great going down the field on the first two drives. By god their are receivers actually OPEN!

She sat there staring at the screen and they kept showing replay after replay and she got up and went to the bathroom and yelled "Do they have to keep showing it?"

Joe Rogan really drove me crazy jumping all over Dong Kim and touting Matt Brown the whole fight. Then of course has to jump on the mic after the fight and go on about how the decision is controversial and then tell Brown he thought he won the fight. I really wish they'd replace him with an announcer that doesn't play favorites.

And yet it's not retarded to proclaim a Conference USA team #1 in the nation after TWO games? I mean let's be real here. Virginia Tech was never going to win many games with Glennon as starting quarterback, and I believe West Virginia's success was partly Rodriguez. They weren't going to be as good as last year. There's nothing here that tells me they can beat a team like Oklahoma, Georgia, USC, LSU, Florida, etc. If they met in a bowl game.......

Well OU came out and jumped up 14-0 and made it look like they were going to roll Cincy. Of course it's never that easy for me. Cincy made it a game into the first half of the third quarter, but after Giylards kick return OU just put a hearty ass whipping on Cincy. They should've won 52-20, but Cincy decided to go for a TD with like :02 left and cut it to 52-26. Whatever, I was thoroughly impressed with OU on those first two scoring drives and the entire second half. The second quarter left me completely underwhelmed, but if they can play like they did at any other time in the game then they should be pretty damn good. As for ND, man they still suck. And forget BYU as a BCS buster, ECU's looking good.

Well my team will be squaring off against the Cincy today. I think a ton of OU fans are overlooking this team that won 10 games last year and returns everyone. I mean, there's not a lot of teams (if any) better than OU on their homefield so that may be where a lot of it is coming from. But, the spread is 21 points. I just don't see OU winning by that much at all.

Random musing: If I could die and come back as a 5-star football recruit I would not go play for my favorite team. I'd commit to Oregon just so I could wear the uniforms.

USC gets #1 for beating up on a really really bad Virginia team? Then again, if they beat Ohio State there's nobody to take that #1 away until the title game. So I guess it's whatever, they were going to be No. 1 at some time or another. If OSU can't handle SEC speed I don't see how they can handle USC speed.

Well I bought a new Toshiba 46 inch LCD 1080p TV. However, my cable box is saying everything is being broadcast to me in 1080i. I know 1080p only works on blu-ray but I figured ESPN would be in 720p. Also does the X-Box 360 not do 1080p?

So I'm going to buy a new HDTV. The one I have right now is an HD tube TV (i got it because it was cheap) and if I'm not mistaken it only does 1080i. All the ones at Best Buy that I can afford are advertised as 720p. I know there's a debate as to which is better, but if I buy one will it display both? Which do you guys think is better? Also (i know this part belongs in the video games forum) but when I get the new TV and I set my X-Box 360 display settings should I set them on 1080i or 720p?

So apparently OU was trying not to score in the second half. I never thought I'd see Bob Stoops take mercy on someone. The first Saturday of college football is over and I'm sad. Enterprise. It really depends on what region you are for the pricing. Ours is 14 a day for insurance customers (29 for the full coverage) and 16 a day for retail (31 for full coverage). For some reason there's a lot of accidents in this area, but I hear in some parts of Texas the damn thing is only like 9.99 a day. I always say "If this was 7-10 bucks a day it'd be soooo much easier to sell." The funniest thing is the people that have been in wrecks and the other persons insurance is paying for the rental. They only pay for the actual car rental. But, people think they should have everything given to them because they were bumped into at McDonalds or whatever. I've had people flip out and say they aren't paying for gas because the other person hit them or that their insurance isn't covering it's the person who hit them. Of course it's your insurance because you are driving the car. But, people don't seem to get that. I also love cash customers. We have certain steps and qualification requirements if you're trying to rent a car with just cash. Some people flip out over it. One lady said "I used to be able to walk in with 50 bucks and I'd be able to leave with a car!" I guess I just rent from the wrong places, it's always around 25 when I've rented. I haven't had any problems with Enterprise myself, but when some friends of mine rented a car from Enterprise for our trip to Wrestlemania XIX the conversation went like this: "And would you like us to pick you up?" "Oh I hadn't thought of that. Actually that'd be really helpful. Yes please." "Oh, well we'd really prefer if you didn't have us pick you up. We're understaffed that day." ".........then why the FUCK did you just offer it?" That's kind of crappy. If their area manager had heard that they'd be in a shit-load of trouble. I hate my companies yes mentality. It's like we have to say yes no matter what. Mainly we are just trying to get them in the door. I have a guy call "I want to reserve a fullsize car for later on in the day." My boss says "Do it. Book the deal! We'll have a car by then." Even if there are no cars sitting on the lot. A fullsize car doesn't get returned, but a truck does! So the guy shows up "I have a fullsize truck for you!" And then that just causes a world of trouble. I hate that. Or the people who's insurance is renting them the car and they demand something comparable to their car. I had a lady who drove a fucking Porsche. I don't have anything comparable to that! She threw a fit when I told her I didn't have another sports car. And I hate when people have a reservation at another Enterprise and they come to mine. "Well they didn't have what I wanted. My reservation is there though, but I decided to come here." *I look at my reservation list and see I have 3 cars and like 10 reservations.* "I'm sorry, I'm all booked up." "But I had a reservation!" "With the other Enterprise, not with me." "Well just move it over here!" "And bump the 10 people that had one in front of you out of the way?" "Yes."

I get a bonus if I sell 50% damage waiver on Mondays or Fridays. And that's what pisses me off about my job. I hate having to push that stupid damage waiver. I mean, yeah it's probably a good idea to get because it means you're not responsible for the rental car at all. But, we're required to get 3 no's from customers. So I'm sitting here pushing this thing on them when they want to use their insurance. I wouldn't care if our promotions weren't based on those numbers. It's like, I hate the customers that don't take it. Fuckers are costing me a promotion! Of course if you tried to tell the company that they'd just say "Well it's not their fault they didn't take it, it's your fault for not selling it."
