What was the point of this? Because I felt like telling it. We're talking about the 49ers possibly getting a new coach and I made mention as to why I hope they get a good coach. If you don't like it then read past it don't start shit over it.

I demand the usual useless facts! The masses want it!

Man my taste in comedy must just be out there! I love Jerry Seinfelds comedy act! That's one of my favorite parts of Seinfeld is when he's telling jokes!
-
I've heard this complaint before from Michigan fans. I'm hearing it so much as a matter of fact I'm starting to believe that they do have a shitty coach. Tell me more.

It gives me a heavy heart when I think about what the 49ers have become. When I was a little kid I was a huge 49ers fan. I loved Joe, and Jerry, and Steve and so did my mom. Montana went to KC and my mom followed. I being a kid and liking whatever my parents like developed an affinity for the Chiefs. Then one day I saw Randall Cunningham in an Eagles jersey have a great game and I was like "I like that guy. I like this team." And from then on I was an Eagles fan. But I still remember my love for the 49ers and in the back of my head I'm thinking "Come on be good again!' and it just doesn't look like it's going to happen!

*pats you on the back* If I had to pick one team that I like in the Big Ten I'd say Michigan. I'm sorry.

I could live with Peterson on the 2nd team this year actually seems how he'll probably be first team for the rest of his career. And on top of that I feel bad for Benson b/c he's had a great career but he always seems forgotten to me. I also think it's dumb that we only get one tight end on each team.

I think Jay Leno is hilarious...

Does anyone here find Friends funny? Anyone? Bueller? To me, Everybody Loves Raymond just isn't funny. I also find Futurama overrated. It is funny, but it's not a comedic masterpiece. I enjoy Friends. And Seinfeld. Just go the DVD's to.

Oh yeah. See in my Acting for Non-Majors class two guys did the scene from True West where he's transcribing his outline and he goes on with the contrived story about chasing each other and the guy in the play running out of gas. It was pretty good. The guys in my class actually did it better than the guys we saw in the actual play. When he freaks out about the crickets the guy in my class threw a chair and broke the classroom wall. That was cool. And he was carrying a bottle of budlight and when he said "He realizes it's the guy who's wife he's....uh-huh" he puts the beer bottle on his crotch and begins to hump the air. They didn't do this in the play we saw and I thought it was a better touch. Oh and you know what? I don't have a problem with the trucks. What I really want actually is a good 80's model Chevy.

Ok I didn't really know what to call them. But what does everyone think of the modern "cowboy" attitude that I've seen around. I mean I know this isn't just a southwestern thing. These guys are on TV to. I'm not talking about guys that walk around in tight jeans with a cowboy hat on. I'm talking about guys with the redneck attitude that think they can do whatever, they're always kind of grungy, they're always drinking or dipping and just have this hot shit attitude about them. But it's not like a cocky attitude. And these people don't have to be from the Southwest. They can come from anywhere. The reason I ask is that I saw a play tonight by Sam Sheperd called "True West" about a couple of guys with this attitude. Someone else may be able to describe it better than me. I mean Kid Rock thinks he has this attitude and style down.... But I was just wondering what everyone on the board thinks of these people? And if anyone is one of these people? I mean do you know anybody that you could see being in a western?

Ok they did this list this morning on my local sports radio station about the Top 10 dorkiest sports personalities. Of course it was more localized since it's in Oklahoma talking about how Jason White just looks like a dork(which i agree) and stuff like that but they brought some National Guys into it to. So I was wondering who everyone thinks are some dorky sports personalities? Who do you see on TV and say "if I went to High school with that guy I'd kick his ass" or you're just thinking "Jesus shut up you're embarassing yourself" b/c he just keeps doing or saying something dorky? I've got a couple. Like Peyton Manning. Why do I have the feeling that when everyone on Tennessee's team was out partying in college he was at home doing something nerdy? Plus the hair......I mean come on. I'd also after Saturday's Heisman proceedings like to throw Billy Simms on that list as a huge dork. I mean as soon as they announce the canidates he starts throwing out "Boomer!" only with him it's not Boomer it's "Boomah!" and then as soon as they announce Leinart he says "I guess I can't say Boomah no more!" And then of course I had him and White yelling it back and forth at one another last year at the trophy presentation and I just had to look away. Now that's dorky. So who do you think is a huge dork and tell us why. This should be a funny topic.

The Big XII rejected it in a split vote 6-6 so the NCAA would have to make the ruling. Rumor is that the Big XII did it on purpose so that the NCAA would rule on it and set the precedent instead of them in case it blows up one day.

*DISCLAIMER* This is not an OU post. This is a post about the NCAA that involves and OU player. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=1946318 Check this out. I personally think he should be banned. I mean he didn't not compete b/c of his supposed "illness" he didn't compete because his ass was tossed off of the team. He's fucking gotten drunk and beat someone up 3 times. Including sending his High School friend to the hospital at the beginning of this season! So basically the NCAA is now deciding that alcoholism and anger issues are grounds for medical redshirt. I think this is a dangerous precedent b/c now people can get angry or drunk and kick someone's ass get kicked off the team say that they made a mistake and apply for medical redshirt. And what's with giving players who've been kicked off the team another chance? I suppose he's been granted the extra year but I guess it's Stoops' decision to allow him back on the team? I just don't like this precedent.

Yea, the make-up definitely makes him look very...old. Check the massive wrinkles on his face everytime he smiles. Looks OK, but not great. I'll probably end up seeing it anyways though. Really? I think he looks really young. My mom commented that they had him looking like he was in his 20's.
-
That sucks. I'm Irish to(my last name is O'Dell) but I can still get drunk. Just b/c my tolerance hasn't been built yet b/c I don't drink to terribley much and when I do I only drink beer. But I can drink a lot of beer.

Eh.....I still consider Oklahoma to be more midwestern and be filled with more rednecks than cowboys. I still think there's a difference between a straight up redneck and a cowboy. Of course we get the "fancy" cowboys here. You know the ones that don't actually work on a farm or ranch or something like that. They work at a law firm or something equally normal and then put on their tight wranglers, black hate, cowboy boots, and some kind of god awful shirt tucked in and then they get a huge belt buckle with their name on it or something and go down to a western club to line dance. Thank god I have never stepped foot in one of those and never will. While I've never actually worn a cowboy hat and boots I wouldn't be adverse to wearing them. I'm usually seen wearing normal fit jeans, vans and some sort of: t-shirt, thermal shirt, button up shirt, or a sweater. So as you can see I'm not into the cowboy gear. But I think I would put on a pair of normal fit jeans, cowboy boots, a hat, and a flannel shirt(untucked). I used to wear flannels all the time but haven't in about 3 years. I should get some. IDRM....would you have to be really drunk while committing this act or do you thin you could do it sober? If you are going to get drunk just down a whole bottle of whiskey to top off the cowboy sex theme.
-
Please tell me when you have the hat and boots on you're wearing clothes as well.
-
Hell yeah I agree. I remember when OU played in the Great Alaska Shootout. A couple players got arrested for using fake ID's or something to try to get into a club and got their asses thrown in jail. Coach Kelvin Sampson paid the bail so they didn't have to spend the night in jail and they could leave on time and he may be in trouble for that! The NCAA is to hard on this money issue. I may be a little bit biased though b/c I hate Dusty. I've met the guy, I know people that know the guy and he's an ass. And he does have a bad temper. And I was glad his ass was gone.
-
I'm just trying to picture Karl Malone in cowboy boots now.....and how the fuck did she notice those immediately?
-
Have you ever seen how expensive a good real cowboy hat is? Those things can run you 100 easy.
-
Well Verne you said that Stoops told him he could play again. Stoops hasn't decided if he can play yet. I honestly think he should be forced to go through detox. I mean I guess the NCAA wants to give everyone a second chance but honestly this is like his 3rd or 4th chance.
-
I honestly don't think Stoops will allow him back on the team. He's big on being a family man and having values or something and he generally sticks to his guns on something like this. I think if anything Dusty will have to check into rehab over the summer if he wants back on. I think Stoops should send his ass to rehab. Make him pay for the detox himself too. Still now that the NCAA has said it can happen they should be allowed to grant the medical redshirts to anybody that gets drunk and tossed off of a team.
-
Why are you trolling? This has nothing to do with OU. The guy won't even get to play this year if he gets to play at all. Stop fucking trolling people. You all want me to cool it with OU but you keep starting shit. Stop it. This is about the precedent the NCAA set. Jesus christ. Okay. I'll comment on it. I think its shit that Stoops is letting Dvoracek back on the team, but its the nature of the beast. Dvoracek is a good Defensive Tackle, and gives them the best chance to win. Bullshit? Yes. Surprising? No. Stoops never said he was letting Dusty back on the team. The NCAA just said he could play an extra year b/c he was "injured" for being a fucking alcoholic with anger issues. I think the NCAA made a bullshit call. On top of that this is after the Big XII said no!
-
Verne you're quit the college fb fan. What do you think about this? Do you think alcoholism and anger managment are grounds for a medical redshirt? Especially after someone was tossed off of the team?
