Yeah and nothing can have a normal animation style anymore. It's either faux-anime style where everyone is really skinny and have big eyes or just completely weird and out there where nobodies bodies make sense or the backgrounds looks totally off. You're right about Batman TAS and those other shows. They had a more normal animation style and were just better shows all around. It also irritates me how Looney Tunes is NEVER on anymore. Yeah I know it's over 50 years old, but damn those were some good cartoons. I remember the days of June Bugs on Cartoon Network.

I saw that new Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon. I hate how every new cartoon has gotta have that faux-anime style. Whatever happened to a good old American cartoon? Because anime got popular everybody feels the need to try to recreate it? And it never looks as good as anime, it looks like a cheap knock-off.

    UFC 85 - Bedlam

Ok, no need for spoilers. The show has had both it's PPV airings. I actually really liked this show. I think it was because some guys I didn't like (Vera, Marquardt) lost. Although both losses were dubious so they weren't all that good. I had to take issue with Mr. Nate the Great saying he wants a rematch with Silva and he knows he can beat him. Hello? I'm sorry but I didn't think you looked all that great the first time you two fought! Even when you had him on his back he seemed to be in more control. I heard Nate say he'd never lose to Silva again. That's a big claim. I remember Lutter saying the same thing. I think Silva would still hurt them both.

ICP fans give their baby a Jullago funeral.

Grew UP to be? The hell? How can anyone above the age of 16 even listen to ICP? How can anyone above the age of 13 "act like a juggalo"? Every one of them that I've met has been a fat white kid that's about 19 or 20 and either dropped out of HS or finished limping across the finish line to graduation. And most of them went to job corp or whatever the fuck that is. And they walk around acting as hard as possible and I was "seeing" a girl that had a bunch of friends that were juggaloes and when I broke it off with her they made some of the stupidest threats I think I've ever heard.

2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics

I'm just wondering how it's going to affect him in game 2. Last night he was pumped full of adrenaline and they wrapped it and he went out on an emotional high. I'm just wondering if it's going to start swelling or get sore and affect him in game 2 when he doesn't have all that stuff going for him. Any word on Perkins? I don't think he ever came back into the game.

2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics

We're having tornado weather here, so I had to play the whole "We're sorry to interrupt the game, but....." business for most of the first half before the stupid ass TV station got wise and put the game on one of their other channels. Fun game to watch, I think Pierce was trying to get a little Willis Reed going there. He sure did energize the Celtics and the crowd when he returned. This was a good game, but I think game 2 will be the overall more telling game. I want to see how Jackson and LA respond, and I want to see what adjustments (if any) Doc makes. I'm just afraid of the Celtics winning game 1 and 2 and then losing 3 straight in LA and being totally demoralized for game 6 (thus all the lakers in 6 predictions from people). *PS* Funny weather story. The CBS affiliate here interrupted the final four to talk about severe thunderstorms (they weren't even tornadoes) and thus we missed a lot of both games. The actually issued a public apology on Sunday's newscast because they got so much hate mail and so many angry calls.

I'll agree. I'm pretty much from Flint, MI. Which is looked upon as one of the most violent cities in America. I've never had troubles there just checked. http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0921299.html #3 last year Detroit is #1. I've always heard bad things about Detroit, is that unfounded or is it true? I figured Tulsa would make it somewhere on there. And I'd heard about how bad Little Rock was before. I didn't think Little Rock was all that big, anybody been there or lived there? Can you shed some light on why it's so dangerous?

Because it sprawls it's small? Are you saying the downtown area is the only area that counts as far as city-size? Well I'm glad it didn't build on top of itself and become a giant mess like those cities mentioned. I prefer it sprawling out.

Hmmm, 7 ain't bad. Someone told me it was 3. Oklahoma City is really spread out. If you've ever been here you'll drive around and where you think you'd be in a suburb in a place like Dallas you're still in Oklahoma City. It's just a very large spread out city. Also, there's not farm land around the city. Another misconception that we're nothing but farmers here. I never said the city was the largest populationwise. Those cities you listed have huge populations. Population wise OKC is 30th. I guess that's better than dead last like most people probably think it is. Then again some ignorant people think we ride horses, fight indians and use the bathroom in outhouses.

Ah, another thing that angers me. People that have a preconceived misconception about a place because the media or somebody told them the place was crap or entertainment lambasts it despite not knowing what hte fuck it's talking about.
  11. So I didn't see a thread for this, and I didn't feel like pouring back through the rest of this thread to see if it's been mentioned. Anyway, Wanted sure looks like a load of shit. It appears to have nothing to do with the source material at all. It looks like it just shares a name. I hope it flops.

    Step Brothers

I watched the regular cut first and then the extended cut later. The extended cut really drags with the whole scene where he has his own show and he's married to Cheryl Teagues. It was a good thing that whole part ended up on the cutting room floor. In the regular cut he has his show and sings Walk Hard all goofy like, does the interview and then moves on. None of that extended mess with another wife and parties with 70's celebrities.

No you don't, you live in Oklahoma City. You can't be a big city if the two biggest things you're famous for are 1- A bombing 2- ... You live in a city. I mean a big city - New York/LA/Chicago/Dallas maybe... somewhere that would have a garment district. In downtown LA I could have gotten 3 suits (the whole shebang plus shoes) for $400. Good suits too. It isn't important, you didn't pay for it, but just know... if you gotta get a suit... don't pay that much unless it's Italian. Like, from Italy. Not "Pronto Uomo". It's the 3rd largest city in the country area wise....big enough. It's not as big as those cities but they're some of the largest in the country. It's still a big city despite what prejudice or misconceptions you have. To a dude!? When did I say that? Can't fiance refer to a female as well? What the hell am I supposed to call her? That broad I'm marrying?

    The Poulan Weedeater Offseason Bowl

ESPN.com has a couple of interesting articles up about 6 to 8-man HS football players. One kid was OU's first recruit for 2009 so that one grabbed my attention, and then there was another about 8-man football players in general. I thought it was kind of interesting just because I had my first exposure to 8-man football when I was covering HS football in SW Kansas. Most of the teams in my area were 8-man. The game was a lot different and the players were fast, but the thing that really stuck out to me was how small everyone was. Has anyone here ever played 8-man?

I still haven't played Gears, but my friend is going to let me borrow it as soon as I get back into my own place and have my HDTV set up. I'm at my parents right now and they only have an SDTV. I want to enjoy Gears in all it's glory.

I do live in a big city.......... Anyway I didn't really spend the money. Like I said, my fiance's grandma bought it. I thought it was expensive but she insisted we buy it here (i think she didn't want to run around and was ready to settle, she's loaded anyway so no biggie) so I let her buy it. I just feel kind of indebted to her now, and I don't like having that feeling.

2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics

It's part of the season long blacklist that ESPN has been pulling on the Celtics. Bastards! I'd forgotten there was even a team in Boston!

2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics

ESPN is showing the 1987 NBA Finals game 6. It's pretty cool to look back at it, especially because I was only 3 when this game happened. Funny thing though. They have a ticker running across the bottom of the screen talking about the teams and their history in the rivalry. When it gets to the Lakers it mentions they've won 14 titles and it mentions how many finals appearances they've had. When it gets to the Celtics it doesn't mention titles and only mentions finals appearances. Do they not want to mention the Celtics have won the most? I don't get it.

I bought two suits and tuxedo for less than that combined. Like decent shit too. You got hosed. It was at Men's Warehouse. I've known people that have spent more and people that have spent less. It's a good quality suit though. I have a friend that bought one from there (same brand) and he's loved it. But, still it was expensive. I didn't really pay for it though, my fiance's grandma got it for me as an early birthday/late graduation gift (even though i've been graduated from college for a year now).

There may be more to Shaq being fat than just him being lazy........ I haven't been able to go to practice either. I'm still working on getting on at the PD and I have to work a temporary job that conflicts with practice, and practice is damn far away from my folks house where I'm staying. I have been able to get to the gym though, but like I said earlier. Working out isn't my problem anymore, it's the way I eat and getting control of that.

    Step Brothers

I've loved John C. for a while now. He was great in Boogie Nights (yeah that was a while ago) and he was probably the best part of Talledega Nights. Oh and Walk Hard may be one of my favorite movies ever.

Well when buying a dress shirt you also have to take into account neck size and arm length. I don't need to be measured for a t-shirt.

    The Damaramu Gym-o-Rama

Has anyone found the heat to make them lethargic and not wanting to workout? It's been over 95 for the past week in Oklahoma. I did my police physical test Sunday and I had to run a mile and a half at 3:30 in that heat. Man, it sucked. I also did an insane amount of push-ups and sit-ups. I went to the gym Monday night and felt dead. I got through my workout but it was a very shitty one. So I think I'm going to rest today and hopefully hit it hard tomorrow, especially because it's leg day. Stupid heat. VX, you playing 7's or anything this summer?

The fact I just spent 672 bucks on a suit. I've never owned one before so I had to get everything: pants, jacket, shoes, belt, socks, shirt and tie. Why can't I find a $99 suit sale like on How I Met Your Mother when Barney became the Barney we know and love!? Then again the chick that did my measurements was absolutely smoking, so it wasn't all bad.
