It was kind of like "What is OutKast's musical genre?" because well Hey Ya was the first song I'd heard by them(i don't watch music channels or listen to the radio) and it didn't sound like Rap or R&B or well......anything. I fail to see how not knowing a slang term makes one a country bumpkin. I'm pretty sure there are plenty of people that live in the city or suburbs(which I do) that don't know that stuff either. You're generalizing and you've got me pegged wrong. Hell I don't think I've ever even met a so called "country bumpkin" or a "hick" in Oklahoma. I don't live in that area. But for some reason people think that that is all that Oklahoma is. Which is kind of stupid b/c there's about 5 more states that have more of that than Oklahoma. Like I said....we're like Kansas. And what does a DMX CD have to do with anything? APO told me that I was going to hate OutKast because I hate rap. I pointed out that I don't hate all Rap b/c I like DMX so therefore I may like OutKast. I fail to see how that's a cry of "I'm cool! I'm down!" It's more of a "I don't hate all rap. I didn't know what the hell throwback means. I was thinking more the style of the clothes. So I was trying to figure out what a throwback jersey was. I didn't know it was a term for another time. Which is beyond me to say "throwback". This is why I don't pay attention to this stuff because a lot of the current slang I just find incredibley dumb.
