Quiet, you. Bite me. Someone tell me who he is.

You've proven you're biased against OU on many occasions. Gee......my arguments seem to be correct in this situation. OU did have the most impressive season. Plain and simple cut and dried. You and BPS both seem to have a bias against OU. The media has a bias against the BCS(good reason to) and they've picked OU as there whipping boy for this argument. You'd have to be biased if you yelled "USC is #1 no matter what! They played the best football!" before the Sugar Bowl is even played. Because fact is they did put on a very impressive game last night. But looking at the season they were the weakest team of the 3 and they played the weakest team. It's pretty safe to say that USC on their best day couldn't be OU or LSU. And it's been said before by the media, who's poll you hold so dearly, "Pete Carol is happy! He gets to go for the national title and he doesn't have to go through OU or LSU!" plus I've heard many people say that OU and LSU have gotten the bum deal b/c they have to play one another which will be a more difficult challenge than facing USC. Out of the 3 teams USC posted the weakest numbers and was not as impressive. Plus they lost to an unranked team. You are just as biased against them as I am for them buddy. Because aside from "They couldn't win their conference" which I have destroyed you cannot come up with a good argument as to why OU is such a bad team. And when I do make an argument that you can't respond to you come up with a flamebait. You've lost....

Ok...who the hell is Agnes again? Was he popular over the summer when I didn't have a computer?
-
Yes but I also saw there ranking and season. Oh and......yes......OU.......did........have......the........most........impressiv e........season. HarleyQuinn posted the numbers. They had the most impressive wins. They remained undefeated the longest. If they were in any other conference they would've won it because they had a better record. They beat more quality opponents than USC did. They lost to a ranked team in a game that USC didn't have to play. So yes.....they had the most impressive season. Hell just looking at there numbers they had the most impressive season. And if you want to get technical then the K-State game could be considered post season making OU have the most impressive season period.
-
And K-State let them score again. Now they need 2 more touchdowns to catch up. They can do it...but they'd better get one of those before this quarter ends.
-
Pretty much. So then the point would stand that Texas was the best team that OU played this season.
-
Also K-State needs a stop here. They can't let Ohio State score again. Then it'd be even harder to come back.
-
Umm.......no. We're talking about at the time it happened. Texas was the best team IN THE SEASON that OU played. What happens in the post season isn't really a factor. By the way....Wazzu was really the only good team USC played. Meanwhile OU played 3-4 good teams. Hmm........
-
And OU has the most impressive single season of all teams in question. And I'd say that win over Texas was a lot more impressive.
-
No...no we can't. I'm looking forward to him bitching about it during the Humanitarian Bowl tommorrow. Gee...I wonder why. You guys ask for it by egging him on so if ya don't want to have him talk about OU then don't fucking egg him on. Morons Thank you Harley. I knew I wasn't the only one that saw the flamebaiting. Yes I talk about other things besides OU. But when it comes to college football and someone is talking about OU I will talk about them and defend them. I doubt I'd bring anything up during another bowl unless the announcers are going on bashing OU again and then a bunch of guys jump on here and are like "There's the real national champions! Not OU! OU sucks! WHOOO! Here that Dama!?"
-
Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this. But I think that college football was originally just an exhibition for the kids to play football and show off there skills. So they played the bowl games as kind of a reward at the end. But because the media has to have a national champion to everything they started bringing it up and deciding national champions. Now it's exploded into what it is now. I'm sure back in the day when college football was first coming around this wasn't intended.

Bullshit. Division II does it, just cut off two or three of the damn cupcake games every team schedules and play the playoff before the Christmas break. It's a bs argument and I'm tired of it. But they aren't going to do that. Looking at the system they have now they'd have to completely overhaul it to do that. And NOBODY is going to do that. Yes it can be done. But looking at the system they have now, which is what Stoops was doing, it can't be done. But they don't have to completely overhaul it. Use the BCS system to seed a 16 or 32 team playoff. If you must use the antiquated bowl system, then make each playoff game represent a bowl game. What's so difficult about that? It's not difficult at all. The difficult thing is getting the greedy guys in power to change the system.
-
No...no we can't. I'm looking forward to him bitching about it during the Humanitarian Bowl tommorrow. Thank you for that wonderful flamebaiting. That was something that was brought up a few pages ago and now you have to bring it up again and make a snide comment in the process. Asshole. Anyways....another TD by K-State. They're definetly in this game.

Yeah I'm a huge WWE fan and I can say wrestling is a joke now to. But you know what? I still like it and I still watch it. That's pretty much it. I like College Football and yes the system sucks ass. But I cannot do a damn thing to change it. And I enjoy the game to much to just say "I hate this system...it's a joke...I quit."

Plus I don't think I know enough about football, being a relatively new fan, to understand what all the plays mean and all the terms surrounding it. I just look at it and go "Wow...if he can get out there uncovered then I can give it to him....."
-
Yeah if OU beats LSU then they just beat the best team that the 3 of them faced and vice versa. Basically Anklelock you are jumping to giant conclusions. You are saying that USC is the best and that they won there game in the most convincing fashion and had the best bowl performance out of the 3.......BEFORE the other 2 have even played!!! How can you even justify what you are saying!? How can you even believe what you are saying!?
-
Yeah plus you said that K-State was the best team that OU played. They weren't. Texas was.
-
Oh and it still makes it look like OU was just playing shitty that night. Basing there loss in that game off the rest of the season and comparing it to the rest of the season it does look like a fluke. It does look like OU didn't play like OU. Now if they go out there on Sunday and get trounced soundly by LSU then yes.....they were overrated, yes they are the #3 team in the country, and no they aren't as good as LSU and USC. That's if they lose.
-
Actually Stoops made a good argument. This wouldn't be fair to the teams that go undefeated. What if Miami had to play an extra game in 2001? That's not right. Basically it's what we have and we're going to have to accept it, it wouldn't be fair to the kids to have to add another game or a few more weeks for playoffs. And it'd cut into school as it is. These are just kids that are in school. This isn't the NFL.
-
I watch hockey casually. I don't really know much about any of the teams so I don't root.
-
So am I supposed to be rooting against my normally hated rivals? I have to cheer for the Big XII though! Dammit......everyone I want to win loses. Let's take a look at my track record over the past few weeks. I want OU to win the Big XII. Doesn't happen. I want Michigan to win....doesn't happen. I want OSU to win....doesn't happen. I want The Patriots to lose...that's not happening. Jesus.....I'm a curse.
-
OREGON TRAIL! A great man named Krazy Karter once said it all.........HELL FUCKING YES!
-
And the drive fails. Maybe I spoke to soon.
-
Actually in the end it would seem that all 3 teams deserve to be in it. But in the end it'll come down to the win/loss record. The loser of the OU/LSU game goes 12-2 meanwhile the winner of that game and USC goes 13-1 and 12-1 respectively. Making them the 2 best.
