Yeah well...the saddest thing is when your team fucks up in a game that they SHOULD have won. By all means based on OU's performance they should've been all over K-State and destroyed them by 3 touchdowns or so. Instead they were destroyed by 4 touchdowns. I mean I did notice some blatant no calls by the ref's(there was some holding and pass interference that wasn't called and by god that was a first fucking down in the first quarter!!!) but still that didn't excuse the shitty performance that OU put up. They did exactly what was said they had to do to lose. Play like they haven't played all year. *shakes head in disgust* This is Oklahoma. Bombs blowing up buildings, tornado's, and sports teams that choke. Look at OU's basketball team...... Well, if it makes you feel any better, the last Oklahoma football title your team crushed Florida State into a fine powder and then sniffed them off the field. It's not like it has been a long time since OU has won the title. As for basketball, I'm a Florida State fan....they don't even see the tournament for goodness sake. Oklahoma is good in almost every sport, you really will be fine. Yeah they're good...but they choke in the end. God we need an NFL team...we almost had an NHL team...but the fuckers screwed it up...morons. I'm just dissapointed that they couldn't have the perfect season they wanted. And I'm even more dissapointed that Jason White isn't getting the Heisman more than likely. My heart is broken for that poor guy. As a guy that has spoken to him at school once or twice I must say that he is a hell of a nice guy and it's so sad that he doesn't get it.

And yet I still think I'm going to be sick over OU's loss. It'd be ok if it was like 35-31...but it was 35-7. Dear god.......*pukes*......to answer my above question......how do you deal with it long time sports fans? I think I'm going to go crazy, be sick, or cry. And you can bet if there was a K-State fan here right now in my prescence...I'd be on his ass like stink on shit.

I'll have to agree with that. I mean, I enjoy stories that start out kinda small [example, Squall, in the beginning, is just a student at a military school, hoping to pass a test] then get grander as you go along [...is grander a word? Prolly not] But, still....these enemies that just come out of the blue are very annoying. For instance, what's-her-name at the end of FF8. Not Ultimecia; the sorceress before that. Oh, Adel! Heh...I'm like writing at 2am so my brain isn't all there. Adel was just..ugh. It's, like, okay the enemies at that point are Seifer, Edea, Ultimecia, and now Adel? It was just confusing with the whole time compression thing. How is it bad? Personally, I think it's the best so far [haven't played much of X2]. It's, if I'm not mistaken, twice as long as 8 or 9, and it really pulled me into the story. Almost all the characters were interesting in their own right. Tidus - okay, maybe his voice acting made him sound too much like a bitch, but his story was interesting. Being found out he's a dream and all that. Plus, I liked the sub-story about how he hates his dad. He may hate him, but still wanted his love. Heh...getting too mushy...time to move on... When I get more awake, I'll prolly post more. Best so far? You obviously haven't played 6.

It was actually this post Think about it. There is no scenario that will make everyone happy. Oh and for those that have been watching sports much longer than me...how do you deal with it whenever your favorite team suffers a crushing defeat? Especially when you are being mocked for your fandom by everyone around you? How? I have yet to find a way to deal with it without wanting to punch out a fan of the offending team that beat yours.

This is moreso because the BCS has its ass saved by managing to still have an undefeated team when all is said and done. Imagine what would've happened in '00 or '01, if the undefeated team lost in the big title game to the 1-loss team chosen by the BCS (FSU, Nebraska), and the 1-loss team that got punked out of that game (Miami, Oregon) could have been voted as AP champions. Well, this is essentially what we're seeing now, except even worse, since there is no undefeated team now. There are three 1-loss teams, two will go to the big game and one will be on the outside, and if the outside team wins their bowl game they could be voted AP champion, and thus we have our nightmare scenario. I'm saying OU beats LSU and everyone cries foul for USC. Then next year it'd just be badass if OU and USC went undefeated all season and finished the controversy off. This is actually the first year that I've set down and watched the season beginning to end and haven't picked up in the middle or taken off halfway through and came back at the end. And dammit.....I think I'm losing hair and getting an ulcer.

I've heard that it does, but so far, haven't really noticed a diff. Or is it something you have to adjust?] If the Tactics main chara was on here, he'd get my vote, hands down. The game was great, in terms of strategy and all, but the story made..no..sense. Well, to me anyway. It's like This Guy was fighting That Guy, but then swerve~! he's on That Guy's side all along....it's like *blink*Huh?*blink*. But the bit where the main chara shows the princess how to 'whistle with grass' was most amusing for all the wrong reasons. You have to adjust it. Go into the menu and put the textures on smooth.

Dude, the BCS has yet to fail to produce a national champion that everyone agrees on. There hasn't been a split national champion since the 1997 season, the one that forced the BCS to be instituted. I personally like the BCS because of the annual shitstorm that surrounds it as well as, as I said, how it hasn't failed yet. Yeah that sucks that nobody can agree on who the real national champion is. At least in the NFL you know who the champion is. Anyways...this was all summed up in my post 7 ones above this. Dammit people quit no selling me and read it. I am actually thinking about it rationally now. I've come down from my OU fanboy defeat mode.

Yes I agree that is a huge problem. So if OU beats the best that the PAC 10 or Big 10 has to offer.....then does that mean that they are the best? See that's my problem. It doesn't matter which one of them OU beats(if they do mind you) there will still be an outcry. And there would still be a minor outcry if OU wasn't even in the game after there season dominance. See that's what I'm saying. 3 teams...only 2 can go. There's no way to decide who the best out of all 3 is. Which means if any one of them win....they still don't have a leigitimate claim. Which absolutely sucks. I think I summed up my feelings the best in my previous post though.

Hmm...but the thing is. OU is more than likely going to the National Title game. I will agree that if you don't win the Conference title you shouldn't really go to the championship. However they are probably going to the championship. That was even said before this game started. So then what does everyone have to say if they win the National Title? Will it be complete bullshit? Will nobody recognize them as the national champions? What if they walk all over there opponent and dominate them? Then what? That's what I want to know. If people will still be saying they don't deserve it. Will the team they walked all over deserve it more? Or will the left out 3rd party deserve it over both...despite the fact that nobody knows if they could've even beaten both teams? What if OU goes and gets trounced by LSU? DO we say they're the best even though they didn't beat USC? Or is USC still the best despite not beating LSU or OU? Same thing if USC goes and trounces OU. Same thing if OU goes and trounces either one of them. See this whole thing is a fucking mess! I fucking hate it as much as you guys! And it fucking pisses me off that MY team may get a controversial national championship. Dammit....I wanted them to win...but not with a sledgehammer shot. So what now? What do we do now? Do we remember 2003 as the year with no national champion? Or do we remember it as the year where there were 3 teams....no winner?

ALL THREE OF THEM have legit claims. Only two of them get the shot. To quote the late, great Gorilla Monsoon, "What a miscarriage of justice!" Yes that's what I'm saying. They all 3 do have claims and it would be a travesty if ANY of them were left out. But 1 of them does have to be left out. However people seem to hate OU so much that if they were left out nobody would be crying fowl like they are about USC and LSU. Why is beyond me. Because yes they lost the conference but they dominated the rest of the conference throughout the season. They had a bad game. Everyone has bad games. Unfortunately there bad game was at the WORST possible time. However they still dominated like no other team did.

I will still say that OU has a legitimate claim based on there season to be in the national championship game. There is no changing my mind on that. However should they go into that game as #1? No...as Number 2. I haven't been watching long enough...how did we do things before the BCS? And was there controversy? Ah well back to the NFL where things are at least a little more fair....

I will never agree with only the polls being used after voters intentionally screwed Michigan to give Nebraska a piece of the National Title. Remember undefeated Michigan was moved down to 8th by several so Nebraska could gain enough ground to have a piece. Yes the BCS is flawed because it has bad formula's. The human polls are flawed because they have bias. To deny that is just well...you're blind.

Well like I said..if OU wins the national title I will be content. But there's always a catch...just like in 2000. But I hope USC goes to the national title game. And I hope OU beats them soundly. Then everyone will shut up and quit saying OU isn't the best team this season. The numbers from the season and from the championship will back them up. The one I am crying for though is Jason fucking White. I feel so sorry for that guy. This is the year that he finally gets to play. He's injured the past 2 years. He comes out this year and fucking shows the country he's the best quarterback. He just fucking played his heart out and he has the best season he can. He carries the entire fucking team on his back this year...and then 1 fucking game. 1 fucking game where they mess up destroys Jason's perfect season. 1 game ruins his Heisman chances and his hopes of a national title. I feel so sorry for him. To say you don't feel for the guy...well you have no heart.

The thing is that they say that the bowls win more money than a playoff would. Here's what you do. Name the playoff games as a bowl OR just send the losers in the playoffs to bowl games. That way you still have bowls but you still have a decided way to determine the best.

Well damn....doesn't look like K-State beating OU is so bold.
