The back switch is what turns it off. If you flip it on the system is in standby. To turn it completely off you switch the back switch while it's in standby.

I've had a ps2 for about a year and half and this is news to me... It says it in the owner's manual. That when the red light is on it's in standby. And I've always heard from all of the game stores around here not to flip it off from on. Put it in standby and then turn it off.

You flip the back switch and the red light comes on. This is standby mode. You generally can hold the reset button until it goes back into standby...walk off and do something for 10 minutes and then come back in and hit the switch again renactivating it. But yeah you should really turn it off from standby...not from ON.

Well I was at the OU/Baylor game. And the saddest thing was....OU did not try AT ALL. Jason White got sacked so many times it wasn't even funny. He just kind of stared around the field with the ball so many times. The defense just kept letting Baylor through and oh god OU got so many holding penalties called on them it was sad. And through all of this it was still 42-3.....damn....

I was referring to Goldberg mulekicking Bret Hart in the head, which ended his career. You know Hart did wrestle several matches after that. In all honesty it was Hart's fault he can't wrestle now. Had he taken time off right after the match he might have had a few years left on his career, instead he wrestled Benoit where he took several german suplexes. To be even more fair. WCW wouldn't give him the time off.

You're basically arguing about why you don't like the game. Which is an opinion. Then someone is arguing back about why they like the game. That is there opinion. Discount the fact that someone could've had TONS of fun playing it and loved it and thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread and find RPG's to be boring because they aren't there cup of tea. Hi, do you actually READ posts before you reply to them. I SAID I HAD FUN WITH IT TOO (for a little while, anyway). What I SAID was that I was annoyed with were the throngs and throngs of fanboys who proclaim it to be something that it's not- it's a decent diversion. That's it. But fact is I see more people playing this game and having more fun with it than any other game. That says something about the game.

I'm actually going to the OU/Baylor game. It'll be fun to see the slaughter. I actually had a dream that Baylor won 10-3. That's not a dream...that's pure fantasy.

I still don't think they're anything alike. Plus I'm pretty sure they came out to close together for them to have ripped each other off. Plus there overall theme is different. Neon Genesis Evangelion: Man is destroyed for becoming to sure of himself. God smites man. Xenogears: Man destroys the false god and it's followers. Man smites God. I've watched the whole Eva series a few times and watched the 2 movies a few times. I've played Xenogears twice. I do not see the comparison. Just because they both deal with religous themes and have giant robots(albeit in TOTALLY different ways) does not mean they are a rip off of each other. So I suppose Jurassic Park is a ripoff of the Flintstones because they both had Dinosaurs?

Oh and I'll have to go with an 8. Mainly because the main event was just so damn exciting. And I wonder if the fans will look unfavorabley upon Zack for his obvious heel actions tonight?
