Austin/McMahon last pretty damn long and it drew ratings. It was based on a pretty basic premise too. Corporate boss can't control the renegade fan favorite and sets out to stop him at all costs. Sure it got a little out of hand at points, but it never lost sight of it's basic premise. that was a revolutionary fued in wrestling. people could relate to it. thats what they try to do is to get people to relate. why do you think they are doing this jericho and trish thing. its a situation that we are all familiar with. typical smart ideas of a good story line are boring and not relatable. Yet fucking a dead person is relateable? Yeah I remember when me and my friends would load up the truck on friday nights. A cooler full of beer, a couple of shovels, a box of condoms, and a couple of guys looking for a good time........
