"I'm Joe fucking Gibbs. I won 3 Superbowls with 3 different QB's! My team will wear whatever the fuck they want to wear!"
-
Miami finally makes it into a ball game with the offense acting half competent on that last drive.
-
Miami of Ohio is busy getting themselves bitch slapped by ISU.

It's been said before by someone else but.....my grandma could cover Pinkston. The thing was that last year McNabb was able to make things happen with his legs and once they lost that in that game, hope was gone.
-
I still say we wouldn't have been rocked if that late hit hadn't occured on McNabb. His tore the cartilage in his ribs and still tried to play. He got hurt pretty early on too.
-
I'm going to be watching the Independence Bowl just b/c I want to see what ISU does. And I'm interested in the Insight Bowl b/c I want to see how ND performs with an interim coach.

Because there is no point in just drinking and drinking to get drunk. And then they usually do something irresponsible like take advantage of a girl that's too drunk to know what's going on or try to drive. Then on top of that they go to class on Monday morning and announce it to everyone like it's a badge of courage and they do it in a really obnoxious way. And then they act like they are superior because they got drunk and you didn't. That's the problem I have with these people. I can mind my own business but oh about every frat boy I know at school is absurdly obnoxious with it. Then after this kid died and the truth came out that his brothers were making him drink as a hazing ritual they all were like "It's not our fault! It was his choice! Not our fault!" And then they got even madder when the school told them they couldn't drink at their house anymore. Hey guys someone just died b/c you guys couldn't drink repsonsibly at your party that's why they say you can't drink at your house anymore! And he died b/c you idiots were hazing him! From what I understand he passed out on the couch and even puked at one point while laying there and nobody checked on him. They probably walked by and went "Oh man look at this drunk fuck! Oh man he puked! HAHAHA!"

I just saw it for the first time tonight. I thought it was a really funny movie and yes I have met people like that. I liked the fact there was no plot. I used to always want a comedy that had absolutely no plot and was just a random assortment of day to day life. Well this still sort of had a plot....

The Eagles lost tonight......*yawn*.....yeah I'm sure the Rams are proud of their victory over the Eagles Practice Squad.
-
I think we need to get away from all this dry/wet campus bullshit and just teach people to be more fucking responsible. Seriously go to a frat party and 99% of the people are irresponsible fucktards seeing how much Jack they can drink before they pass out.

*pats Edwin on the back* Tough loss man.......tough loss. I was rooting for Fresno but I still feel for ya.

I hope Big Ben's ribs are just bruised and he'll be ok for the playoffs. I don't really like the Steelers but I was one of the people before the drafts saying that Big Ben was going to turn out to be the best of the 3 and I was mad that he was drafted 11. I just remember telling my parents "This guy is great in college. He'll be a better pro than Eli and Phillip" and them being like "Never heard of him! Who does he play for? A small conference school? Pfft he isn't anybody!" and now he's doing great and I'm happy for him and everyone seems to have jumped on the Big Ben bandwagon which is fine b/c he's a great guy so I hope he turns out ok from this rib injury.

If you're old enough to live away from your parents, join the army, drive, vote or otherwise be considered an adult, you're old enough to drink and the law should reflect that. I still get a chuckle out of hearing stories about soldiers fighting valiantly and all of them expected to give their lives for their country, but if they're under 21 they're not mature enough to drink. Sad. There used to be a really god argument against that but I can't remember it. My teacher used to tell it all the time. It was something to the effect that you are responsible enough to learn combat training and how to fight but you're basically not responsible enough to drink. Which I agree with. A 16 year old could probably fight in the army b/c they'd be able to complete the training and learn what is needed but they're to stupid and irresponsible to know when to quit drinking and how to control themselves. When you're 18 you may be able to complete the training but you're probably still going to try and drink as much as possible and do as much stupid shit as possible. And that's where I seperate myself from the frat boys and the stupid freshman at my college. I don't drink liquor, I only drink beer. When I drink beer it's not to get drunk. I don't get drunk. I'm drinking a beer b/c I like beer and I'm maybe going to have a couple to get a nice buzz while I'm watching a football game. Now most of the frat boys and freshman partiers are drinking with the express purpose of getting drunk. They don't know when to quit and they just want to get wasted as quickly as possible. Why? Because everyone around them is doing it and saying that it's cool. That's the problem with underage drinking. Now I'm not saying anyone over 21 doesnt' do that but there's less people of the legal age that are drinking just to get wasted than there are underage people drinking to get trashed. So basically the age is 21 and should stay 21 until people quit thinking they should get wasted at a party everytime a drop of alcohol touches there lips. I mean jesus I went to a party on Saturday night and I had like 3 beers. I stopped and hung out at the party for another 3 or so hours without having another drink. I had a damn good time. Then I drove home b/c I was sober. Most people I know at school would've drank those three beers in 15 minutes and started throwing back shots until they couldn't see straight then they'd try to drive home. That's just not right.

There is the whole thing that most of the people that are doing this drinking are under the age of 21. And no matter how much you say "It's harmless and fun!" It is still illegal. So if the college campus bans it you're either going to have to go to a party off campus or to a bar where you should have no trouble drinking if you're 21. This is mainly created to keep the fuck up frats from pressuring freshman into drinking against there will just so they can be "in" with the brothers of the frat. I'm a Junior at OU so I've been to the school for a couple of years and I've seen the behavior. Freshman think they have to get wasted b/c they are in college and frat boys think they have to get wasted every night and party every night b/c they're in college and in a frat. Then to top it all off they look down on you if you don't party every night and they brag very loudly in class about it which is never cool. Hey I had a couple of beers on Saturday night but I'm not in class on Monday morning going "HEY GUYS! GUESS WHAT!? I DRANK ON SATURDAY! THAT'S RIGHT I HAD SOME BUDWEISER AND SHOTS OF VODKA! YEAH THAT'S RIGHT! EVERYONE LOOK AT ME! I WAS DRINKING! I'M COOL!" And that's basically what I get from the fuck ups in the frats.
-
You know when I was making that post I almost put "except Kotz" right after that b/c I knew that you were. I knew I should have.
-
Is anyone else excited about the Cotton Bowl? I really hate Texas A&M but I'm jacked for this game for some reason.
-
See the thing about this kids death was that his brothers were making him drink and I think that's wrong. "Hey if you wanna be cool and be in our frat you have to drink until we tell you to stop!" Different people can handle different amounts of alcohol. They have some 120 pound kid that's never touched a drop of liquor drinking the same as some 250 pound guy that's been drinking since High School. And I've talked to people and they're pretty much made to do it even if they don't want to or else they'll be looked at like an outsider.
-
Are you sure you meant Oklahoma State and not Oklahoma? Because a student from the Sigma Chi fraternity died of alcohol poisioning early this semester and they've been debating all this semester and have finally made it a dry campus. I'm pretty sure OSU has been dry for a long time. It's really not the frat's it's the freshman being influenced by the frats. They show up to college and think that all they're supposed to do is party and get drunk and the frats encourage that. When I'm sitting in class and I hear somebody bragging about how drunk they were it's usually a freshman. When I hear someone talking about going out and getting wasted on a Tuesday night when they have a Wednesday morning class at 730 AM it's a Freshman. The Freshman are irresponsible and don't know what moderation is and don't know how to party on the weekend when there is no class. They don't realize college is to learn and earn a degree for your career. They think it's time to party. That's the problem at least at my University.

Payton has had two shots at the endzone and done nothing. I wonder if it's like an unbreakable record....he'll never throw another TD.....
-
Shouldn't this have just gone into the Reggie White thread?
-
I got Halo 2....that is it.
-
YES! The Heat stick it in The Lakers face! Kobe=Jordan? My ass! Nice shot at the end Kobe.
-
Usually games with this kind of hype aren't ever as good as the hype. But this game has been amazing. However it was billed as the big Kobe/Shaq battle but the other guys on the teams are stepping up and doing the job.
-
This game is great. Shaq is out we're in OT and the Heat are up by 4. I don't like the Heat nor do I paticuarly like Shaq but a Laker loss to the Heat in there own building would make me happy.

This is the team that almost beat USC? They just lost to Wyoming!
