    TSM Superhero Draft

In answer to your first question, it was in a What-If? comic.

    Looking for love?

Yeah, seriously. Who plays video games for FUN? I only play video games so that in the event of an alien invasion, I'll be able to destroy those bastards.

    SPIDER-MAN 4

Would Marvel have to pay to get it back? Or was the deal just that Sony had exclusive rights for X number of years, at which point it would default back to Marvel? I thought I heard something like that, but I could be way off.

    Venture Bros. Season 3

Very good episode. I'm convinced Dr. Miss. The Monarch is behind everything though. Like, EVERYTHING. Like, I think she's out to overthrow the Guild and take over.

WWE has a new search engine with a twist

I got as far as "with all do respect".

    Venture Bros. Season 3

Yes, exactly. Goddammit, I was really hoping my internet was sketching somehow. And I'd wait for it to be on TV, but we don't even have cable, let alone Cartoon Network on our local cable system.

    Venture Bros. Season 3

Is anyone else having issues viewing the new episode on The Fix? I've tried it on mine and my room-mates computer, yesterday and today, and the episode freezes in the same spot every time. Anyone else notice this?

    SPIDER-MAN 4

I agree with that; I think I just worded my original statement poorly; What I meant what, I find it silly how often he's not wearing the mask (or a ripped up one) while in his costume or using his powers. I mean, isn't he supposed to have a secret identity? But yet every villain knows it before the movie ends. That bugs me. Also, I'd really love to see them bring back Doc Ock. Okay, yeah, he sank into a river, but they could BS some movie magic over that - like, shit, I dunno, the tentacles came back on line, realized the gravity of the situation, swam to safety with an unconscious Doc, got him on the shoreline and then...well, they could go from there. I'd like to see him brought back, anyway.

    Hogan/Austin: The Thread

I'd book Austin to win, and here's the jist of how: Of course, they'd have already kicked out of each other's finishers once or twice already by this point, but Hogan wouldn't have hulked up yet - I'll say Austin was unable to capitalize after hitting the stunner, so hulking up wasn't needed. Anyway, here's how I'd book the finish: Austin is in control, Hogan is hurting. Austin hits him with the stunner, gets the closest 2-count the ref can pull off. Hogan starts hulking up, Austin starts looking nervous - not scared, cuz he's Stone Cold Steve Austin, but more like a "shit, what can I do now?" sorta deal. Right hand by Austin is shrugged off. Another one. Another. Hogan sticks up the wagging finger, Austin quickly slaps Hogan's hand away, gives him the stationary finger, followed by a kick in the junk and the stunner. Hogan doesn't sell it fully - sorta bumps but staggers back to his feet, still trying to hulk up, but Austin hits him with another Stunner as soon as Hogan is on his feet, 1 2 3. It's way too late for this match to have the impact it should, but I'd have Austin go over because I consider Austin the "new" Hogan - or at least, he was in his prime, which is why this match should've happened years ago. The new generation star proving that not only could he hang with the stars of the last generation, but he's even better. A passing-the-torch sort of deal, you know?

    SPIDER-MAN 4

I think it's actually kinda silly how much time Peter spends NOT wearing the mask. Like, literally EVERY SINGLE VILLAIN in the first three movies knows who he really is by the end of the movie. That said, if they're actually gonna put some effort into it and plan ahead for more movies, so we don't get stuff rushed through like in 3 (that movie would been 10X better had we not seen the symbiote again after the bell tower scene and Venom was saved for 4), I'm all for more Spider-Man movies, no matter who plays Parker.

    What does your surname mean?

Surname: Leahy Recorded in the spellings of O'Leahy, Leahy and Leahey in Counties Tipperary and Cork, and O'Lahy and Lahy in County Clare, this is an Irish surname of great antiquity. Generally to be found in the province of Munster, and in some numbers on the West Coast, the derivation is from the pre 12th century Gaelic word "laochda", which translates as "The heroic one". In the first instance the name was given to the chief of the clan, and it should be assumed that it was as a result of a battle, in which he distinguished himself. Sadly the event itself is lost in the mists of antiquity. It is known that to some extent the clan was dispersed in the period after 1603, when they joined the famous rebellion of that year lead by Lord O'Neill. This ended in disastrous defeat at the battle of Kinsale, and the end of Irish hopes of self government for three centuries. Despite the break up of the original clan, the several members have distinguished themselves. These include Edward Leahy (1797 - 1875) the famous portrait painter, and the Rev. Patrich Leahy, the arbishop of Cashel, responsible for the building of Thurles Cathedral. Amongst the many thousands of refugees from the "Great potato famine" of 1846-1848 was Simon Leahy, and his sister Margaret, who sailed on the ship "Venice", bound for New York, on April 30th 1846. The first recorded spelling of the family name is shown to be that of John O'Lahy, which was dated 1581, hanged in Dublin for refusing to renounce the faith, during the reign of Queen Elizabeth 1st, knownby some as "Good Queen Bess", 1558 - 1603.

ICP fans give their baby a Jullago funeral.

Twisted: Yes, Launchpad McQuack is in both Ducktales and Darkwing Duck. In fact, so's Gizmoduck, if I'm not mistaken. Fenton Crackshell? Was that his name? I actually watched an episode of Ducktales the other day. I found it odd that I didn't recall the names of the individual Beagle Boys, but I did recall that their numbers were all variations of 176. That said, Ducktales was seriously like, the best cartoon ever and those who speak ill of it should be ashamed. The Carl Banks comics were pretty wicked too.

    Guitar Hero.

I'd so play a Clutch GH game. Clutch owns your balls. That said, rather then band-specific GH games, I think I'd like genre-specific ones. Like, why make a Metallica GH game when you could make a thrash metal GH game? You could still have a handful of old Metallica tracks in it, but toss some Slayer and Anthrax and whoever else in there too.

    Guitar Hero.

I actually found the raised notch on the yellow button to be helpful in moving from medium to hard, because you can use that to tell whether you're in a higher or lower position on the neck without looking. Also, if I recall correctly, in a lot of the earlier hard tracks, there's places where there's no green, just orange, or vice-versa. Try to figure out which part of the song has what, so you know where your hand should be.

    Royal Rumble 2006

True enough; it just bothered me that the record was broken so soon, while the previous one had stood for like, years and years.

I've heard greeters page people for "buggy cart roundup", but that's not quite the same, I guess.

    Royal Rumble 2006

It's not the worst Rumble match, vuz Vince didn't win. That said, I remember it being pretty bad. The psychology was really piss-poor if you think about it, because Rey jr. was literally laying around selling for 5 minutes at a time by the time they got to like, #4, and yet he was somehow supposed to win? The fuck? Besides that, it made it painfully obvious that he was going all the way to the end. I also hated that they felt that they HAD to break the Iron Man record. And that HHH was in the whole goddamned time too. That also pissed me off, that they almost did the Bulldog/HBK think again, where #1 and #2 are the last guys in.

Lucky bastards. Smokes around here run between $8-$11 a pack, depending on the brand.

Do you mean the little pill-like candy Smarties, or the candy-coated chocolate ones? Either way, I'd like to point out that you're totally off your rocker.

    Venture Bros. Season 3

I'll never understand region blocking for this kind of shit. What's the point of the internet if I can't view it in other countries?? I feel your pain. And cure it. Alluc.org It's under cartoons somewhere. But Season 3 Episode one is in the main folder of the show, not the season 3 one for some reason.

The Things That Anger You Thread.

Looney Tunes isn't good enough for today's kids or something, so now they have a show where all the Looney Tunes are basically super-powered anime heros or some shit. I'm serious. Though I find it funny how my nephews, who are like, 3 and 5, are into the same stuff I was into as a kid - Ninja Turtles and Transformers.

    What the fuck, weather?

I just read in the local paper the other day that they're forecasting a cooler-then-average summer around here. I'm kinda relieved - the last few summers were brutally hot and humid for a few days.

Comments which don't warrant a thread.

Actually, if nothing else, cats are handy for keeping away vermin. They don't even have to kill the things, they just need to make the house smell like cat and you're not gonna have many mice running through there. I've known people in apartments who complained of mice, but the guy down the hall never ever saw one - cuz he owned a cat. Plus, a purring cat is extremely relaxing. However, a meowing cat when you're trying to sleep is a reason for me to yell at the damned thing that I'm gonna boot it across the hall if it doesn't shut the fuck up. Course I'd yell basically the same thing at a barking dog, so whatever.

    LOST

Why do people keep questioning the polar bears? It's a research station; they were conducting research on polar bears, and so they brought some of the polar bears to the island to test them out. Why does that require further explanation?
