Batista has a right to his opinion seeing as though he is and has been a worker. If all he has seen is a few clips (and really who knows what that amounts to) then he can speak negativly he thats how he feels about it. It may not be totally fair but it is what it is. TNA regardless of your opinion does seem to be lacking something. Maybe it is the 6 sided ring who knows? But it is not like Batista painted with such a wide brush saying there was never a good match or anything worth watching on their show. He stated it wasn't his taste, and obviously so considering the way he wrestles. Thats fine with me. Plus TNA has alot of room to improve and grow before they reach that level they need to be competitive. Another thing that I can't quite wrap my mind around is it seems like there are some folks here that in comparing TNA to WWE that the WWE isn't producing any good matches this year? Come on! There have been plenty of good matches from watchable to classic this year on both television and on PPV. Sure there has been plenty of crap, but when isn't there? It's not like 1995 bad, not by a longshot.
-
All this will change as soon as he is given better opponents and a stronger position on the card to have some good matches. It's just too early to tell if he will be anything but the response has been good thus far.

What can you say? It's all they know how to do.

Well this is what they wanted him in there for I guess. Just plain spiffyitydoo.

Study: God Unnecessary For Strong Society
CheesalaIsGood replied to Slickster's topic in Current Events
I agree with this. Still, as working becomes the most important act in people’s lives they will not have the time or the energy to put into a working faith. With all the hours one must work in order to be remotely successful it's possible that religion might just get pushed out of the way. Cuz you better get your ass to work. At least in the United States you better. -
How much have I had to drink in this scenario?

Arn and Tully and ALOT of cheating. Woot! -
I was thinking the crowd could turn Hogan heel for acting too much like a face and Austin could do his old "act the heel til they cheer me" routine.

Judge Orders Abu Ghraib Photos released
CheesalaIsGood replied to CheesalaIsGood's topic in Current Events
The judge acknowledged such a risk but said "the education and debate that such publicity will foster will strengthen our purpose, and, by enabling such deficiencies as may be perceived to be debated and corrected, show our strength as a vibrant and functioning democracy to be emulated." -
You know, if you want to get topical, I could point out how many liberals defend Cindy Sheehan, even though at this point it's glaringly apparent just how mentally disturbed she is, and that only serves to paint the left with a wide brush that they either are, or at least sympathize with, dangerous, irrational socialists. Here's my problem with criticizing Bennett: I don't care if people want to roast his nuts over a fire for saying what he did, because as I said in the thread on the OTHER board, even if there is some statistical truth in his words, his remarks were stupid and poorly made (to make an understatement) and there was no way in hell they were going to be received any way other than they were. But for that bitch Nancy Pelosi, or for Harry Reid, to DEMAND that the White House condemn and apologize for the remark is pure lunacy. That's in addition to Y2Jerk's point about how Congress shouldn't be condemning someone just for voicing an opinion. It's not the job of Congress to be silencing unpopular (even racist) speech, and it's not the White House's responsibility to apologize for every stupid move that some conservative makes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You might be surprised to hear that I agree with you on many of your points. This really isn't THAT much of a hot topic issue considering there are alot more important things to deal with these days. However, defending this dolt isn't going to make Republicans look any better in the racism department. No matter how many stats and figures right leaning people use to try and justify his talking this crap it was still a shitty thing and WRONG thing to say. Worthy of no more of a response than "You know what Bennett? You are a fucking asshole. Fuck off. Nobody is going to listen to you again." But the scary thing is there are people defending him as in that believe he is right to have said what he did. And that is just plain dumb.

2005 WWE Television Win-Loss Record & Standings
CheesalaIsGood replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
Wow, this situation with Christian is such bullshit. I'm not even that much of a mark for his work. Damn if the guy didn't get his legs cut out from underneath him. Really sad. -
Yeah, it really is. It's an entertaining hour or so. When they get to the interviews, showing the highlights I was on the floor laughing at the sheer nonsense. Keep in mind there is alot of confession that indeed the guy did make quite the impact. Which is why it is so sad that he became who he did.

Judge Orders Abu Ghraib Photos released
CheesalaIsGood replied to CheesalaIsGood's topic in Current Events
What are you pissing and moaning about now? The Democrats WILL exploit this for political gain, and the photos will be used as propaganda to drum up support in the Arab world for Islamic terrorists. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Of course they will. As well I say they should. If Bush and company don't want to do it right, if they can't keep their shit together, then they deserve all the grief they get. It's the conservatives war Vyce. Deal with it and own it. You do know it's POLITICS right? Besides my point was that the media spotlight will be shown upon the Dems response and completely overshadow the horseshit that took place in the prison. Nobody really gives a fuck if the Dems do or don't pick this up. It will become THE issue, distract everyone nicely, and go back about its business. THAT is what I am "pissing and moaning" about. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You hit the nail on the head, the media will spin this story as if it is a Democrat vs. Republican issue, when in reality, what it is important is stopping what is going on in these prisons, but that will be overshadowed by all these media outlets as they will have their typical (D) "show the pics"" vs. ® "traitor, sedition" cardboard guests on the show. It will be turned into an argument of whether the pictures should be shown or not, when the real issue is what the pictures reveal about our policy or lackthereof concerning prisoners. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A quick response, but I disagree. I don't think they show much on our 'policy' towards prisoners (Which sort of is turning it into a political issue, as you see Cheesala wanting to accuse Bush because, well, it's obvious he ordered these). Nor do I believe that it is 'necessary' for us to release these pictures. There's a decent argument that by releasing these pictures, we do a lot more harm than anything else, and it's only bringing attention and more drama towards what seems to be more of an isolated event (I don't think anything even close has been even accused of coming out of Gitmo). I do love the reasoning that "These should be used as propaganda against us", despite the fact that this was not actually us, but more a group of fucking sadists in US uniforms. But... I think that we should be as open as possible. There's something to be said for that. While I don't share the enthusiasm of Cheesala for these pictures, and I definitely see it as an uneven tradeoff (We've already been incredibly open about Abu Ghraib, what more do we have to prove), I think it's okay to let these out, though it's really kicking a dead horse at this point. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There you go stuffing words in someone’s mouth again. I never said George W. Bush personally handed down the order to rape children. However, as COMMANDER IN CHIEF who's CHOICE it was to set this war in motion I do hold him responsible for putting the pieces on the board that allowed this to happen. Conservatives are going to learn that these types of actions will not be tolerated. That Iraqi/Arab/Muslims ARE in fact people just as deserving of respect dignity and LIFE as you or I. No more casual disregard of "collateral damage". No more jokes about glass parking lots will be given credence. The Bush Admin is too fucking stupid to realize that when shit like this happens it only makes us look worse! You can't talk your way out of it. But apparently the expectation on the media is to do what? Ignore it? Sorry, not going to happen. Accountability is too important. Credibility is everything when we are trying to "win their hearts and minds". And if it turns out that these photos and videos show what we have been hearing they show, then those accountable should be brought down and punished. No amount of spinning of "isolated incidents" is going to help win this fight. We need credibility to do what they say they are trying to do, and Bush has none. Enthusiasm? You are out of your fucking mind. Maybe thats just the word you use when someone is sick to their stomach. -
If he had just said something about poor people, but not JUST "black babies" he might have got SOME flack but it wouldn't have gone as far as this has. Considering who Bennett is, and who he used to run with, don't you think the right-wing would be doing something more along the lines of distancing themselves from this? Instead they defend him! Which just paints the right with an even wider brush that they are all rich white bigots. Which not all of them are. But hey, defend away.
