Anti-Gay protestors protest soldiers funeral
CheesalaIsGood replied to Gary Floyd's topic in Current Events
I gotta get some mp3s of these songs. -
I think those 80s flicks were meant as a particular point of view being right-wing. Which is why you should enjoy them for the high comedies that they are.

I don't know where Thumb Tack guy got the idea that I am looking down on people simply because I want to help them out. Or that I would want him to feel guilty that I AM doing something and HE is not. Don't want to help? Fuck it then. Don't. There are PLENTY who will regardless of their judgement on whether or not they could, would, or should have got out of the fucking city. It's something folks call "the right thing to do". Cuz you never know when it might happen to you. Look, I have a real motivation for going there. My girlfriend was down there visiting family and after the storm I lost contact with her for a couple days. It's been a rollar coaster ride so like it or not I am involved in some ways. Hearing her first hand reports after the fact, moved me to want to do something about it. I don't see what Thumb Tacks problem is. Should we leave anyone left down there to die? I say no. As far as the story of this storm, the rescue and eventual rebuilding of lives is what is left to do. So best to get to it.

Waitaminute... did I just get a rash of shit for doing some GOOD? Next in the news: "Shaking hands when you meet someone is Liberal bias".
-
Feel better about yourself for showing pity to the people without the good sense to get out before being clobbered? Give them money and tell all your friends how good a person you are. Tell your arguement opponents how terribly they are if they didn't. Good little Christian...good little liberal. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Better than doing nothing at all. REALITY check! No matter the circumstances there are people that need help. If you don't feel like you should then so be it. Check the avatar kid. No unicorn worshipping going on here. So if you think this was some kind of set up to make a MikeSC out of you then you really have no clue. For all the shit I call on those useless fucks who run this country, I have not once pointed a finger of accusation at my enemies in the Bush Admin in this thread. Not once. So go ahead and assume you know something and show you only know about as much as Barbara Bush does. Next week, I'll be heading down to help out in any way I can. So you just sit behind your keyboard and talk shit. It's all gonna be taken care of. Cuz afterall, I'm really only doing to sway the elections. Right?

Why is C-Bacon so awful? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Eh? Something wrong Bob? Justice not here to reply for you? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That WAS some dumb shit she said Bob. This storm is already wedging a nice and even LARGER divide between the haves and havenots. That for someone to spout off at the mouth like that is retarded. Moreso from some rich ignorant housewife who doesn't know shit about shit. Great quote though. Anybody made any donations yet? I did. I made mine to this chairty who are actually on the ground and helping people as we speak. http://www.secondharvest.org/default2.asp C-Bacon - Like he would reply with anything but regurgitated cronyism? Maybe some namecalling?

Pretty much it goes how everyone else on the net as said. Change your move to a Stunner or an RKO, and after some pounding, hit all three of them with the finisher. You might even do well to save up an extra special just in case. BY that time your stamina should be good and your meter should be red. So climb climb climb.

Kuwait Pledges $500M for Hurricane Relief By Associated Press KUWAIT CITY -- The oil-rich Persian Gulf state of Kuwait said Sunday it will donate $500 million in aid to U.S. relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina. The offer is the largest known put forward since the hurricane ravaged Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama and follows a $100 million aid donation from the emir of a Mideast neighbor, Qatar. Kuwait's energy minister said his country would provide "oil products that the disaster-stricken states need in addition to other humanitarian aid." "It's our duty as Kuwaitis to stand by our friends to lighten the humanitarian misery and as a payback for the many situations during which Washington helped us through the significant relations between the two friendly countries," Sheik Ahmed Fahd Al Ahmed Al Sabah said in a statement carried by Kuwait's official news agency, KUNA. Kuwait is one of America's closest Mideast allies and owes its 1991 liberation from Iraqi occupation forces to a U.S.-led coalition that drove Saddam Hussein's army out. Kuwait and Qatar's donations came as the Egypt-based 22-member Arab League called on Arab nations to provide relief to the U.S. The Arab League said that its secretary-general, Amr Moussa, sent a cable of "deep condolences and regret to the U.S. administration over the effect of Hurricane Katrina ... and called on all Arab countries to extend aid to the United States to face the exceptional humane circumstances." http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/wo...ack=1&cset=true Hey some GOOD news! Not that it'll sway gas prices but hey, any little bit helps after Katrina. Even better that it comes from a country that OWES us.

Oh cry me a river. "The Liberals" aren't the issue here. Apparently, you would like to make your hurt feelings the issue. Take it to to HD or the music folder... or better yet LSD and cry about it there. Why are you splitting hairs on whether this is a human OR a natural disaster? It is both and continues to be BOTH. Perhaps you must in order to keep you politcal point of view intact. To each their own.

You know you wuold THINK that when something like this happens people concerns would be the rescue efforts and how the survivors are. Instead do we want to waste time being all up in arms over what a SINGER said or how the guy in CHARGE of that resuce effort is performing?

Was *I* bitching about George Bush?
-
Definitly. Senator Joe ranks up their with other Wisconsin homeboys like Jeff Dahmer and Ed Gein. Its just too bad his liver exploded. Czech, etc...How 'bout we agree to move all the Kanye discussion to the thread in the music folder? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good idea. Kudos.

I was stuck on the fatal four way cage at summerslam. Now I am stuck in a cage with Big Show who just SMOTHERS me. I hate cage matches.
-
A natural disater takes place and this clown wants to bitch about a nothing nobody like Kanye West. "Shut the fuck up" in this regard is INDEED a strong counter-arguement.
-
His mom is a college professor, I believe. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dude, shut the fuck up.
-
Conservatives may want Kanye West to shut the fuck up but who fucking cares? There are more important things to think and talk about. Doing anymore than rolling your eyes is a waste of anyones time.
-
I missed that. Maybe its... both???

I say this knowing full well I could be flamed for bringing it up. But my girl is down there. She is about 3 hours north of NO. I have been dead inside for days having not heard from her til she called this afternoon. I cannot tell you the horror I have felt not knowing how she is. Fortunatley she is out of the way and so far everything is... well not good. She has lost some family members and she and a few others are going back out to search for more of her kin. It took everything I had to not insist she come home to New Hampshire, but she has to find the rest of her family. I'm just going to have to understand. But I do NOT fucking want to! I just have to wait for her to call me later and maybe she'll have some good news.

I nabbed the last copy at the Gamestop I went to. They gave me a free poster too! I'll never hang it anywhere (its of the box cover) but hey free shit is good shit. Been playing it. So far I really don't have too much of a problem as I add more attributes as I move along the story. The cage match I had was really easy for me. Don't know what the problem was, but it all worked out. The crowd sounds are kind weak compared to last years. Whenever there is a chant the thin sounding chant kinda makes the background crowd sound quiet.

y ANGELA K. BROWN, Associated Press Writer 1 hour, 3 minutes ago CRAWFORD, Texas - The mother of a fallen U.S. soldier who started a quiet roadside peace vigil near President Bush's ranch last weekend is drawing supporters from across the nation. Dozens of people have joined her and others have sent flowers and food. One activist called her "the Rosa Parks of the anti-war movement." Cindy Sheehan, 48, of Vacaville, Calif., says she was surprised at the response. "Before my son was killed, I used to think that one person could not make a difference," she said Wednesday under a tent where she has slept since Saturday. "But one person that is surrounded and supported by millions of people can be heard." Although a few residents have complained about the protesters, no one has been arrested because the group has been on the public right-of-way, said Capt. Kenneth Vanek of the McLennan County Sheriff's Office. On Saturday, two high-level Bush administration officials, the national security adviser and deputy White House chief of staff, talked to Sheehan for about 20 minutes. Sheehan called the brief meeting "pointless" and still wants to talk to the president. Her 24-year-old son, Casey, was killed in Sadr City, Iraq, in April 2004 just five days after he arrived. Two months later, Sheehan was among grieving military family members who met with Bush at Fort Lewis, near Seattle, Wash. Since then, she said, various government and independent commission reports have disputed the Bush administration's claims that Saddam Hussein had mass-killing chemical and biological weapons — a main justification for the March 2003 invasion. On Wednesday, a coalition of anti-war groups in Washington called on Bush to speak with Sheehan, who they say has helped to unify the peace movement. "Cindy Sheehan has become the Rosa Parks of the anti-war movement," said Rev. Lennox Yearwood, leader of the Hip Hop Caucus, an activist group. "She's tired, fed up and she's not going to take it anymore, and so now we stand with her." Some veterans and relatives of those killed have called Sheehan's vigil a distraction and continue to support the U.S. military action in Iraq. At her makeshift camp in muddy ditches off the two-lane, winding road leading to Bush's ranch, Sheehan has spent the past several days talking to reporters, hugging fellow protesters and taking brief breaks to eat sandwiches and fruit brought by supporters. Her vigil has also become a hot topic on the Internet and blogs. Although she doesn't expect Bush to meet with her in Crawford, she says if he did she would ask him whether he has encouraged his twin daughters to enlist. "I want him to quit using my son's death to justify more killing," she said. "The only way he can honor my son's death is to bring the troops home." Cindy Sheehan of Vacaville, Calif., gathers herself as she recounts stories of her son to a reporter by a tent that she is staying in on the side of the road that leads to President Bush's ranch, Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005, in Crawford, Texas. Her simple, quiet protest of the war that took her son's life is gaining momentum as dozens joined her Wednesday at the site. Sheehan, 48, has insisted on speaking to Bush and vowed to remain during his ranch stay through the end of the month. Her tenacity has gained the support of anti-war groups, with one activist calling her 'the Rosa Parks of the anti-war movement.'(AP Photo/Tony Gutierrez) This is so great. He'll ignore her of course. Thats what the king does when the peasents get testy.
