  1. No, it speaks to Wright's character and judgement. Guilt by association is bullshit.

    Keep telling yourself that.

    B.O. Hussein chose Wright.

Either he agreed with his anti-American sentiments, or he didn't mind them, or he was blind, deaf, and stupid for 20 years. Pick any or all of the above, but don't imagine for one second that your answer (whatever it is) will make anyone more likely to vote for the Obamessiah.

Or maybe he didn't care. After all, my grandfather is the most influential person I have ever had in my life and he is also bigoted against blacks. Yet, I seem to have no problem making friends and getting along with black people. There IS a generation gap you could consider.

  3. I'm pretty sure I am the Manchurian Candidate since every time I hear Plush I feel like killing somebody. "The dogs begin to smell her"? Fuck you.

The guitar sounds like somebody took the speaker from an amp and housed it in one of those gimmicked WWE trash cans. Sweet Christmas I hate STP.

  4. I FOUND IT!!!!

And...big surprise...it so totally NOT what the press, Clinton campaign, or conservative spin-machines made it out to be.

You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are going to regenerate and they have not. And it's not surprising then, that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

So, basically he's out of touch because he realizes that any economic prosperity we've seen in the last 25 years has not trickled down to a lot of small towns, and some people are bitter so they turn to other things to explain their frustrations. Is that being elitist, or is that an exact understanding of what's going on? I'll admit it's poorly worded, but had his grammar been perfect, wouldn't that have also been a sign he's "elitist." And is it no coincidence that everytime a conservative talking head mentions this quote, they never give you the quote itself, but ALWAYS mention he was in San Francisco when he said it?

I'm a bit uninformed so maybe you can help me. Was this another one of those sweeping generalizations I keep hearing about? I was almost sure there was an outcry for a stronger conservative voice on this board but haven't heard much in the way of counter-arguments thus far.

Soooo, Obama is being slammed by the right over this. Bah, it's just a fart in a car. Just roll down the windows... everybody else will.

    No worries.

  5. Andover is full of snobs.

You say that as if that's a bad thing.

Plus, I'm from Andover and I'm so awesome it's scary.

and speaking of shitholes, there's a special level of hell reserved for Lawrence.

I still have a special place in my heart for Lawrence from when it was the easiest place to buy weed when I was a young niskie. Dimebags from Water ST or Tenney ST for everyone!

Oh man. I grew up in Andover too. Yep, Snobville, but I grew up on the "hard streets" of Memorial Circle. Ugh. Andover used to be a decent middle class town (back when my old man grew up there) with a hardware store, a grocery store etc ON Main Street. Now it's just banks and real estate. Lame as fuck. 10 bucks says you know Dan Serdam Mr. Niskie.

BTW way I used to live right Tenney Street on Phillips St. I seen some shootin' going on in my day.

  6. I can understand why some people might not like Ron Paul. Still, with the selection we got on both sides of the fence Paul was the only guy who I thought believed in what he said. Even if I disagreed with much of what he thinks and says it was all I was going to get with the glut of glad-handing blow hards who will say anything you want to hear.

    Fuck this election.

  7. "Do you watch Battlestar Galactica?"

    "Then you're an idiot."

    -Dwight Schrute

No shit. That episode kicked the monsters balls.

Looks like Baltar is nice an secure where he is at with his harem of MILFs and (maybe) GOD appearing in the form of Six pushing things along. At least that is what I thought they were hinting at with that foreground in focus shot to the background focus.

Got to say too that this episode also did wonders for not wasting any detail from past episodes. References to Boomer and the Cylon detector and Anders "Championship Game" were all nice touches for those who really pay attention.

  8. ...y'know what's funny? The first night I started posting here again, due in part to a direct request by one of your admins, there were multiple requests for my immediate banning. Because, supposedly, I was being rude. Because I was misrepresenting other people's arguments. Because I was picking fights. Because my mere presence was a detriment to the TSM CE folder.

Take a look back over the threads in which I've posted. Can you really say that I've been the aggressor in every one?

Even if you don't agree with my general outlook?

Your answer to that question would probably say more about you than it would about me.

I still think you are awesome.

  9. i enjoy the soaring excess of steinman's stuff, but i can't take it for more than 10 minutes at a time.

With the Meatloaf stuff (at least) 10 minutes at a time is pretty much what you are going to get.

  10. Hey, I'm not as bad anymore!

Plus, when I was in gimmick more... My spelling and grammar was much better.

Not as bad? Dude, you have always been fine in your posting here. People need to get the fuck over it and realize this is messageboarding. It isn't like art and science is going on here.

Plus, you piss off the right people. So kudos.
