Let's do some spring cleaning on folder subtitles.

Both Matrix sequels sorta licked ass. I understood them just fine. They just licked ass. I too am rooting for "I just blue myself" to return. -
Are we currently witnessing the complete and total decay of society?

I really don't get what the jpeg attack is actually supposed to mean. The best I can get is "goddamn gummint taken my money and given it to the po' folk," which is asinine. Also, if you're in college, then I can understand why it might be difficult to afford your rent, and why you're locked into a location. The hysterics about the total decay of society are still a bit much, though. -

This is the funniest whiniest post I've seen in some time. If you seriously hate this pit of hell known as Waterbury, CT so much, then (gasp) move to somewhere with a lower standard of living and get a real job. If the job you're working doesn't allow you $700 rent, you can probably find a job of similar caliber in any place you go. Or just keep hating on our obviously collapsing world, and shaking your fists like you can't do anything about it. Your life isn't as bad as that of a welfare family, and if it is, then you're managing your life incorrectly. See that? Save $3600 a year living in Oklahoma! And hang out with Dama. -
The Saints picking up Brees would be very interesting. Could they justify spending the #2 on Williams or Ferguson? They might be able to really, really get a lot for that spot if one of the lower top-10 teams is interested in Leinart, Cutler, or Young.

Samoas are totally worth it.

Absolutely hilarious until, as aforementioned, they leave Walken's house. The rest of the movie either takes itself far too seriously or just flat-out isn't funny.

I used to be the same way and then wised up. Ziggy is great, Hunky Dory might be better and is a totally uniquely beautiful album, and the Berlin albums are different still, with Low being an absolute high point. The second half being all instrumentals initially gives you a feeling of "weirded out!" but grows on you pretty quickly. Others will inevitably chime in with even more exciting thoughts. I also love "Panic in Detroit."

Look at all these cool albums that came out in 1999

I liked 2002 a whole lot. I haven't heard half of the stuff on your list here, though most of it I've thought "Hey, I should check that out at some point." My dastardly youth is showing itself. -
Seriously, I think I fucking love it. When I first saw "One Year Later" I was all "oh no you din't," but...it's ballsy. And nuts. In one year, Baltar managed to do what the Cylons couldn't: bring the last of humanity to its knees. Next season is going to be absolutely wild.

They said his freaking eye fell out? JAYSUS. So glad I wasn't watching.

Okay, all I have to say is OMG WTF

Single's fun, at least. Surprisingly "I wanna fuck you" from the guy who has really toned it down in the past decade. I suppose there was some of that on Musicology, but "Black Sweat" is way more overt.

Hey Wake Forest, where the hell have you been all year? The Demon Deacons are absolutely murdering NC State right now--50-28 with 16 minutes to go. I'd laugh my ass off if Wake got past Duke in the semis.

I don't think Marion's the MVP (because, once again, I think it's Nash), but yeah, he did fine. The Suns are just dead with injuries right now. What's funny is that, because of how strong Diaw and Barbosa have come on this season, they'll probably still be able to manhandle many teams while waiting for everyone to heal up. I'm going to be really interested to see how they integrate Amare, if he gets back for the end of the season/playoffs. These Suns have been a very good team, but we've yet to get a chance to see what the frontcourt is like with both (Kurt) Thomas and Stoudamire.

I know he's retardedly funny, but I actually find people like CronoT utterly depressing. How do you turn into that.
-
Y2Jerk, you really seem to have it in for professors. I know you do secondary school teaching, but dag, yo.

Good call on Yahoo. I don't like the ESPN one.

Does the RPI actually matter that much? Especially for the MVC. It's somewhat artificially inflated by the fact that those core 6 teams all have decent RPI, and they all beat up on each other. I know, I know, no team with an RPI above 34 or whatever has been left out, but the vibe I'm getting from all the talking heads who purportedly know how the committee works is that RPI won't be as important this year as strength of schedule and recent momentum. With Michigan, Seton Hall, and FSU doing their best to give up their spots, there might be room for the CAA teams, but it's gonna be rough.

Championship Week is really when you start to see how little the NBA guys care about what they're doing out there. I flipped on to some of the Nuggets/Sixers game, and everyone looked bored by contrast with any NCAA game that was on today. Not contesting shots, nobody leaping for rebounds--who cares. College basketball 4 life.

I guess it is different in Canada. Professors aren't supposed to be teaching 40 hours a week in the U.S. Half your job is teaching and advising students; the other half is writing articles/books and publishing. Do Canadian professors not concern themselves with publishing/scholarship/etc.? I ask because, really, the self-aggrandizing "gotta publish!" mentality is exactly why I'm not going for a Ph.D. here.

If Michigan gets in, they're going to get run out of the first round. They looked absolutely terrible out there. Not really shocking, but they've been on a nasty decline.
-
It might look something like that. God, I love this picture.

You're right. Now there is almost no way that the CAA gets 3 teams in. For that to happen, Maryland has got to lose to Wake Forest later today, and Texas A&M has to get blown out tomorrow. Not to mention that the Cal farce has to end tonight or tomorrow by somebody in the Pac 10. And it would help immensly for Flordia State to get knocked out too. You mixed it up a bit--Maryland hits Georgia Tech, and Florida State plays Wake in the opener. I don't know why people are still touting Maryland as a possible tournament team; I don't think they've been in it since they picked up the 8th conference loss. They're not a threat to anyone's spot unless they get to the ACC final. FSU beats Wake and I think they're in, as 10 total ACC wins--one of which is over Duke--should be enough. Mid-majors and high-majors always get screwed, and I think the committee will be much more likely to take that 5th ACC team than a 5th MVC team.
-
The bubble is shrinking very quickly. I wonder how much damage GW's loss does to Hofstra and George Mason in the CAA. That tourney probably worked out as well as it could for the conference, they've got both be getting close to out at this point.

Unbelievable. That was fucking great. Syracuse, welcome to your 10 seed.
