Again! 10 fucking games indeed.

That was great. Diemendorf blocks the shot, makes a break, takes an outlet pass, and then takes it to the hoop with his offhand while juking completely around the UConn defender. I want to see that again.

Interesting day in the Big East. I still think Cincinnati's getting in, but a strong showing against UConn could give Syracuse Seton Hall's spot on the bubble depending on how much the committee cares about RPI. There's also Seton Hall beating Pitt while DePaul thumped 'Cuse. 9-7 Big East plus that huge win at N.C. State is going to make it very hard to say no to Seton Hall, though. And hey, go Monmouth! The Hawks upset Fairleigh Dickinson on a last-second layup to grab the Northeast Conference's auto bid. I'm fond of Monmouth, since it was the closest college to me when I lived in New Jersey, and I always rooted for them to make the tourney. The NEC is a solid traditional provider of 16 seeds, so they'll probably have the honor of getting pounded by Villanova in a week's time.

I just checked, and you're right. "Magic Bus" is only 8 minutes. Still way too long, for both songs.

Scroby's 1st TSM Work Related Rant/Problem
Edwin MacPhisto replied to Scroby's topic in General Chat
The new guys probably make less and thus it's probably better for Mr. Manager to pump up their hours rather than yours. I don't think video game/movie rental stores are terribly famous for caring about employee complaints either, so you probably should just find something else. You're at-will; they can dock your hours or fire you for any reason they want, so I imagine you have limited recourse. -
The Shield, season 5, official thread

Everybody has shit out on the line now. This is all gonna be quite disastrous when it plays out, I'm sure. Also, Dutch: "Yes, they've all been destroyed." Hahahahahaha. -
Amidst all the jibbering in here this week, I missed this, which was kinda great. The streets love Seyss, and he love them back.

^What he said. When'd you go from just liking black metal to being a nutball? -
I was just about to say--it totally is C. Thomas Howell. First Robocop, and then Ponyboy. Awesome casting.

Silent countdown. That was like the most depressing thing ever. I need to go get drunk.

The writers are doing something great this season. Crazy First Lady wasn't actually a goofy time-filling plotline. Junkie sister steals the wallet wasn't a goofy time-filling plotline. We haven't had anything close to cougar attack or amnesia or even "Nina launches a computer virus LOL" this season. I'm really, really pleased.

I doubt it. Tremendous out of conference resume, and the only team I could really see passing them is Gonzaga. Maybe Ohio State if they absolutely tear through the Big 10 tourney. I don't know how you'd make an argument for a 3-loss Gonzaga team over a 4-loss Duke, considering Duke's thrashing of several other top teams and stellar ACC season. As long as Duke doesn't lose by 50 to Clemson in the ACC quarters, I think they have it absolutely sealed. Duke gets Clemson/Miami in the quarters, so I think it's going to be close to impossible for them to not at least make the semis.

TSM Writers very own StarSmucks Coffee House Discussion Room!

Which make up almost all the articles on the site. So what is your point. That the jibbering stuff like Rando storytime and stuff like that essay on suicide or life being hard lowers it all vastly. And if people are actually intent on making this something more than a wrestling page (which, like Bruiser Chong, I've never thought this place was suited for broader coverage, despite that always being the stated goal of the nebulous would-be "writers"), they're going to need to suck less/get edited whether they're writing life lessons, DVD reviews, etc. -
Crash isn't exactly daring. YOU PEOPLE.

You won't get an editor, because no one who's good enough to make editing worthwhile will do that for free on a small-time wrestling/pop culture website, of which there are dozens. The other solution is to find writers who are good enough to get by with minor editing, and I think the people on here who'd qualify for that have no interest in writing for the site. There's also not enough content to just flat-out reject lousy pieces. It's not that big a deal for wrestling recaps (and in Patrick, you have one of the rare persons on here who probably doesn't need much of an editor), or sports speculation (because that's generally informal or heavily statistical anyway). Other stuff--more noticeable. The site doesn't have a central voice, and it won't, because all the people writing for it are doing it for their own self-aggrandizing reasons, not the same self-aggrandizing reasons as everyone else. My constructive criticism is basically "don't kid yourselves," which sounds mean, but hey, low expectations. -

The new site is an absymal failure, by the way. Terrible writing all around, and Rando's storytime is ridiculous. I wouldn't submit most of it to a high school newspaper. Get an editor who knows what's up, or stop wasting your time, guys. -
Skull Radio is the best one so far. I propose Chinnuts.

I thought it was great. Duke/UNC basketball is without question one of the best rivalries in college sports, and I really dug the above-the-court feed they had on ESPN2. Really fun to watch, and the game paid off too. I just wish I got ESPN Classic so I could watch the 2OT game from 1995. That's one of the best ever.

Word? Spoiler text? You fiend. I found it for $40 on Buy.com.

The funniest part was when that one guy said something hilarious about raping her, or stabbing her in the crotch with a knife, or something along those lines, and got banned for "sexist comments" despite it not being a real chick. Brilliant.

Xena one week, Al the next. This show rules at guest stars. That had to be the longest teaser I've seen on any show, ever. In-fucking-tense. Anyone know a good place to get a deal on the first seasons DVDs? I can't find it anywhere in town and I'd like to catch up.

What's Seasoft? I've got a GS.

Get a Linksys WRT54G at Best Buy. Probably will have rebates that make it $40 or $50 after the fact. It's done me nothing but greatness, and works all through a regular sized house. If you're looking at a really big house, consider a MIMO-type router. Avoid the basic D-Link router you can get for between $20-40, because it drops signals all the time.
