Way funnier than it should be. Just reading "The Czech Republic" in place of an actual name is gutbusting.

The goings-on here remind that I've never known a person in real life who's been "engaged" and then had the engagement broken off hilariously. I think people on this board have accounted for about 7 such failures. Way to lower the bar, guys.

Hilarious, and I'm terrified by how much Mag sounds like this really, really douchey kid I know. Not to say that you sound douchey, but you sound kinda like this one douche.

New low.

I want to punch James Blunt right in the fucking face

All I Want Is You Please (single) With or Without You The Fly Where the Streets Have No Name Bad Sunday Bloody Sunday Zoo Station Running to Stand Still Love is Blindness Even though I don't listen to them nearly as much as I used to, I would agree with Bob that my list of favorite songs probably changes from day to day. Most of those are usually on it, though. I don't think the individual songs from Zooropa stand out that well, but work wonderfully together, especially on the first half of the album. -
You can get a 52" CRT television?

I think you made some typos but I don't know where. That guy was definitely Zeke/Mr. Friendly/whatever we're calling the character M.C. Gainey is playing. The "bearded" other.

I figured that I must have heard it before too, but I just listened to a bunch of samples at the iTunes store. Never, ever heard it in my life. Wild. Laura Branigan apparently covered it, though. Oh, and even the 14-minute "Magic Bus" appears to be better than this "Squeeze Box."

Who's the best poster on Leena's ignore list?

But...Claire wasn't fat. -
Oh, that's right. The "Magic Bus" on Live at Leeds is something ass-tarded like 14 minutes long. I don't think I've ever had the apparent misfortune to hear "Squeeze Box," unless I just don't know the name.

October is decent, but kind of a toss-off. Really, I like enough of the songs on Pop as well, but not nearly as much as I did six or seven years ago. The U2 catalog is gradually shrinking to a centralized point for me. -
The Shield, season 5, official thread

Seriously. Lem and Vic were watching two different things on the monitor--Lem, a guy trying to hold it together, and Vic, a guy ready to be torn apart. Really well done. -

I'm pissed that they appear to be splitting the season up. Last two weeks during the show have been those ads promising a season finale in March, which means that they're going to be leaving any number of the 21 filmed episodes for a "6th season," it seems. Good thing they'll probably become available through other means before then. Another really good episode. Gina Torres basically just needs to do a guest spot on Battlestar Galactica some day, and she'll have covered all my favorite TV shows. -

Make it War to Zooropa and you've got a deal. -
Urban markets, black markets, churches, BET, the internet. He's a big enough name that his built-in audience is actively looking for his stuff, and there are plenty of opportunities in his own internal marketing, within his plays and DVDs, to advertise the movies.
-
Perry has a massive following built-in not only from the first movie, but from his plays and their respective DVDs, which are insanely successful. The niche market is Christian blacks who want to laugh but also want to see stories about religion and family. It's a huge goddamn market, and he is the only person currently playing to it on a national level. New Line signed something like a 7-picture deal with him, with the intent of releasing one of his movies every February.

Yeah, I got back about 2 hours ago. It was fantastic. Same opening and closing as you said, lots of wonderful stuff throughout. This was in a club/bar that holds about 400 people, and the place was wall to wall. I don't think I've ever seen a crowd go more nuts than when he did "Clan in Da Front" and "I Gotcha Back." Muggs starting everything off with a set of Cypress Hill greatest hits was about the smartest thing ever for getting everyone hyped up. GZA was altogether liquid, hitting pretty much perfectly whether he was rapping on the beat or a capella. Also, Dreddy Kruger (one of my favorite-named Wu-disciples) kept going into the front rows to try to get joints from people. I need to go to more rap shows. The quality of the openers tonight was way higher than the usual equivalent at another show. Which makes sense, I suppose. Kase was really chill, Self Scientific was all right, and the Beetnix--Charlottesville locals--were exceptional. Great time. I also found out tonight that Ghostface is coming to the same place in April. The hits keep on comin'.

There are few late-night foods better than a Steak n' Shake frisco melt. It has a fascinating orange grease thanks to the thousand-island sauce. -
When Caprica-Six and Baltar actually meet again, it's going to be wild. They're both harboring totally skewed visions of each other, and now working against the primary goals of their races--Baltar giving the nuke to Gina and attempting to seize the presidency, and Six smacking down Xena Warrior Cylon and apparently working for the benefit of humanity. They're both absolutely in love with what they think each other is, and bridging that gap is going to be wild.

I'm in Charlottesville. The custom VA plate I see all the time is "OH KATIE." Somebody who lives down the street from me has "PLEZURE."

I'm always amused that Flip got so big despite that album cover. Bun B is the best. Chamillionaire is just there, but he seems to be a great interview. Every piece I've read involving him is pretty interesting.
-
I think that is his point. And he's right, too. Going to see GZA tomorrow. My first rap show, somehow.
-
Last few episodes of this show have been incredible. As for what's in Baltar's head...no clue. What's in Caprica-Six's head? Good damn show.

I really like Randle El, but the Steelers can probably afford to let him go if it comes to that. He's a really good #2 for the Steelers' system right now, but replaceable. There a whole lot of players very much like him in this year's draft, like Michael Robinson and Marques Hagans, who'll be converting from QB to all-purpose guys and can probably be picked up for cheap on the second day.
