This one time I got pulled over for rape.

I know Leak isn't the right fit for what Meyer did at Utah, but I also think Meyer would be an idiot to toss Leak aside. Leak can ball with SEC defenses. I guess we'll see how the rest of the season--specifically, the games against Georgia and FSU--shakes out.

Wow. The Big East really sucks. Obviously Louisville taking two losses in conference play is disappointing, but look what else happened yesterday: Pitt comfortably handled USF, and UConn lost to Cincinatti. Grotesque.
-
Why not? That's exactly what they did last year, and this year they've done it against better competition.
-
...You can't push people forward? That's news to me.
-
Yeah. Iowa? Maryland? Northwestern? All teams that look to be steadily improving, but I'd say they need one more win next week (all are playing quality opponents) to squeeze in there.

Holy shit, guys. I know USC/ND is (rightfully) the story of the day, but I was at that UVA/FSU game and I officially won't be able to talk for two days. This entire town is on top of the world right now. Al Groh and his coaches FINALLY made some adjustments and fixed up the shit that had been ruining this season, and pulled out the biggest win we've had in years. I haven't seen UVA play as well as they did today since they whomped #16 Maryland 48-13 in 2002. Wahoowa, bitches.

Yeah, cause FSU's losing tomorrow. </homer> I'll be there in orange, futile as it might be. Notre Dame should put up a fight but I'm not sure their weak defense is going to cut it. On paper this game doesn't look much different from USC/Oregon or USC/Arizona St.

Season 5 of The Shield to be 21 episodes?
Edwin MacPhisto replied to BlackFlagg's topic in Television & Film
Excellent. If this going to be the end, they'll now have plenty of room to do whatever they want with it. -
"Loud Cloud Crowds," man. It's one of my favorites from this year. Have yet to check out the album of the thread, but I'm sure I'll steal it this weekend.
-
I think that compilation was actually out before they broke in the U.S. Which is still pretty funny.
-
At least you've got "Sledgehammer."
-
Shoulda gone with my gut on that Clemson/NC State game instead of picking the Wolfpack. Tigers are laying an ass-whoopin' in their first not-close game of the year.

Kate in the air duct was better.

With Tony Scott directing, "better" is unlikely. He's all right. The original movie is one of the greatest and most charmingly kinetic A to B chase films ever. Damn, do I love that movie.
-
Bob, you're a nut. Passengers is great.

Haha. Awesome. And to grad nite asking guy: expect thousands upon thousands. It's pretty much for the whole state.
-
Yeah, it looks like the Tail Team got the shitty hatch.

This guy's got a good point. None of the "biggest bands in the world" right now actually move a ton albums, except for U2. I think the new album has sold something retarded like 4 million copies in a year, and the album before sold another 4 million. And they weren't very good! Look at those guys go.

Weekend Boxoffice Report Oct 7-9
Edwin MacPhisto replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
Who cares? I don't think anyone who doesn't dress up as characters to go see movies had vast expectations for it. If they did they were kidding themselves. We got our movie from a cancelled TV show that didn't even make a season, which never happens. If it blows up internationally and on DVD there may be a sequel, but probably not. I'm more than happy with the great movie that came out of it all. -
The Warriors is amazing. This new version will be lame, but I don't care, because I'll probably watch the original five more times before it comes out.
-
Good damn episode. Ooh, yeah.

This thread can be like an aquarium. We're fish. Creeping in behind XTC, by virtue of one of my housemates borrowing my copy of Oh, Inverted World, is the Shins' "New Slang." Great song, but somewhat lessened for me after that godawful "SONG WILL CHANGE UR LIFE" scene in Garden State.

I can't see this being good. Nothing on Encore is really worth preserving, and none of the singles were actually "hits." The few good tracks on The Eminem Show won't make it since they weren't singles. Should make plenty of money, though.
